Under the Dome is an upcoming American science-fiction horror television series developed by Brian K. Vaughan based upon the novel of the same name by Stephen King. Both Vaughan and King will serve as executive producers along with Neal Baer, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Stacey Snider. Baer will serve as day-to-day showrunner. Danish director Niels Arden Oplev will direct the pilot. The premiere of Under the Dome is scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10PM on CBS.
Set in the not too distant future, Under the Dome tells the story of the residents of the small town of Chester's Mill, Maine who suddenly find themselves cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious, impenetrable barrier that surrounds the town. As the town begins to tear itself apart through panic, a small group of people attempt to maintain peace and order while also trying to uncover the truth behind the barrier and how to escape from it.

I'm actually really excited for this now, haha! I don't know why I wasn't, but now I am! YAY! Oh, AND BRITT ROBERTSON. Okay, consider me thrilled for this.

I'm not sure if this looks good or bad. I feel like this series could go either way. Nonetheless, I'm looking forward to finding out which way it leans.

Another teaser. Still don't know what to think about this show. It's just one of those 'wait and see' things.

Did anyone watch this? I forgot all about it, to be honest. I'll have to find it online.

I saw it. It was pretty great but there are some disturbing parts. All in all a great pilot

I watched it when it premiered last Sunday, and really enjoyed it. I thought it could have been a lot better, but I haven't read the novel (IT IS HUGE) so I can't blame King or the producers for that one. But yeah, I'll keep watching to see where it goes.

CBS began their presentation at TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today with the announcement that Under the Dome has been renewed for Season 2. The show will once again air in the summer, returning in 2014 for 13 new episodes.
When the show began, executive producer Brian K. Vaughan spoke about the hope that Stephen King, whose book the show is based on, would write episodes for the series, like George R.R. Martin does with Game of Thrones. That will indeed be the case in Season 2, with King writing the Season 2 premiere.
“We’re excited to tell more stories about the mystery of the dome and the secrets in Chester's Mill, and are thrilled to have the master storyteller himself, Stephen King, tell the first one of next season,” said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler.
