The Maze Runner follows a boy named Thomas as he wakes up in a mysterious lift, and the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by boys who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.
Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every thirty days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.
Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up, the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.
Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.
The film stars Dylan O'Brien as Thomas, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, Ki Hong Lee, Blake Cooper, and Aml Ameen. Filming began in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in May of 2013.

I wasn't that excited for this movie, seeing as how I read the book, and whilst I enjoyed it, it wasn't one of my favorite reads. But after looking at this stills from the movie, I'm pretty pumped to see how they do this. I think they can pull it off, because in the book, you, the reader, begin to unravel things just as Thomas does, so yeah... excited. Just PLEASE DON'T SCREW UP ANOTHER BOOK TO MOVIE ADAPTATION, LIKE SERIOUSLY.

I'm very excited about this film. Have not read the book, and I probably wont to be completely honest, but I'm really excited to see, at least, the trailer

Looks interesting. I have skimmed through the books, but haven't fully indulged my entire reading time in reading every page. Got to say I agree with Chris, the trailer is the most interesting part I can't wait. I just hope they do it justice and not destroyed the author's vision.

So, who thinks The Scorch Trials will be better than The Maze Runner?

I don't remember if I enjoyed the second book in the series as much as the first. I think I might have thought the same about both of them, but I'm very interested to see how they expand upon the world and how they introduce certain things. I'm excited.
