Sixteen year old Dave Fowler (Nathan Kress) a straight A student with a dream of being a being a lawyer has never done a bad thing in his life or made a mistake. But as Dave’s high school life winds down to a close he begins to wonder if has in fact made mistakes, his life is changed when Rose (Maiara Walsh) a wild child and party animal arrives with her parents and moves in next door and sends Dave's sheltered life into a tail spin, it will take help from his two best friends Garth (Connor Paolo) and Claire (Allison Scagliotti) to help get his life back on track.

CHARACTERS

Dave Fowler (Virtually portrayed by Nathan Kress) has always done what’s right and always followed his dream of being a lawyer, he is selfless, caring and an all-around good guy, but his straight arrow life is interrupted when Rose moves in next door sending the driven Dave’s life into a tail spin. His life is made more complicated by the fact that he is slowly falling for her.

Rose Adams (Virtually Portrayed by Maiara Waslh) is a wild child with a complicated past who moves in next to Dave, she can be wild, unpredictable and reckless, she usually leaps without thinking about the consequences. She has difficulty bonding with most women and finds them too dramatic but does take to Claire, she begins dating Dave’s nemesis Ryan much to his dismay.

Garth Robertson (Virtually Portrayed by Connor Paolo) is Dave’s oldest and best friend, he is very full of himself and believes himself to a self-proclaimed ladies’ man. Despite his confidence he is socially awkward around most women except for Claire. He always has Dave’s back and would do just about anything for his best friend.

Claire Matthews (Virtually Portrayed by Allison Scagliotti) is another of Dave’s closest friend. She is loud, rude and often condescending, she has a lot of attitude that most find repulsive, but doesn’t seem to bother Dave or Garth, she is heavily into film and wants to become the next Spielberg. She takes to Rose and the become close friends.

Ryan Gellner (Virtually Portrayed by Jacob Artist) a jock at Westmount High School, he is one of the most popular guy’s at school, and seems to enjoy picking on both Dave and Garth, or at least until Rose arrives and Ryan is forced to bond with them if he want's to continue to see her.

I know this is still undeveloped but so far there doesn't seem to be much plot. It doesn't seem have a lot of length. Instead of making this a series, think about a movie or a mini-series.

Another thing is it just feels like another generic teen drama. There's nothing that separates it from the leagues of other teen shows/movies. Think what this could do differently to them. Veronica Mars was a noir detective show set in a high school. Season 4 of the Wire explored how a group of high school kids lived in a city rife with crime and corruption. Vampire Diaries had a mythology that often made the writers forget about the high school aspect. And everyone knows about Buffy. Look for an unique angle.

My last point is bias and personal, but it's about the whole "always done what’s right and always followed his dream of being a lawyer, he is selfless, caring and an all-around good guy" aspect. In certain settings, war for example, that kind of character can be good, like Winters from Band of Brothers. But in straight drama's, I often find myself not caring and sometimes even forgetting they even exist. In recent years it's the selfish characters, the assholes that are the leads. Characters like Vic Mackey, Walter White and Nucky Thompson have become much more memorable leads than the typical good guy. People who rob, kill, have extra-marital affairs. People who by all rights should be hated have become the beloved leads in some of the most acclaimed TV shows ever made. Whether you choose to go down the edgier, anti-hero road though is your choice. That's just my personal opinion. Food for thought.
