Favourite Finale

Angel - Not Fade Away

Perfect. Angel and the Fang Gang go for an all out assault against Wolfram and Harts elite group, the Circle of the Black Thorn. It's a suicide attack and they all know it yet they go for it anyway.

Its a perfect end for an amazing series. Several deaths, emotional moments and the same awesome dialogue we come to expect from Whedon. And that ending... some people didn't like it, but I felt it was the only way the series could have ended. No matter how many enemies they defeat, no matter how hard they fight, there will always be more.

Other ones I like are are Battlestar Galactica - Sundown.


Mixed Feelings

Lost - The End

This finale was pretty awsome...till the final reveal. The on-island stuff was damn good. The off-island stuff was pretty emotional till they revealed what it all was.

I like the finale, but a big answer has polluted the entire final season.


Hated Finale

Buffy - Chosen

Besides the action, this finale was not real good. Buffy preached about freedom yet she forced the Slayer powers onto every single potential across the world. I mean, there was no other choice really but the way it was handled wasn't great.

Secondly, it wasn't really a Buffy episode. It was more about Spike and his redemption, right down to his own personal deus ex machina.

I have alot of issues with this episode but I'm not gonna keep going.

Favourite Finale

The X-Files - The Truth

This was everything and more I could have expected from the final episode of "The X-Files". It had everything that makes a finale a finale... it was simply put EPIC! Especially the last part, where we get some seriously cinematic-looking action and it all feels very big and dramatic, so you know it's not your ordinary X-Files episode.

Mixed Feelings

Smallville - Finale

This was not a bad episode, quite in fact it was a pretty good episode... but there were bits and pieces that I thought were dumb, but there were likewise bits and pieces that I thought were good, so I truly have mixed feelings about The Finale. I also feel that it's a little stupid that they brought back Lex for two/three scenes only, it felt too "For the fans" and less "Because it makes sense". And Tess... poor Tess (See "Smallville" thread for rant about Tess in The Finale).

Hated Finale

Stargate: Atlantis - Enemy At The Gate

This was a bad and rushed Finale for an otherwise (mostly) great series. Rushed is the keyword here, really... it all feels very squashed; so many things put together in just one episode. I believe the finale would have been MUCH better if it had been in two parts.

I'm gonna add The Shield finale "Family Meeting" to the list. It is one of the greatest finale's I've seen. It wasn't an action packed ride, it was one massive karmic kick up the ass for the remainder of the Strike Team and it was brual. It was so good....

Most Loved - The OC - it caught the series perfectly, and it was great to see Ryan at the end taking his adoptive fathers example. pure brilliance, if only we had seen ryan and taylor marry - that would have made it perfect.

Mixed feelings - Stargate Atlantis - too short, too rushed, but what they were trying to do was perfect and great. seeing atlantis taking in the hive ship was awesome.

Hated final - Stargate sg-1. After what was a good high action, brilliant tense drama 10th season came the anti-climax of the final episode. i know they were planning on the films, but the last ever episode should have much better still.

Favorite Finales are:
Charmed- Forever Charmed. The show ended on a good note, though it technically didn't end. Wrapping up with the next generation shown being taught magic for years to come gave some sort of a... satisfying thing.
