wow sry I've been really busy latley and havent put my input into this I really love the concept of a Bart spin off solid cast for the most, I totaly love the concept the only two negative things I have to say is
First: The thing that worries me most about this is timimg, Trinity and Watchtower are all ready in the works and I fear a third Smallville Spin-off would be over kill.
Second: Alona Tal, I cheaked and I double cheaked to make sure I was right, and Alona Tal is all ready assigned to an all ready picked up series, Connor I had posted that she would be joing a while before this had been posted sry...VPN has a new rule where an actor can only be in one show at a time. Especially considering if this does get picked up Connor will probably be begining its second season and she will be a full time regular. So she would have to be recasted.
Other than that I love the show and will reserve more judgement until I get to read the pilot, but this looks pretty all most solid Brandon!

Aww thanks Chris glad you reviewed it! Yeah Karl told me about Alona Tal a few days ago. No biggie. We'll prob use Hayden Patterniere for her now if she's not taken. I think Bludhaven would be totally different from like Watch Tower and Trinity since it kinda breaks away from the Smallville vibe and grow into more of a DC/Comic vibe. Though yeah i can understand the worry on that. Hopefully it won't be overkill. I'm pretty excited to test the water with Bart and these characters. i should be finish the pilot by the end of this week. It's taking longer then expected haha. I've never wrote in Script style haha.

I've never wrote in Script style haha. Actually, thats exactly what Watchtower and Trinity are doing. They are breaking away from the smallville vibe, completely, bringing in their own characters, and certain characters from the DC Comics, to make it more of its own show. So another series like that, is, and I have to say it, overkill. I completely agree with Matt on that one; which is a bit of bad news for this pitch. However, its not completely dead in the water. I have a proposition if you want to get this show in the 2010 fall, if not, it'll either be picked up much later, or be killed off. I think you should base this series on your character Elias Powers; and turn this series into something so much more than just a "flash/impulse" show. Take this character and bring him into the city of Bludhaven, where he joins the force and takes on several disturbing cases that soon become certain origin stories for amazing DC Comics. Then, as that is the main thing happening throughout the beginning of the series, you can bring in Dick Grayson and begin to show off his origin story, turning him into Robin by the end of the season; where the two form some sort of Trio. Honestly, in my opinion, what you have here is already amazing, but its just not going to work out, I'm afraid. So if there's another way you could spin the series, that'd be great, if not, I don't think I'll be picking up the pilot on this one.

Yes they're breaking away but having the same stories? Bludhaven has it own vibe which I'm sure is different and unique in his own right. I'll have to change everything i've had planned the WHOLE first season so far but i think it's doable. Bart just won't be the main lead. And I noticed you said trio. There's Conner as well. I mean he could be pushed to the second season though isn't there five Jossverse spin offs? Not that i'm trying to be smart or anything. I'm just a little confused as to why the staff think that it would be overkill when there's five Jossvers spin offs. Though if that's the only one it would be able to air on this incredible network *met others but hadn't had the interest like this one* then so be it i guess. it'll just be a LOT of work to change it all.

Though if that's the only one it would be able to air on this incredible network *met others but hadn't had the interest like this one* then so be it i guess. it'll just be a LOT of work to change it all. For starters, I don't get where you're getting this "same stories" thing from. I for one should know that Watchtower is nothing like Smallville, and neither is Trinity for that matter. They're two completely different things. Secondly, jossverse was the very first thing the forum started on. Its what created this forum. And not all shows were picked up at the same time, nor aired at the same time, so technically, yes there's 5 jossverse shows, but they're not all running at the same time, nor picked at the same time. Faith the Vampire Slayer was first with Angel and Buffy following behind - then came Connor and Cordy and that's how the jossverse began on this forum. Thirdly, what I'm trying to say is, good pitch, bad timing. Very, very, very, very bad timing. What the network doesn't want to see, to be more accurate I should say what I don't want to see, as the others running this network haven't really discussed this pitch with me, is that I don't want another "Superhero/dark city" series. Plus, Bart is not that much of an interesting character, there's not a lot shown of him on the series of Smallville that wants me to see a spin off done with him, plus he is part of the Justice League which will be apart of Watchtower. Fourthly, making shows takes a lot of time. I know when I first made Faith it underwent several changes. The original pilot was completely different to what I had now, and now with Story of a Girl, I've written out 3 different pilots, and still haven't found the right one. So yes, it takes a lot of work, but its worth it.

Okay Karl talk me into trying it. I don't know how far the series would stay just solely non-heroish after the first season. Though i guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

Thing is, we already have two shows doing what you're trying to pull off. So it really does need to change. The main thing you can keep is the city, Bludhaven. The characters that aren't of any superhero status; and try and build up a compelling story of an officer who steps into a world that is nothing like any other place he's ever been. Granted, you can bring in DC Comics character (that aren't being used on any other show) and tell their origin story, but I think, once you do, don't keep them around long enough for it to turn into a series about them. This proposition isn't a way for you to bring in Bart, and keep him on the show.

The series. I'm not interested in building a cop series. that not what Bludhaven is in the comics. I could had given it a try if i had enough freedom to bring in DC characters and work them into the story but i don't have that freedom of doing. If I bring in Dick then he can't stay so i'm not interested.

Who said to turn it into a "cop" series?? My suggestion was, that get rid of all the superheroes, and bring in at least ONE DC Comics character, to tell their origin over a series of episodes, or several seasons, as they blossum into their well known character. But, once they become the hero, don't have them on long enough for the show to turn into a series about superheroes. Thats all.

I'm in the process of rewriting the precise but there will prob be DC characters. Elias and these individual will be the main focus and their lives in Bludhaven.
