[glow=red,2,300]SECRET SOCIETIES[/glow]
Ritualistic killings and murders related to secret societies happen all the time, most of the time going unnoticed... but there are those who notice them... who take it on themselves to solve them, and put those faceless bastards behind private bars. But how does one capture someone who doesn't exist? How do you solve a murder that sometimes isn't even considered a murder by most? Well... there is a secret bureau that does this on a daily basis, and a special team, lead by experienced Special Agent Catherine Moore, that flies around the country in a jet and solves these murders. Some societies are small in size; cults... and some are much, much bigger, with deep politicial roots and much power. It is a highly dangerous job... one is always in danger, and that is why everyone who works at the bureau has to live close to the headquarters (in isolated small-city Rose City) under constant supervision. It's a tough job... and one has to be very strong in order to make it.
STARRING:
LUCY LAWLESS as Catherine Moore, The Team's experienced and often sarcastic-in-mood leader. She lost her husband, also having worked for the bureau, to a large cult years ago, after he "slipped up" on one of his cases. Since then, Catherine has to take care of their daughter, Iris, all on her own and balance her dangerous job with her complicated personal life and relationship to her daughter, who hates living "like a prisoner" in Rose City.
ALAN RITCHSON as Matthew Jackson, the team's weapons expert, but turns out to be suprisingly clever when situations demand so of him. Matthew too has lost a loved one to a secret society, but unlike Catherine, his happened long before being hired by the bureau. Matthew is very chatty, and his favorite hobby is to try different sorts of food and flavors. Matthew especially loves different types of potatoes... something his team-mates find a bit strange.
EMMANUELLE VAUGIER as Angela "Angie" Rivera, who specialises in going undercover. She is a great actress... and like Matthew, good with guns. Angela spends most of her spare time with the other members of the team; some of who live close to Angela, who lives just a few blocks from the headquarters. Angela has a sister that lives beyond Rose City, so she constantly worries about her safety.
MICHAEL WELCH as Chris Van Buyler, one of the team's two lab-techs. Chris and Kia work like siblings, there can be no without the other. They finish eachother's sentences all the time, like the same types of movies and foods. Chris tends to be very positive, and is an amateur when it comes to guns and weapons.
JULIA LING as Kia Ching, one of the team's two lab-techs. Like mentioned above, Kia and Chris work like siblings, there can be no without the other. Kia keeps shifting moods; she's positive one day, and then pissed off the other, so she's very unpredictible. Kia loves strawberries, and different types of drinks.
ALSO STARRING:
RUTGER HAUER as Boss Victor Stevens, the bureau's boss. He is as sharpest in the courtroom, and good with numbers. Ever since "Genesis" and before, Stevens and Catherine have had a chilly relationship... but Stevens still sees the potential within her, so he kept her as the team's leader.
with A.J COOK as Carmen McField, one of the bureau's sharpest courtroom-people, right next to Stevens. Together, she and Stevens make a great team in the courtroom.
RECURRING CHARACTERS:
LOGAN HUFFMAN as Blue Eyed Man, Peanut Lady's personal protector.
Appearances: "The Green Garden", "Mr. X"
SHIRLEY MANSON as Peanut Lady, the mysterious Lilithan figure that never dies. The main-villain of the series.
Appearances: "The Green Garden", "Mr. X"
ALAN DALE as Greyson Lockley, head of a major Secret Society.
Appearances: "The Green Garden", "Mr. X"
EPISODES:
1x01 "The Tooth Fairy"
1x02 "The Green Garden"
Synopsis: The Team investigates murders where only flowers and plants have been present, and a society known as "The Green" makes its presence known through these murders. A mass-murder is planned by this society... and it is up to the team to track them down in time and stop them. Uma Thurman guest stars.
1x03 "Young Blood"
Synopsis: The Team investigates a brutal death at an elementary school, where the victim has been drained on all blood (among other things). The death seems to be the work of a smaller cult rather than one of the big ones (as encountered in the previous two episodes) but nonetheless, The Team gets their hands full...
1x04 "The Next Generation"
Synopsis: At an ice-arena several of the lead actors have been kidnapped in the middle of their shows, by mysterious women in black. This pattern repeats itself several times, and the team comes there, Kia and Chris doing some research into the past of this arena... and discovering that a long time ago, there was a small town here, where more so called "Witches" were burned than anywhere else...
1x05 "The Other Guys"
1x06 "Mr. X"
More Episodes to come...
