PREMISE

Centuries ago, an ancient device known as "Solomon's Door" was created this device granted access to other realties. A powerful and deadly warlock named Mason tried to take control of the door but was eventually sealed away by an equally powerful witch, Amara.

NOW

Centuries later, in Egypt Mason's followers have successfully broken Mason out of his cell. Miles and miles away in the seemingly unimportant North Carolina town of Destiny Falls. Matthew Sullivan is about to discover he has been destined to protect not only his world, but every world, from the ruthless Mason. Along with his friend's Emily Quinton, Justin Davis and Shannon Carter. Matthew prepares for the coming war, well all the while trying to impress the popular and beautiful Lisa. [/center]

CHARACTERS

Matthew Sullivan, (Portrayed by Steven R.McQueen)

Matthew was just another student till the arrival of Melanie, changed his world forever. After discovering that his family's legacy was to protect Solomon's door. Matthew is initially hesitant but when push comes to shove Matthew always does the right thing. He is also a natural born leader.

Emily Quinton (Portrayed by Jessica Stroup)

Crippled by the recent death of her mother, Emily has found herself spirally. Though the police believe her mother died in a tragic car accident, Emily knows the real truth, that an ancient cult known as the Cabal is behind her death. As Emily grapples with this truth and death can her two best friends, Matthew and Shannon save her before it's too late. Emily also is the editor of the school's newspaper "The Destiny Falls Tribune"

Justin Davis (Portrayed By Dan Byrd)

Justin is the class clown, always throwing out sarcastic comments when people begin to ignore him, Justin is Matthew's best guy friend. Though Justin can come off as geeky Justin is by all means no coward, always ready to fight for his friends. Justin quickly developes feelings for Emily, though with all her defences up can there ever be hope for the two?

Shannon Carter (Portrayed By Dianna Agron)

Shannon is one of Emily's closest friend, having found herself the victim of a ghost possesion. Shannon is thrusted into world of monsters, demons and evil cults that want to kill her friends. Though still a wild child at heart, Shannon is always on the look out for a good fun party, and believes that her friends need "fun" now more than ever.

Lisa Fonda (Portrayed by Lucy Hale)[/

Lisa is a perfect student, she is the most popular girl at school, she is class president and head cheerleader. When her parents begin to be affected by the ressesion, she turns to Haley's bookstore for a job. After landing it she begins growing closer to Matthew, who she develops a crush on. Though his constant lies push her futher to discovering what it is he is hiding.

Jonathan "Jack" Evans (Portrayed By Chuck Hittinger)

Jack is the school's Quarterback, he is fierce and tuff. Jack is an antagonist to both Matthew and Justin and never turns down a chance to pick on either of them, he used to date Lisa. Which is why he now dislikes Matthew. Though upon meeting Shannon his feelings and actions slowly begin to change.

Haley Sullivan (Portrayed By Kristen Bell)

Haley is Matthew's overprotecvtive and some time's overbearing older sister. She is a strong, confident woman. After her mother's death and her father's sudden dissapeance she gave up her dreams of going to college and leaving her small town to keep her family together, she also runs her own book store "Book Paradise" which Matthew sometimes helps her run.

1.03: If Today Was Your Last Day
- The group returns home, only to discover Lisa has been taken hostage by an agent of Mason's.
- Melanie comes face to face with the Mason.
- An explosion rocks Destiny Falls.
- A government agent arrives shaking up the groups life.
- Jack suspects Matthew knows more than he's telling.

1.04: Aftermath
- The fates of Hannah, Haley and Melanie are revealed.
- Emily ties in the explosion to her mother's killer and discovers the same person was behind both.
- Blinded by revenge Emily and Matthew lead an attack on those responsible, with no options Justin is left to save his friends from certain death.

1.05: Graceful
- Haley plans a thanksgiving dinner.
- Justin and Emily embark on an awkward romance.
- Haley and Matthew's sister Grace returns home for the occasion.
- Kelly grills Justin for answers about recent events.

1.06: Minutes to Midnight (Mid season finale)
- It's Matthew's turn to face-off with Mason.
- Shannon makes a shocking discovery about Haley's bookstore.

1.07: Six Months Ago
- Flashbacks take us to the night Emily's mother was killed.
- Emily's discoveries threaten her relationship with Justin.
- The group learns Principle Allmen may not be who he says he is.

1.08: Fight or Flight
- Matthew wakes up in the bookstore shocked to discover what's happened to him.
- Agent Morris reveals his true intentions.
- Jack discovers Matthew's secret and realizes Shannon has been less than honest.
- Justin and his mother spend some time re-connecting.

1.09: Changing Ways
- Emily taps into her witch powers, Amara passed on to her.
- Matthew discovers who saved Emily from the car accident.
- Shannon and Justin discover a way to kill Mason.

1.10: Tebula Rasa
- Shannon's lead has unforeseen effects on the group.
- Mason discovers where the door has been hiding.
- Kayla Allmen joins the Destiny Falls Tribune much to Emily's dismay.

1.11: Cabal
- Mason learns how to harness the door's powers.
- An old friend returns to help the group stop Mason once and for all.


NOTES: This is a series that's been in production for quite some time as some of you may know. It's a bit of One Tree Hill meets Buffy the vampire slayer with a dash of The Vampire Diaries. The way it's like TVD is that if you know what's happening in the town then you get a much bigger story than those who don't. Each season will feature a season villain, well in the back of the show a series villain slowly forms. I have written episodes 1,2 and 4. Three is also near completion.

Matt, I really like it. When reading the pitch, I thought it was a mix of The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill and when you made a note of that after the pitch, I really felt like you knew your story, its characters and where you want to take them. That's a good sign and I know you've been working on this for a LONG time so, you've put a lot of work into building the story..

The pitch, overall was great But I did feel in dark when it came around to explaining how or why Matthew was chosen. I want to know more about the history of the artifact and how Matthew found himself being chosen. A lot of these "destiny" storylines for characters seem random, I know, but they all have an reason for why it happened to them. I'd like to know more about that

The episodes look promising so far xD Very diverse and I love the way that each episode seems to move ahead with the story. Can't wait for full summaries. Also looking forward to the character summaries. For me, the characters make the show so, good luck!

Its good to see you're pitching again, Matt.

First off, I'll get the 'bad' out of the way. I'm not a huge fan of the cast. I think, my main concern, is there are way too many characters, and the problem I had with Brian's "V.A.M.P" was that there were too many characters to follow and remember. But, if you can distinguish their personalities differently, and show they're not all similar, then it may be okay with me. Also, with the cast, it sort of feels like if all the CW actors/actresses got together for a project - I'd like some more variety. Its nothing story wise, but I'm just not too keen on having Steven R.McQueen, Jessica Stroup, Leighton Meester, and Sophia Bush all in the same cast as 'regulars.'

The only other bad thing I can see with the pitch is a few SPAG errors, that sort of put me off. Fullstops where they shouldn't be, or sentences ending wrong.

Okay, onto the good stuff. I like the premise, its very interesting. I'm instantly drawn into the story, and excited to see what this show could bring. The characters are also rather intriguing, especially Matthew Sullivan (hehe Chloe's brother, jks jks). You've also got a lot of supernatural elements here, like "Solomon's Door" and names like "Amara" which really helps with picturing what kind of things we'll be seeing on the show.

You've said that you've got the first episode done - I really hope you post it because I think that will ultimately be the game changer here; you've got me interested, and wanting to see more. Just a few changes to the cast would be better (some fresher faces) and yeah. I personally like the title "Solomons Door" for the show, but I don't know how long that story goes for -- Destiny Falls just sounds too campy for me.
