REALITY CHECK

It's the year 2003, and valley girl, Trudence "Trudie" Vanderpoel, seems to have the teenage existence that most girls around the world could only dream of. With beauty, money, outrageous popularity and a boyfriend other girls would gladly kill for, the concept of kindness was completely lost to Trudie as she ruled the school with an iron fist and zero tolerance level for "freaks".

However, this spoilt primadonna receives one hell of a wake up call when an accident at what was expected to be the shinning night of her life, Senior Prom, forces her to awaken eight years later in the present year of 2011.

Now, twenty-five year old Trudie has no recognition of anything she's done in the past eight years that somehow landed her in a life completely opposite from the one she'd planned or exactly who she is in this present day.

With the help of a hesitant old schoolmate whom she once taunted, Trudie must find a way to salvage what's left of her future, while at the same wondering just how the hell she can manage getting back to the past she somehow bypassed.

AIMEE TEEGARDEN AS TRUDENCE "TRUDIE" VANDERPOEL
BIO: Eighteen-year-old Trudie had it all — money, beauty, popularity, and an extremely nasty attitude. She had the life all teenager girls dreamed of, until a terrible accident at her 2003 senior prom leads her to wake up eight years later in 2011 to a life completely opposite of what she’d expected for herself. With no idea why she’s suddenly a twenty-five year old and no recollection of the past eight years, with the help of an old schoolmate Trudie must learn to take control of her present, while somehow finding her way back to her past.



ANDREJ PEJIC AS HOLDEN FARLEY
BIO: Since childhood Holden has been teased for being the “boy with a girl’s face”, one of his main tormentors being none other than Trudie herself. Now, a handsome – beautiful when he so chooses – full grown man, Holden is doing well for himself and is more than surprised when his former high school nemesis reappears in his life and he is the only one who can help her.

JACKSON RATHBONE AS ALEXANDER "XANDER" McCARTHY
BIO: The ugly duckling turned swan. Once an awkward, gangly kid who’s classmates never looked twice at, Xander, in the past eight years, has matured in a handsome, more confident, young artist. Though he is very good friends with Holden in the present day, their relationship becomes strained when he is reunited with his high school tormentor.


MARQUES HOUSTON AS DEWAYNE CHARLESTON
BIO: Since his days ruling the halls of his high school, adulthood has given Dewayne a new outlook on life and helped him to grow as a person. BOD member of his father’s billion dollar company, Dewayne’s life has turned out just the way he always planned – with the exception of the woman he’ll soon be walking down the isle with.


SOLANGE KNOWLES AS SASHA VALERIE
BIO: Once Trudie best friend and most trusted confidant in their high school years, Sasha has grown into a colder, more vicious individual who wants nothing to do with her former ally. Her life has definitely turned out more glamorous than Trudie’s with her currently engaged to Trudie’s high school sweetheart and all.

Summary: On the night of her senior prom, Trudie Vanderpoel finds her life turned upside down when a crowning accident leads her to wake up eight years in the future.

Summary: While searching for a way back to 2003, Trudie learns some shocking surprises about her present life, and makes a startling discovery about a few people from her past as well.

1x03 Love Don't Cost A Thang
Summary: Determined to make the best out of her new life, Trudie decides to throw herself into the dating game. Ill feelings for Trudie from high school cause a rift between Holden and Xander.

So, this is just a little idea that I had popping around popping around in my brain. It's really a Dramedy with only a pinch of Supernatural (I assuming waking up in the future would fall in the Supernatural genre. That or Sci-fi).

I'm currently working on this as my main project of the moment but I wanna be sure that I can completely see this running for more than a season or two before I think about switching it over to the real pitching section. Any feedback given would be greatly appreciated and valued. ;D
