Hey D.C, I wouldn't worry too much about feeling out of the loop so much on knowing the heroes and such.  Not that I'm discouraging you from looking them up or anything, but Outcasts, and I'm sure Age of Heroes as well, are really good without knowing anything about the Marvel world except the common stuff. I'm sure you'll be right in the loop with everyone and will enjoy them just as much as anyone! =D |

^-^ Reyna is right you can still read Outcasts and AoH and not have to know too much of the comics but still that's never a reason not to read them
And Aimee I frickin' love them! Iron Man and Spider-Girl are so frickin' awesome XDD and that picture is just amazing
