NEWS POSTED FEBRUARY 3, 2010. To expand on the VPtoday, network executives personally asked me to open up a question and answer thread, weekly, answering those fans who are dying to know about whats to come with their favourite shows. Check out what I found! Spoilers Below: Question: Oh my god! Joss Whedon always kills off the most favoured characters, don't tell me thats what the producers on Faith the Vampire Slayer are doing!? Scoop! Scoop! - JarrodTrish: Don't fret, Faith fan! Sources confirm that the death count has been cut down to just one. At least thats what creator Jack Malone told us! "Oh no, its really just one major character death this season," he began, confirming the two deaths as a misunderstanding, "But the other thought-to-be-death is a lot more shocking than biting the dust. Question: This season of Faith the Vampire Slayer is even better than the first! I'm more of a Mark/Faith shipper than a Robin/Faith shipper. Anything good coming up with them? - JuliaTrish: Unfortunately, no. At least not any coming up soon. However, the second episode in, returning March 23rd, is centered on Mark being brought into this supernatural world, and might just figure out Faith's deep dark secret... Question: I'm starting to miss the wacky humour in Faith. Any good, funny scenes, or episodes in the future for us fans who enjoyed that sorta thing in season one? - PaulTrish: Ahhh! Great question! With the season taking a dark turn, the producers have confirmed that they too enjoy the one or two episodes that sort of bring the funny on home. "Sisters, Faith and Jennifer, get in quite a funny situation themselves in the next few episodes," the producers confirmed, "Lets just say they aren't themselves..." Question: In. Desperate. Need. Of. Buffy. Scoop! - SharnaTrish: The producers are still wrapping up their official outline of the season to hand into the Network Executives. From what I heard, we'll be seeing a lot of familiar faces this season, alike Elizabeth Anne Allen, who plays Amy Madison, Robin Sachs, who plays the marvellous Ethan Rayne, and, just confirmed a few minutes ago -- the mysterious Whistler shows up once again! Question: We saw the pre-screening a while back, and I was wondering. Its clearly obvious that James and Buffy will become somewhat of an item. How far will their relationship be taken this season, and the overal series, if possible. They're very cute together! - SarahTrish: As they say on Dollhouse, nothing is what it appears to be. James' main plot this season isn't to be a significant other, in fact, his storyline stretches well into the ninth season. His sub plot is to form a nice, normal relationship with the slayer, but as for how long it will last, its not revealed. Question: Being a complete Bander (Buffy/Xander) fan, can we expect any big moments, possible romance-y scenes, between those two this season? - AlexanderTrish: Sorry, straight of the bat, I'd have to say no. Of course, you may get the touch-y feel-y friendship stuff, with the occassional flirt and jokes, but Xander will be very much in love with Anya, and even if that's not going so well, he wouldn't turn to Buffy to start up another relationship. Question: Fabulous Cordy is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Scoop us! - SamTrish: Anyone a huge Brad Pitt fan? Anyone at all? Question: Has a release date for Angel's return been announced? I really want to see how they wrap up his story, and how the rest of the season plays out! - HankTrish: Sources confirm that Angel is on a little longer break than expected. "Faith the Vampire Slayer is my main priority right now," Jack Malone revealed, "Angel's been a huge part of me, and I'd never let it go! Once Faith's second season comes to a close, Angel will return for its final episodes!" Hope that doesn't let you fans down too much! At least this new rumor might cheer you up -- looks like Spike and Illyria are being fitted into a mini series. Exciting? Question: What happened to Connor? I really enjoyed the latest episode it released! Any possibility the network will pick it up for a second season? - ThomasTrish: You're in luck, matey! The Network confirms possibilities of the show continuing. "The season has three more episodes to play out, that will be judged accordingly," they revealed, "If all things go as planned, the show could survive on the network. We have officially come out and cancelled the show, yes, but we are looking for what the producers have to offer us in the final three episodes to consider a possible return. There's always room for a movie..." Question: Any spoilers on the series finale of Connor? - HayleyTrish: Unfortunately, its beeing kept pretty tight. But we believe an old villain will return to play out as Connor's ultimate arch nemesis; the show still has to deal with the Eve characters, so its all going to be amazing! Everybody tune in to shoot the ratings through the roof! Question: I was really looking forward to that Story of a Girl series. Any news on that? - LilyTrish: Sources confirm that the producers are considering on releasing a film, but with the creator taking a bit of work off his back to get on with school, and concentrate on that, its not looking good for the drama series. "The characters, and stories, were very close to me. But I had to draw the line, and make a sacrifice for my educational purposes," he revealed, "If there's a chance to bring them back, I will!" Question: Thoughts Without Thinking looks great! How many episodes in the new dramedy? - JoTrish: If I'm correct, the network has purchased 15-17 episodes to start off the show. It may extend, but as of now, its got to impress the network with those first 15-17 bought! But damn, doesn't look like it'll fail, does it! I'm definately checking this one out! Question: I need a gifted scoop! Like immediately! Been dying to watch the new take for like EVER! - HarryTrish: Reports of Sam Witwer signing onto the series has been confirmed as true! He'll be playing Hybrid. However, this information is for a role in the second season, which, by the way, sounds totally awesome!! Question: I heard about the Trinity/Watchtower film. Has an official description been released yet? - JakeTrish: THE WORLD FACES TOTAL ANNIHILATION - When the Legion approach Chloe (Allison Mack) at Watchtower, she finds herself waking up in the not too distant future where the world is overrun by Dr. Emil Hamiltons (Alessandro Juliani) superior race of metahumans, known as Raiders. Coming across long time friend, Lana Lang (Kristin Kruek), she is informed of the epic battle, and how the country came into Amanda Wallers (Pam Grier) control. As the war rages near, Chloe soon uncovers the identity of Darkwatch to be Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley); and when the two cross paths, only one will leave alive. After discovering what she has to do to prevent this future from happening, she returns to the past and joins forces with Lanas gang back in Odyssey to take down Amanda and stop Emil from ever creating his superior race. But not everyone will survive to see how it ends? Christian Bale, Paul Wesley, Kayla Ewell, Michael McKean, Anna Paquin, Jamie Bamber, and Sam Jones III also star. Question: Will Lana, from Trinity, be getting a new love interest, that doesn't fly around in tights, and call themselves the Blur? - RichieTrish: Ooh. Nothing solid has come up from my research, and investigating, but I do believe Sam Jones III is reprising his role as Pete Ross, Lana's future husband. So maybe something between those two will happen. Then again, Lois has been on smallville for 6 years before finally getting with Clark! Question: Are the rumors true? Are we getting a lot of Chlollie in Watchtower? - JennaTrish: Damn straight! Allison Mack herself confirms that Chloe's main guy in her life is the Emerald Archer. "Its really fun to be stretching out the Smallville franchise with a character who doesn't even originate from the mythology of the comics," she began, excited about the show, "And to be returning with Justin makes it so much easier! I can't wait to show you the connection these two share. Its so overwhelming. Personally I've always been a Chlollie shipper." Question: I'm a huge Lois fan. Is there any chance she will show up in either show, Trinity, or Watchtower. - EricTrish: Producers are currently stretching to get Erica Durance onto Chloe Sullivan's spin off series for a possible story arc in the second season. However, they confirm that it will be a maximum of five episodes, and will be there to provide those Smallville fans a little info on what could be happening back in Metropolis, with Clark, and co. "They're both cousins, so I don't see why not" he said, "I think it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to bring her on the show; but I think if we did we'd have to oblige by the Network's rules, as it is asking a lot from them to bring in a character from the comics, tied into Superman, and not Batman, or the Green Arrow. So, yeah, hopefully its possible." That's it for this week! Hope to see you fans back for my questions on your favourite shows. Next weeks will be centered around Brian Melanson's "The Path Not Taken", "Thoughts without Thinking" and "X-Men: Legends"! So come check it out!!

NEWS UPDATED JANUARY 31 2010.Series producers of Faith the Vampire Slayer has released some spoiler-y goodness, followed by contractual agreements, not to mention some news about who you could see next season. Dear VPN,
Faith the Vampire Slayer has recieved an official return date of March 23rd, returning on its new Tuesday Night. The first two episodes back will be scripted (teleplayed) by Nathan A. Johnson, whose previous work has recieved high reviews, and I hope you welcome him into the forum as you have I. Sam Witwer has contracted for a special guest recurring role in a three episode arc (Playing Hero, Truth, and Vessel), playing the somewhat, mid season bad guy that you'll all love to hate. Speaking of contracts, Elisabeth Rohm (Kate Lockley from Angel) has officially signed a deal with the producers, to return in Faith's third season playing Kate, in a series regular role. Joining her is another alumni of Angel, that we hope would surprise you. As the season finale drawers closer, more information on the third season will be revealed, like who will be returning, and who won't. I can reveal that two fan-favourite characters will be leaving the show, one way or another, before the Season Finale, take that anyway you please, and no spoilers on who they are will be revealed. I will say that its not Anthony, as many responses have been questions about him, and his survival on the show. I am scheduled to write 9 more episodes of this season, whereas Nathan will be writing 5 more. He has been a blast to work with, so trustworthy, and you'll definately be seeing him back for season three as an Executive Producer. Onto spoilers, hmm, what can I reveal? The Council's storyline is no where near finished. Harold may be gone, but damn, this second half of the season shows that there's a lot more going on. The downfall of each character has not happened yet, though, some were in dark places at the start of the season, its only going to get worse. Last spoiler...are you guys ready? The future will come a little closer to home. |

NEWS POSTED JANUARY 31, 2010Here's comes an exclusive story from VPN executives in regards to Megan Lizford & Nicole Rodrigrez's "Thoughts Without Thinking" series and Jack Malone's "Story of a Girl"
It's official! Network executives have just picked up drama/comedy series, "Thoughts Without Thinking" (Co-Created by: Megan Lizford & Nicole Rodriguez) for our 2010 line-up!
This new drama follows the story of two female screenwriters wanting to make it big in the network in which they are working. It follows the lives of Nicole and Megan who have quite a history, from being literally inseparable in high school but their fun was over when there were both going to different colleges. Trying to keep their friendship but sadly failed, the two lost contact for quite a few years but recently reunited a few months ago.
Now the two are getting to know each other once again, remaining the good friendship. With the help of Nicole, Megan secured a writers spot on of the highest rated shows which bring Megan closer to her dream of producing and writing her own series.
These two girls will deal with the amounts of onset drama, incessant problems, romance, work and lots and lots of comedy.
In other news, production for VPN's "Story of a Girl" has been discontinued. Creator Jack Malone has decided to stop production of the series in order to focus more on his other shows and above all, his education. Thoughts Without Thinking will be taking the place of Story of a Girl, which would air Thursdays at 8/7 central. Stay tuned for more information regarding VPN's latest drama series |

NEWS POSTED JANUARY 10, 2010. The Virtual Productions Network's Head Executives Chris Davis and Jack Malone have announced early renewals for two of the Network's Highest Rated Shows. Dear VPN staff and members,
After closely examining VPN's Highest Rated shows, Faith the Vampire Slayer and Fabulous Cordy, we have decided to give both of them an early renewal.
FAITH THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Being the Network's very first show, it immediately caught a wide audience with consistant high ratings that pushed it into a successful second season. Having entered its mid season finale a few weeks ago, not only was the rest of the season being discussed with Head Executives Chris Davis & Jack Malone, but a possible third season. Being informed by the producers of the show that it only gets deeper and darker as it plunges into a third year, with the plock thickining and the characters furthermore developing, it was rested upon for quite some time. But now, its been officially announced. Faith the Vampire Slayer will continue its final 14 episodes of the second season, and jump straight back into the action with its third. For more information, check back for details on cast, spoilers, news, and more in the coming months!!
FABULOUS CORDY When the Network took a risk in picking up this hip new show, telling a somewhat "what if" story about the character of Cordelia Chase from the WB's Hit Television series 'Angel' several doubts filled their heads. As the release date came closer and closer, it was feared by both Head Executives that the series would unfortunately flop as a wide fan base wasn't rolling in, and it being based on a character not too many saw fondly after the events of 'Angel's fourth season. However, its premiere kicked off with the highest of ratings, and has maintained top ratings over the course of its episode. So, taking risks seems to be going amazingly well for this hit virtual series -- therefor the Network has picked up a complete second season of the show created by Nicole Rodriguez, and hopes this even bigger risk contains its high standard of virtual entertainment. As for the plots and schemes of season 2, tune in for the next couple of months to find out more details! |

NEWS POSTED JANUARY 10, 2010.The VPN's Head Executive, Chris Davis and Vice Executive Jack Malone have announced VPN's renewed and canceled shows. Read their report below.Dear VPN staff and members,
After closely examining VPN's series', we've have come to a decision in regards to renewals and cancellations.
RENEWED
ANGEL: Season Six, created by Jack Malone. The continuation of the Angel series, being VPN's highest rated show and having struck the network head on with it's amazingly written episodes and spot on Jossverse character portrayals. After airing seven episodes so far, VPN has ordered 15 more episodes to finish the series.
Fabulous Cordy, created by Nicole Rodriguez Being one of VPN's highest rated shows, the 4 aired episodes have received nothing but perfect ratings. The early renewal was pretty much a no brain-er and the network has ordered 8 more episodes to finish the first season.
Faith, the Vampire Slayer, created by Jack Malone Back with its second season, VPN's very first series has been renewed! Amazingly high ratings and excellent plots make this show a must see, making the network purchase 14 more episodes this season. Also, a season three is already being discussed with Network Executives.
CANCELED
Connor, by Matthew James Sadly, the series has been canceled. The ratings were simply to low and the episodes were below average on the entertainment meter. However, the network has ordered a set of 3 more episodes to finalize the series. Connor will join "VAMP" in the VPN's canceled shows archive were it will always be preserved. |

NEWS POSTED SATURDAY 9 JANUARY, 2010.Running into Faith the Vampire Slayer Producers, I was able to quote them on some juicy new storylines coming your way when the show returns -- which at the moment, appears to be February. ***Quoted from Jack D. Malone on Faith the Vampire Slayer***February seems to be the month all the shows are returning, so I've been working really hard on the next few episodes. We've got a juicy episode to return with, centered on one of the characters that has been in the background for most of the season. She believes herself to be the vessel and shares a dark past with the new demonic being Allistar -- who comes from the Destroyer's home dimension. On top of that, things begin to rattle up in the next few chapters of the season from Mark uncovering the truth about Faith, and slayers, and demons to one of the longtime characters of the series biting the dust. The second half of the season will explore new depths or darkness; and as the season finale draws close we've got it on good authority that you can pretty much bank on a third season. To clarify any rumours, Alexis Denisof and Elisabeth Rohm are joining the cast next season, as well as Jared Padalecki who will become somewhat of a main character for that season. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to say who'll be returning from this season yet, as it will spoil the rest of this current season -- but I can tell you that each new episode of season 2 will pay tribute to the final episode, and if you can figure out who the vessel is before the end based on the numerous amounts of clues in the first half, and now in the second half, I wouldn't be surprised. But it won't be easy. And I hope you enjoy what I've got stored!! |

NEWS POSTED DECEMBER 30, 2009. Faith the Vampire Slayer successfully ran its first half of the season, airing a complete eight episodes out of the full twenty two. No word yet has surfaced about a renewal, but word of a third season is already beginnning to arise. Whether not the rumours are true, the ratings of Faith the Vampire Slayer prove that it could go for a lot longer. Creator Jack Malone has expressed interest in a five year plan, telling VPtoday he has 5 seasons he wants to do with this kick ass slayer.
Expect a promotional trailer within the first week of January, for the 2010 Fall. For those of us who've had a private screening of all the trailers, you would want to catch this one. Not only does it tease Oz's return, which looks epic to say the least, but this new Allistar figure has a lot to do with it.

NEWS POSTED 25 DECEMBER, 2009. The Fall of 2009 is coming to an end. To celebrate its success we caught up with Jack Malone, who spoils a possible third season of Faith, the Watchtower premiere, Angel's last stand, and more.
VPtoday: So, the year's over. Next Fall has finally arrived, and the last episode of Faith the Vampire premieres this Saturday. Anything you can tell us about the mid season finale?
Jack Malone: Well, originally, a different mid season finale was supposed to air, but with all the delays I face this year, it was impossible to catch up to it in time. But, this somewhat finale will be just as epic. We'll have the gang finally forming into a solid group, with all members (excluding Oz) joining to fight an apocalypse of some kind.
VPtoday: Does this involve the hellmouth opening like last season?
Jack Malone: The Hellmouth will be mentioned. And plays a big role with one of the characters. It sort of erupts through one of the characters, and sends images of the future outcome of this season. Which is what this character needed. A look of how bad things can get, so they can know they're life is great at the moment.
VPtoday: Intriguing. There's been a lot of visions this season, so far, plan to keep going with that?
Jack Malone: Well, the characters pretty much have seen all they need to see. Episode 11, which was supposed to be the finale, wrapped up Faith's visions; and the images the character in this upcoming one will express what he saw.
VPtoday: So tell us. This whole season has had a lot of future storylines. Faith seeing a possible outcome. Now this new character experiencing flashes. Will Faith, or any other character, be taken to the future this season?
Jack Malone: Yes. But nothing is what it appears to be.
VPtoday: Ooh. Any news on a third season?
Jack Malone: The ratings are great. The show's moving to a more popular night. I think you can bank on a third season. I believe it'll be happening, and me and my Executive Producer, Nathan Johnson, who joined the project this season actually, will be tightly working on it. I have a great story planned for the characters, and his input for that season will make it even better.
VPtoday: So, season three's a possibility. You're not killing off everyone, like it seems in the visions.
Jack Malone: Tune in next fall to see "Vessel". That episode will explain a lot of unanswered questions based on the visions.
VPtoday: So, onto your other project, Angel. What can we expect when he returns, and any official dates yet?
Jack Malone: Hmm ... Angel. Thats a toughy. I can say, I've been working heavily on the finale; trying to find the right ending to his story. I can tell you that most of your favourite characters will be surviving, but they will be heavily affected by the final apocalypse. That said, there will be plenty deaths, big fights, high budget fights in fact, and a good send off. I have Gwen returning in a few weeks; the tragic story of Gunn; and a lot of juicy stuff coming this way on the VPN. I can say, I think his story will be wrapped up enough for fans to let go of the character. And hopefully, the season continues to stay interesting for them to stick around to see his last stand.
VPtoday: Any airdates planned?
Jack Malone: Not sure about that. Initially, I was thinking February. But like I said, it hasn't been discussed.
VPtoday: Last of all, how's Watchtower coming along? Give us some news on that. How did you impress the Network Execs with this one? What have you got planned for Chloe Sullivan?
Jack Malone: I pieced together what we like to call demos. They're short pieces of a pilot that introduces all characters, they're story for that episode, and how they connect with one another. So immediately you'd see chemistry or tension between some, and little things like that. It got picked up on the small demo, and since then, I've been planning the official Pilot.
VPtoday: Whats the overal story? Is it the same as the demo?
Jack Malone: Completely different. I've aged the Huntress, to suit the mythos. It'll be her 21st birthday in the premiere, and we discover she's out for blood on the Roman Maffia. Chloe is still her quirky, curious self, with a rather dark edge to her. There's somewhat of a triangle between her, Oliver, and Bruce, as they all share a great connection with one another. Alike Batman Begins with Rachel Dawes, Chloe will be the one to help Bruce understand there's a difference between Justice and Vengeance, and hopefully help pulls his dark character towards the light, in a sense, and tie him up to the mythos. The first two episodes mesh well, we have Adam Baldwin guest starring as Black Mask in the first two episodes, proving to be a very big villain. I chose him to show the viewers that Gotham is nothing like Metropolis, where things are expressively brighter, and more heroic, down to Earth heroes - where in here, Gotham City, its dark, awful, and just an all out bad place to be.
VPtoday: Chloe's been one of those characters that has always had that fierceness about her. Like she could handle things by herself. So her being the main character of a television show should do her justice. Anything else you'd like to say before we wrap this up and get crackin' on next year's big interviews?
Jack Malone: [laughs] Trying to get rid of me, are you? Well, I really think that the second half of Faith season 2 will top its first, and should prove to delve the characters into more development. The story gets very complicated from Ep.11 onwards, so you might want to prepare for when it returns. With Angel, just keep following the story, and you won't fall off track, I apologize for the major delays, mid terms proved to be a bitch that year which is why I'm separating my work into two different times of the year. Like semesters. Semester 1 will have Watchtower, Angel and Faith. Semester 2 will kick off with Story of a Girl, Buffy Season Eight, and X-Men Legends. I hope you enjoy the VPN in 2010. Stick around!
VPtoday: Thanks for meeting me here, Jack. Merry Christmas. And to all you gossip freaks, I'll be back to post juicy spoilers of the shows during their hiatus breaks. That includes, Fabulous Cordy, Connor, Faith the Vampire Slayer and Angel, who faces his final battle next fall. Be prepared to say goodbye to a huge part of the jossverse world. Will he live, or die? Be there February as he faces his final moments ...

NEWS POSTED 23 DECEMBER, 2009. Its official. Smallville spin off 'Watchtower' has entered production, and could very well be kick starting its first season sometime in April next fall. A promo was released from the network, showcasing the actress' new look. However, when asked about the sudden hairstyle change, the actress told us that she'd been dying to change her hair all year, and the producers were happy enough to let her keep it throughout a possible second season. But as for the first, they'd like to keep it blonde, as long as possible, so that the fans don't feel like too much has changed with the character. That said, you should all watch out for a very dark season of Watchtower this fall, and hope you stay tuned for the crossover event of the year 'A Future Worth Fighting For'.

NEWS POSTED 18 DECEMBER, 2009. Earlier this morning, Brian Melanson has come out and revealed some juicy, cryptic spoilers on his Thursday Night Drama 'The Path Not Taken'. "There'll be a pregnancy, two main characters are going to fall in love, and by the end of the season, you'll see someone have to say goodbye as they bite the dust," he revealed. Production seems to have already started, with the first episode going under a re-shoot, and its also been revealed that the first season will have Selena Gomez joining the cast -- and not to mention Alex O'Loughlin (moonlight)and Adair Tishler (Dollhouse & Heroes) joining the first season as recurring guest stars. Where Alex will be going from Vampire to Mr. Mom!

NEWS POSTED 17 DECEMBER, 2009.The ratings are in, and the official demographics for the VPN's 2009 Fall have arrived. Fabulous Cordy maintains first rank on the charts, keeping its outstanding 10mil average; as is the soulful vamp, Angel, managing to keep strong in his final season. With a .5 boost in the ratings, Faith the Vampire Slayer joins the others at the top, pulling in even more viewers from its season premiere. As for Connor, it was quite the opposite, facing a .5 drop in its viewers. Hopefully we'll see a huge improvement next week with Matthew James' Connor - and again, another shoutout; it airs Wednesday Nights on the VPN at 10/9c.

NEWS POSTED 14 DECEMBER, 2009. Its been a while since my last post, but I have returned with some very exciting news. The Network has informed me that Jack Malone and Matthew James have had a meeting, discussing the continuity of the Angel saga. When I caught them outside the studio, they had this to say. "There's been a problem on the Network with continuity issues," Jack began, "So what Matt and I wanted to do was make sure we could lessen this problem by somehow having the series finale of Angel kickstart Connor's storyline throughout his spin off." But with Eve being somewhat of a villain on the spin off, and her being killed off in the season premiere, how exactly will this perfectly match? "Right, because all jossverse characters that have died, stay dead," replied Matt, "Well Gwen and Connor will both be back on the sixth season of Angel, which is returning sometime in January, and what will happen in the finale with those characters, elevates them to where they are in the premiere of my show, Connor. Things that need to be explainined, will most likely happen on Connor, as I have more episodes, and more ways of going about it, whereas Jack is doing a wrap up season, and needs everything to go as planned." If this isn't great news, I don't know what is. "We're both excited about doing this," Jack expressed, "And we hope it brings in more viewers for both our shows."

Rumor has it, you will see this fantastic show either joining the drama night, or kickstarting a new night on the Virtual Productions Network - which could blossum into a new pickup season for raunchy, mature audiences.

NEWS POSTER 9 DECEMBER, 2009. Looks like Watchdogs may just add to the very packed 2010 fall schedule, next year. Forum Executives, Chris Davis and Jack Malone both expressed their opinions on the show, using terms like "refreshing, outstanding" and also "a great addition to the network." My guess is, you will be hearing more on its status by Monday next week.
