Hiya Amin! I am SOOOOOOO excited that you guys released the first episodes! I have briefly skimmed episode one, and I feel bad about that. But I have been SUPER busy with editing and such. I SWEAR, as a HUGE supporter that I will have a review up by Monday when I finish reading both episodes in their entirety. :3 <3333333 You super much!

Thanks for reviewing! Always means a lot. I think I can manage to answer some of these questions, even though I didn't write the first part, so here we go-- That's great to hear, because that's what this show will mainly consist of, or at least there will be a lot of it. I promise it definitely won't be them just riding around in their vehicles each episode. In most episodes we will be staying in one place throughout. Establishing a favorite character was rather difficult for me (Monica) because I had no connections with any of the characters thus far, but that doesn't mean that they were terrible in any fashion. What I did like about the characters is that they were all different in their own right. And I am sure in no time I will have more feel for them as they progress and go through hardships. And hardships there will be. -insert mysterious atmosphere- Seattle seems to have a different terrain style from the original Seattle. Is this is suppose to be an alternate Seattle? Because there seems to be a lot of open grass lands, which there aren't much of in Seattle, or Washington in general. Washington has a lot of mountains, forests and lakes. In fact, it has one of the largest mountain ranges in all of the United States, that can be seen from practically every point therein. But if this is an alternate world, then we suppose our argument is null void. XD Well, Carey and I both live outside of the US, so I'm afraid you'll have to pull through the maybe sometimes blatantly lacking geographical knowledge in our episodes. I hope it's still worth it. xD Our only beef with the first episode is that at the end of the teaser, at the part where Rick in cold blood kills a zombie, it seemed to be more designed off of an episode in Walking Dead, where one of their characters, their Rick, shot a zombie that was cut in half. Though he was more hurt by the fact, apologizing to the half of the zombie crawling towards him, this Rick shoots it and tells it he will see it in hell. Though both of them were powerful in their own right, setting up those characters respectively. It seems to be looked down upon when there are connections to movies or shows, at least in our experience with the Outcasts. But it doesn't seem to be noticed, so we suppose it's not that big of a deal. That was Michael doing that actually. Rick and his convoy weren't anywhere near the city at the time. We both agreed that Jason is our favorite character. It was high time for some crazy shit to go down under cover, and this kid brought all of that. We both foresee some amazingly disturbing action going on in the Convoy that is not zombie caused. Because though we LOVE zombies, they get boring if used as the chaotic factor throughout the entire story. Jason has already caused trouble that is going to really shake the friendly foundations that the convoy has developed. That makes me happy to hear! He may take his time, but crazy shit is no doubt bound to go down around Jason at some point. As for the part about zombies not being the main obstacle throughout the episodes... they won't be. The zombies may be around and cause big trouble now and then, but the humans, in all their different forms, are the focus of the series. We thought the beginning of the story was interesting, the death of that one dood Ty and his girlfriend Jill. It was high time for them to make an exit. And make way for Michael. Who really, despite Rick making sure isn't going to cause trouble, really is. We enjoyed his character, his speech was kind of spot on. Fits well for a crazy person in the making. We can feel it. That guy is gonna be an obstacle for sure.
You may be onto something. -Insert mysterious atmosphere again- Now, our only beef with this episode really, is it couldn't hurt to do some editing as there were a few mistakes that made some of the character's speech difficult to decipher. My bad. I usually don't do typos in my non-chat writing. Please excuse me while I go and kill myself a little for letting this happen... My question to the both of you, is honestly Rick. Is he going to remain a heartless jerk? Or actually care, because first he doesn't care about the zombies, even though Crystal says they were once people. Then he cares about Amelia's feelings on her attack. I am not sure how his character is coming about. But if he is the badass with a heart of gold I guess it makes total sense then. XD I hope we establish Rick some where in the middle in the episodes to follow, in which case I stand on the fence about him and being slightly cliche. I don't really think Rick is a heartless jerk. Yes, he ran over that zombie and he doesn't care about them but he definitely cares about his own people and Amelia is a pretty close person. And on the less care-y (no pun kind of intended) side of the story, Rick was also making sure Amelia wouldn't cause trouble to the rest of the convoy by acting out or something. We give this episode a 9.5/10. The characters got more action and developed further. Keeping the character's voices to their characters was perfect and the scenes with Jason were awesome.
GOOD JOB GUYS! :3 Thank you so much! Keeping character voices the same as they were in the first part was honestly my BIGGEST concern while writing this so it makes me incredibly happy to see that I did well. And Jason... well, you get where it's heading... hehehe. xD

Yeah, it is our mistake, due to the fact we live outside the USA. I'm definetly going to try to get the terrain for later episodes as close to possible to the real thing.

Right! I should have probably said something earlier, but due to some rewriting and rearranging of the first run episodes, this week's friday will feature no new episode. We are sorry for throwing this delay at you out of nowhere and hope to get things ready to resume as soon as possible. Thank you for following this series of ours!

^I don't know how to answer. You should be able to click and open the episode without downloading anything. Maybe you haven't got Adobe Reader installed? You need that to open PDF files.

"Sleepless in Seattle" Part Two | Review
The main element of this episode, to me, was the introduction of Jason, who could quite possibly be my favourite character, next to Martha, who also had a strong presence this episode, and quite a handful of great scenes too. On the other side of the episode, we had Rick, Crystal and Steve dealing with the human-kind of monsters, rather than the zombies, more specifically Ty. Something that I found interesting in this two-parter was that the show doesn't just deal with the supernatural element of zombies -- part one ended with a human threat. I kind of like how in this episode, the two worlds collide, and it sort of gives an even scarier edge to the zombies - no matter how evil, or bad Ty was, the 'living dead' are so much worse. I really hope as the season progresses, we get even more human threats to these characters to balance out (you know, if there are anymore survivors left, lol).
I'm so glad Ty got his ass handed to him. What a brilliant death scene.
As for Jason, I think he's a really interesting character that you've brought into the show. I'm looking forward to see how his role increases as the season goes on. I like that he's a lot wiser than the average kid, and I think to have such a young character be so intelligent is really appealing to the show. There's nothing worse than an annoying little brat of a kid that doesn't make you feel guilty when you're thinking: I hope the zombies eat the sh!t out of that child. There seems to be little hints of - you know - Jason being absolutely mental and crazy, which took me back a bit in that encounter he had with Tyler and Noah, but I think its intriguing. I think it'll be fun to tap into this new character, see whats in his head, and see how he deals with the others in this crew, and his interactions with them all. I'm really looking forward to all of that.
This episode had a lot of great moments. The opening scene where Martha recounts the times she's used a gun, and her little anecdotes were really fun to read. I really like this character. Also, I loved the scenes between Amelia and Rick towards the end of the episode. Amelia's encounter with a zombie was a pretty shocking reaction. I'm excited to see what this leads to in future encounters. I love that Amelia doesn't fully address the problem, and brushes it off. It sort of gives us something to look forward to. I hope to see this issue resurface, and I fully believe it will.
I don't know how I feel about the recruitment of Michael. I guess I'll see how that all plays out in future episodes. I guess he wasn't full on evil, like Ty, who says cocksucker so many times I'm pretty sure he was one. God, I hated that guy, lol.
Overall, this was a really great episode. In some aspects, I think it could have stood on its own, rather than being part of a two-episode kinda thing, but it works either way. The pacing was great, and the suspense and horror of it all was written to perfection. The characters are all fun to read. I have to admit, in the first part, it was hard to get behind all the characters, but I feel after two episodes its a little easier to follow them. This show has a lot of great potential, and this two-parter really set up a lot of great things I'd like to see pursued sometime in the season.
My favourite characters are definitely Martha, and Jason. I can also say that Rick felt a lot less of a dick/jerk than he was in the first part. I think his scenes with Amelia really helped show a side of him that was less ... of a prick, lol. IDK. I really enjoyed his character in this one. But Martha and Jason are definitely favourites. Oh, and I like that the relationship between Ryan and Taylor was addressed a little bit more, and the discussion between Martha/Ryan was nice. Honestly, this episode had a lot of great moments, and I really enjoyed it in every aspect possible.
10/10 ~ A fantastic conclusion to the two-parter, continues to set up a very promising season, and introduces/establishes characters insanely well.

Oh yes, that's the major theme of this show. Zombies are everywhere and they want to eat you... but the surviving humans pose just as much of a threat as them. Zombies eat people. People hurt people. So you will definitely be seeing more of those human threats in their different forms. Haha, glad you liked that. I wanted it to be very sudden; an out-of-the-blue game-changer for Michael. So I'm glad that scene was good. I'm so, so glad that you all seem to be enjoying Jason so much. xD He truly is a wild card and certainly a source-to-be of conflict within the group. Remember the girl on the bus, Amanda? Noah's little sister. Her character is heavily connected to Jason, so they'll be sharing a lot of screentime together, and considering he killed her brother... well, that should be interesting to explore. ;D Again, I am so, so glad that you like this character. I was worried that scene would be a bit too much, so I'm glad it worked well for you. I think it's pretty obvious at this point that Martha will be up to some seriously badass shit with that axe she spoke of. xD heheheh... Oh, you will definitely be seeing that pop up again, sooner or later. Here's a not-so-subtle clue: the tenth episode of the season is called "Amelia". Go figure. xD Michael is... well, like you said, you'll see in future episodes. xD heheheh... as to the other thing, I must say, killing Ty was quite satisfactory. He was a major assbutt. Oh my god... hearing you praise my writing like that, especially that thing about horror and suspense... that's the best thing I could ever hear. ;D Once again, it makes me so happy that Martha and Jason are your favorite characters. I do enjoy writing them a lot. I'm just really, really glad that you enjoyed the episode so much. I never would have expected that. Oh damn... a 10/10. I hope the episodes to come will be as enjoyable as these first two were. Thanks for reading and reviewing! It's much appreciated.

READ (if you want)
Hello, good people of VPN! I have some sad (maybe) news. After a long time of no movement on Land of the Living Dead from either me or Carey.... we've concluded that we, honestly, have both lost the spark for this show. We're moving on with other projects and this one sort of just sits here, dead.
And that's a good way to sum it up. Land of the Living dead has lost its "living" part. Now it's just a land of the dead and we can't deny it anymore.
We are glad for the reviews we got for the first two (and now only) episodes we aired and are very grateful for the people here who looked forward to and were fans of our show.
The show is hereby cancelled.
Valar Morghulis (hey, why not?)

Aww, that really sucks to hear. I'm glad that you haven't strung us along, though, and kept the fate of the show up in the air while you turned to work on other projects. I understand losing the spark in your series, and I've been through quite a few projects before finding one I'm most passionate about, so I'm looking forward to what both you and Carey produce in the future.
I really enjoyed the two-parter opening to the series, and would have loved to see more. You're both fantastic writers! Good luck for the future! Hope to see something from both of you soon. XD

It's really unfortunate that you and Carey lost that initial spark you two had in the show, but I'm really glad you decide to let go of the project, rather than string it out for too long. Now, I'm really looking forward to see the new projects the both of you decide to develop
