This sounds really good. Though, I'm not a fan of the title. The movies seem to focus on all three of them, and yet it is entitled "Story of A Hero". I think the title should somehow reference all three of them.

Yeah, the title isn't one of my best but it's all I've got at the moment. I'll probably change it later down the track but I haven't had much luck coming up with anything better. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them

I like the idea but the story reminds a lot of a recent movie I saw called "Kick-Ass" it's about a high school kid who's read one to many comic books and decides to become a super hero. Though he at first has trouble he soon discovers he's not alone. He and the other hero's decide to take down the biggest marfia cartel down, along the way we watch as a hero rises and one slowly becomes a villian. The stories seem very similar, only drawn out and with a girl added into the mix.

I have seen Kick-Ass (it was a fantastic movie!) and I know there are similarities to not only that movie but a number of other superhero movies that have come out recently. The rough description that I've given for the moment is very general and I'm hoping that when I delve a little deeper into the storyline the differences will become more apparent. Kick-Ass dealt very much with one reality of being a hero, that people get hurt. It was also a very action oriented movie. What I'm hoping to do is take a different approach, one that deals more with the emotional aspects and the deep connections between the three main characters. The relationship the three main characters shared before they parted ways is crucial to the story as it means every action they make either to help or hurt each other suddenly holds a lot more weight. I understand what you're saying about the similarities, I saw them myself when writing the description and a friend of mine pointed out almost the exact same things as you did when she read it But as I explained I'm trying to take a different approach to the whole 'superhero' movie but I'll keep what you said in mind and try to steer away from making it appear too similar

I think this is a great pitch. I agree on the title, but mainly because of the similarity to "Story of a Girl" so totally biased there. If you can't find another, I think it still suits, primarily to "THE HERO". Based on the similarities to "Kick-ass", I'm not sure I see them as much as Matthew is pointing them out. But with every superhero movie and television show there are similarities, because everything has been done before. And what television show or movie hasn't already been done? I think its nice having such a small cast -- focus on what is important, and go from there. At the moment, I want to see you carry this first show "Edge of Vision" before I consider whether or not to pick it up -- even with the pilot. But, you seem to be focussing on your first show so that seems all good. Overall, I think its a fantastic, solid pitch - great characters and great premise. The pilot should be good

And silly me, I thought I was in the "Virtual Pitches" thread. Please regard any comments on this being a "Show" or a "Television series" and subsitute with "Movie". *embarrassed* lmfao

Haha, no problem Jack XD I did actually consider this as a virtual series at first but after thinking about it I felt a movie format would suit the story better. It's going to be much better told in larger instalments than in the smaller instalments of a virtual series. And don't worry, Edge of Vision take priority over this. I wouldn't even think of starting on a script for this until I have Edge of Vision's entire first season finished

Hey MJ, I thought I would start reviewing movie pitches and noticed that your pitch is missing... does that mean this thread is officially closed, or are you revising this pitch??

I'd call it officially closed. I still have all the notes and stuff for this jotted down somewhere in my room/on my computer so I may revise it one day but for the time being I'm not pursuing it
