Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor
The Eleventh Doctor was the eleventh incarnation of the renegade Time Lord known as the Doctor. Although he was very alien compared to his previous incarnation, he retained his vigour for defending the Universe. During the course of his adventures, he thwarted the numerous attempts on his life by the Silence to prevent him from answering the Question; succeeding in leading them to believe he was dead at the cost of River Song being falsely imprisoned.

David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor
The Tenth Doctor was the tenth incarnation of the renegade Time Lord known as the Doctor. Unlike his immediate predecessor, who was plagued by melancholy due to his actions during the Last Great Time War, this incarnation was outgoing and genial, a demeanour that hid the "survivor's guilt" that had plagued him since the war. Late in his life, however, the weight became much more pronounced.
Unlike many of his predecessors, he tried to have a romantic relationship at least twice; he loved Rose Tyler as himself, and Joan Redfern as John Smith. He was haunted by companions lost, enemies believed long-dead and events that threatened to destroy time itself. He met his end after he absorbed a huge quantity of nuclear radiation whilst saving the life of his friend, Wilfred Mott, leading to his regeneration into his next incarnation.

Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor
The Eighth Doctor was the eighth incarnation of the Time Lord known as the Doctor. He showed a love and respect for all life.
His own life was a temporally complex one, which so frequently involved time paradoxes and parallel universes that it was impossible to know with authority how the major epochs of his existence fitted together. Complicating the matter even further was his involvement in the Last Great Time War

Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor
The Fifth Doctor was the fifth incarnation of the Time Lord known as the Doctor. He looked younger than his predecessors and expressed a new, more human aspect of his alien nature.
He began with three companions: Adric, Nyssa and Tegan Jovanka. All had joined the TARDIS crew near the end of his fourth incarnation.
His relationship with Adric grew rocky over their lack of common interests. After the Cybermen's attack on Earth in the 26th century, the Doctor felt guilty over Adric's death and his inability to save his friend.
Peri Brown joined the Doctor for a "vacation", but the arrangement became more permanent. They were joined by the Egyptian pharaoh Erimem for a while.
Soon after Erimem had left, the Doctor and Peri were exposed to unrefined spectrox on Androzani Minor and contracted spectrox toxaemia. The Doctor gave their single dose of vaccine to Peri and regenerated into his sixth incarnation.

Ramin Karmloo as the Thirteenth Doctor
Little is known about the final incarnation of the Doctor, except that he is darker than previous versions and will do almost anything to stay alive.

Alex Kingston as River Song
Melody "Mels" Pond, later River Song, was a "child of the TARDIS" and the Doctor's wife. She was human with Time Lord DNA, conceived by her parents, Amy Pond and Rory Williams, onboard the Eleventh Doctor's TARDIS as it travelled through the Time Vortex. This gave her the potential for great strength, regeneration, the ability to pilot the TARDIS and understand complex principles of time and space.
She loved the Doctor with her whole heart, and indicated that she shared a wonderful and long-lasting relationship with him. River was one of the very few people who knew the Doctor's true name.
