NEWS POSTED 7 MARCH, 2010. Scoop: This Just In: The 'Story' Will Be Told! Sources have exclusively confirmed that the VPN has bought a 21 episode season for the previously departed Story of a Girl, offering more episodes than before. Series creator, Jack Malone, had approached the network informing them that it he wants to get this show up and running, no matter what. Unfortunately, the school issues still apply, therefore it may be right to assume the show will have possibly 2-4 breaks durings its run, for the first year. "There's no use throwing away a good story when you have one, just because things get in the way of you telling it," he began, "I really like the characters, like the arcs, and at the moment, its looking like, once Faith finishes its second season, I can really delve into Watchtower & Story of a Girl how I wanted to." When asked about his other shows, he had this to say: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer is still happening, but it may not start until the third season of Faith starts, which is set for towards the last few months of the year. And Angel has been put on an ongoing hiatus, until Faith finishes, so they will be done." The series stars Kristin Bell, Allison Mack, Matt Lanter, Annalynne McCord, Summer Glau, Bret Harrison, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumni Kristine Sutherland. Welcome back to the VPN, and I wish you all the success in the future!

NEWS POSTED 7 MARCH, 2010.Scoop: Network Explores New GenreIt appears the Virtual Productions Network may be losing another show, aside from Matthew James' Connor, and has decided to branch out into a new genre of Science Fiction. Its been revealed that Brian Melanson's (creator of The Path Not Taken) show 'The Protectors' has been picked up by the network, opening its new genre on Wednesday Nights. With news of Angel being on hiatus, we're only to assume the bad news involves Fabulous Cordy, but more on that later! "I was so surprised when I heard," the actress exclaimed, "We had only just started shooting the pilot when we got the call from the producers. It all happened so fast." Originally, the actress told us, that the VPN was reluctant to pick up the show as they were struggling to find room for it. But, luckily enough, with this new night, the Protectors will be joining the schedule, and start off its first season sometime this year. The show will be a thirteen episode science fiction series, meaning, each season will have a limit of thirteen episodes only, as the network strives to make sure the show doesn't drag on with fillers, alike most sci-fi's do. In other news, I can officially confirm the rumors to be true. The network has approached Matthew James on starting a new show here on the VPN, no pitching required, as they negotiate with him some thoughts on another Science Fiction adventure! Reports claim that the writer is currently considering taking them up on the offer, but needs to time to fully address if he will, or will not.

NEWS POSTED 9 MARCH, 2010.Scoop: 'Story' of a Love InterestSeveral new emails have been hitting me lately with questions I thought I could answer in my scoops. So, the question I'll be answering today was 'In Story of a Girl, there are bound to be love triangles, complications, and other dramatic twists and turns in the love department for the characters, but what is the main one to look out for? What is the main relationship of the first season?'Well, luckily, I have the answer right here. It appears that, yes, a love triangle is in the mix this season, like most dramas, but the iconic relationship that will thread its way throughout the first season will be the Sam/Josh one! Its been exlcusively confirmed by actress Kristen Bell, who reveals some great upcoming storylines to come! "There's sort of an attraction between the two [Sam & Josh] when the series begins," the actress began, "And seeing as Josh is in a very unhealthy relationship with Rachel, he soon finds himself wanting to spend more time with Sam. Wanting to be around her more." Kristen Bell went on to say that the two of them together won't happen until towards the end, when the season begins to wrap up, but in the meantime, nothing is rushed, and the relationship clearly slips into place in the best way possible. "In a weird way, you know they're bound to get together. But its not always about that, its about the journey. The steps taken that lead the two together," she continued, "Once they realize they're the most important thing in each other's lives, it only seems right to delve into that 'something more' that they always wanted from the start."

NEWS POSTED 9 MARCH, 2010Scoop: 'Watch' out for Old Faces!Another question was sent to me from an obvious die hard fan of Smallville who stumbled across Watchtower when it first was pitched. There initial question was 'Seeing as this is a spin off of Smallville, is there any chance for Chloe or Oliver to run into Clark at all this season? Any chance for us Chlark-ers to get some some solace for whats been happening in season nine?'It has been exclusively confirmed that the producers will be mentioning Clark, and the past within the first few episodes of the season, but unfortunately, he is not set to appear. However, some breaking news some may enjoy is that Lois Lane, played by the fantastic actress Erica Durance, may be popping up for a minor arc in the show's second season. As for her story, it is unknown, but the producers are really excited about getting her involved. "Lois is Chloe's cousin," the reminded, "No matter what mythos she comes from, no matter what her background with Superman is, she's also a huge part in Chloe's life." The producers went on to say that having Lois there, in any episode or season will be necessary. They have got a story planned for her to come in, and only want her to show up once throughout the series run. "We don't want Lois showing up to be the start of many times, we only plan to pull it off once," the reveal, "Thats not to say she won't be mentioned, but having her on for even just one episode is a lot to ask of the network." On the Chlark-esque stuff, its been revealed that the producers really needed to steer her clear of Clark, and as she's moved on, Clark thinking she's passed away, really cuts her out of the mythology -- which is why Chloe hasn't been in the comics. So its really a matter of keeping her as far away from Superman as possible, which could lead to another risk of bringing Lois in.

Jolie had this to say about her replacement, "I've just been so busy with upcoming films, I thought it would be best to let a few projects go. Sadly, Gifted was one of them. I'm going to miss working with Chris and the cast, It's truly been great working with you guys and I'm thankful for the experience!" As for her replacement, Baccarin expresses her thanks to Gifted's casting directors for choosing her over the many talented actresses that auditioned for the role and looks forward to diving into her new role.

News Posted: April 24th 2010Scoop: The Path Is On the Move!Big news for the Path today! As the show gets back onto track, Brian has reveled to the VPN that his show has moved away from Miami. Now people are confused Why move away from the city? And Brian had this to say about the big move. "The Path has just had a huge change as they go to the small town of Celebration, Florida, Just miles away from Walt Disney World. I feel that this show fits to have a small town and it gives us the freedom to create our own areas and even use some places that exist already!" Brian has already started shooting there and has re-shot the first two episodes to accommodate the changes. Miami will be used in the future for one episode and such. The Path Not Taken airs July 15th and is going to be more amazing! Welcome to your new home!

NEWS POSTED APRIL 26, 2010. Scoop: 'Eyes Only' on 'Watchtower'! This May, Chloe Sullivan makes her transition into her very own virtual series, taking place after the hit CW Series 'Smallville'. With only a few more weeks left before its premiere, we've been bombarded with questions that now we'll be taking the time to answer! Are you ready for this 'Eyes Only' scoop on Watchtower? Question: I've always loved Chloe when she was at the Daily Planet! Now she's at Gotham Daily do we get our classic reporter gal back? Great Question! My very reliable source tells me that you'll be seeing Chloe crack down on a big story in the series premiere, this may 24th! Not only that, but "we've just finished cracking down a story in the second half of the season which really digs into Chloe's journalistic roots." Question: I'm a huge Chlollie fan but I've always loved reading fanfiction on the idea of Chloe and Bruce Wayne. Can we expect any Chruce, even just a slight touch of it? "With all good superhero shows there's got to be angst," reveals executive producer Chris Davis, "and Watchtower will have its very own between Chloe, Oliver and Bruce that will stir up some trouble." So look like you'll not only get some Chruce, but a whole triangle seems to be forming between the three. Intrigued, you should be! Question: Ack, I am so sick of seeing Chloe resort to running away from the big bad of the episode on Smallville. Please tell me Oliver teaches her a few moves! Please!Having a sneak peek at the premiere myself I can tell you that Chloe will not only be behind the computer, but out in the field getting down and dirty like all heroes should be. "Chloe's spent years in a town where she was constantly put in danger, and has picked up on a few moves along the way," Jack [Malone] reveals, "however, she's nowhere near trained or ready to take on a threat by herself, but we hope to explore that as the series goes on." Question: Is Emil really evil? He was so funny on Smallville, and I have a bit of crush on the guy. "Emil has a different view on the world," executive producers Chris Davis and Jack Malone told VPtoday, "and although the season begins exploring his darker roots, as the smoke slowly clears between Chloe and her arch nemesis, we'll begin to see that he's not as bad as we thought." They continued by informing me that he's not planning to destroy the entire planet, but he wants to change the world for the better; however we all know those never go as planned. "He may be viewed as a tragic hero, or a tragic villain, either way he's trying to leave his legacy on the world as many scientists have, only with Chloe in the way he has to resort to some villainous actions." Question: Can you confirm the DC Comic villain showing up in the fourth episode, still untitled. I can. The episode is called "Deadshot" and the villain is of the same name -- should look him up. He'll be played by Terry O'Quinn from ABC's Lost. Question: Will Mia take up the identity of Speedy? "Mia has a long journey ahead of her," creator Jack Malone revealed, "and this first season really dives deep into her story and origins as best as possible." Questioned on the suit and title, they were very quiet, pulling an 'anything's possible' quote on us. Be sure to expect more spoilers on Mia and her persona 'Speedy' as the season goes on, and hopefully we'll get some good news. Question: In Season Seven of Smallville, Chloe had meteor powers, that of a healer. Will those powers resurface? Thanks for asking! Wonderful question! "So far, we're leaving that to the Smallville producers," executived producers Chris Davis and Jack Malone revealed, "but given the right story we might delve into that again, just don't know how exactly to mould that into this season." In other news, I've been given a confirmation that a series regular will fall victim to Emil's experiments, becoming a metahuman with powers. Who? I can't say, so you'll just have to wait and see. Which brings us to our final question... Question: Not to rush you guys or anything, but we've been dying to see him on Smallville, and with news of him being on Watchtower, I have to ask -- will we see Batman this season! "Unfortunately, no," producers revealed, "but you will see Bruce hitting several milestones leading him to becoming the Caped Crusader." Another reliable source told me they have it on good authority that the mid season finale will contain many cliffhangers, one of which involves Bruce that will tie the character closer to the mythology, and prepare him further to becoming Batman. So thats it for this month's Q&A. Next month we'll be exploring 'Trinity' and the questions flooding in on that fantastic show!

NEWS POSTED MARCH 4, 2010. Exclusive: 'Michael McKean' & 'Watchtower'Earlier tonight I was lucky enough to run into the marvellous actor, Michael McKean, who was enjoying a good night out with his beautiful wife Annette O'Toole (the wonderful Martha Kent). Catching up after their meal, which by the way looked delecious, he was up to answering a few questions! "Perry White is a very complex character," he begun, when questioned about the character he portrays, "in the eyes of Chloe, he's a role model, someone to look up to. But when he looks back at her, she's him; someone whose career was rising to the top, then dropped immensely, throwing her back to the bottom of the barrel." McKean went on to say that being a character not in on the 'Watchtower secret', he hasn't had much involvement with the project as the heroes of the show have, but, and I quote, "Perry is always developing, especially in the first few episodes. And having heard several upcoming storylines for the man, things are going to get very interesting in his rather, ordinary life." But what about the heroes, as he mentioned before? "Oh, I'm still involved in that aspect!" he revealed, "my last scene I had to shoot I was being chased down by an assassin and was saved by the Huntress!" If you aren't hooked yet, a deadly assassin chasing down Gotham Daily's editor in chief has got do it! "Originally, I believe the producers intended on having Perry in the first season, to warm Chloe up to the reporter side of her life again, but a few days ago, I had a meeting with the creators and signed on for another year," the actor revealed, "whether or not I'll be back for sure, you never know on sci-fi shows, I'll be there if they need me!" Did this decision have anything to do with the major upcoming storyline as McKean mentioned before. "You'll have to wait and see..."

NEWS POSTED MAY 26, 2010. Scoop: 'The Emerald Archer' Justin Hartley! Justin Hartley, actor on the VPN's most acclaimed series Watchtower, was wonderful enough to talk about this extraordinary new series, in which he plays DC Comics Character Oliver Queen (The Green Arrow), and several arcs that will be running throughout the first half. "I'm really excited to carry out this character's story in a way that doesn't have to be put to the side to limelight Superman," Hartley told VPtoday, "and with him being a central character of the show, its been fun exploring the new stories told with Oliver Queen." The actor went on to say that he's loving the feedback from the premiere and can't wait for the fans to really see the show unravel itself, and lead into the mid-season finale. "There's a lot planned in this first half. The key points it hits on is relationships, and what kind of relationships Chloe shares with each character; and how they develop and build up so that by the time the war between them and Emil starts, everyone has been established to have some sort of relationship with Chloe Sullivan," he revealed. Asking him about the juicy tidbit that was revealed yesterday by series creator Jack Malone, Hartley told VPtoday that in the fourth episode, and I quote, "the Chlollie relationship really hits its high point!" And how does he view this iconic relationship? "I think Chloe really grounds him, and sets him straight," he answered, "we all know Oliver to be a playboy, and the majority of the time he puts his identity as Green Arrow ahead of everything else, which is what ruined his relationship with Lois back on Smallville. But this time, Chloe and Oliver can really connect and they understand each other," he continued. "Each and every script we've been receiving has made me love the two as a couple more and more, and from what I've been told by the producers, there's a lot more between the two on its way that even carries out in the second half of the season!" So, what's your thoughts on the Chlollie relationship? Do you think Chloe's a keeper for our favourite bachelour playboy? Head on over to the Spoilers & Speculation thread of 'Watchtower' and discuss the news!

NEWS POSTED 29 MAY, 2010. Scoop: Checkmate, Deadshot, Plus More! "It was so fun getting to kick some ass..." Spoilers for the upcoming episode "Deadshot" ( the episode that introduces a new DC Comics Character into the universe) have been hitting the web like crazy. And the most talked about concept of the episode that has the fans going wild is Chloe Sullivan as the new Green Arrow! "Well she's not the new Green Arrow," actress Allison Mack laughed, "she's just stepping out into the field a bit more in this episode, and taking on the big bad herself - without the use of computers!" Mack went on to say that the episode was a blast to do, and she really had fun working with ABC's Lost star Terry O'Quinn. "He was fantastic! Such an inspiration, and he really sunk his teeth into the character." "I like to say the episode tells three different stories. The first involves Chloe and Oliver, which constantly develops softly throughout the course of the episode, but being the main point of Chloe's actions," Mack explained, "the second story, of course, involves Deadshot - Floyd Lawton. His background is shared to the audience, lightly, without saying too much to detract from the story at hand, which with him, involves mainly Chloe and Emil." "The final story that runs through this episode is the amazing Perry and Mia duo, that I loved so much when reading," she continued, "it involves Checkmate, blackmail, kidnapping, so much going on there. And I know Michael was fun to really show a more macho side to his character!"

NEWS POSTED JUNE 7, 2010. Scoop: Have we lost 'Faith'? Its Jossverse Week everybody! You're probably wondering what happened to all the Jossverse shows this fall, well finally I have some answers; some exciting news, some great news, and some bad news. Lets start with the network's very first Jossverse series: Faith the Vampire Slayer!"Its been a real struggle getting back onto the project," Malone claimed, "the episode guide has been staring at me for months now but I just can't seem to get an episode done." Our we about to lose our Faith here? After just two seasons of the series? Creator Jack Malone told us not to worry! "I have a huge third season planned and I'm not going to throw that away." In fact, the Network has come to the decision to cut back a few episodes to see that the second season can end this year with the third starting sooner rather than later. "I believe there will now be about 15 episodes, possibly 16, but we've decided to cut the season short." Malone concluded with saying he'll be changing it up a bit for the final few episodes, and on the subject of Oz's return (which was hyped throughout the whole season after he departed the show), he said, and I quote, "we'll bring him back first episode in the season's return." So that's it for Faith the Vampire Slayer, everybody. We haven't lost our bad ass biatch yet!
