NEWS POSTED JUNE 7, 2010. Exclusive: Not So 'Fabulous' NewsOn the Angel side of things for Jossverse Week here on the VPN, the Network has informed me that the status of 'Fabulous' Cordy isn't that great. However, we have it on good authority the show will not be prematurely canceled, and series creator Nicole Rodriguez is working with the network to continue the show. "Don't give up on Cordy yet," Chief Executive Chris Davis informed us, "we're all hoping to see the highest rated show on the network return, and will do our best to see it happen."Speaking of making things happen, unfortunately Angel's final season will not. ...but its not gone yet. "The network has decided to bring Jack Malone back to succesfully wrap Angel's story up in a three part mini series, coming next fall," Davis continued, "being a fan of the work he's done so far on the series, I'm glad to say that VPN will officially finish Angel for the fans of the show, and we're all excited to see what Jack pulls off for us in the three part conclusion."

NEWS POSTED JULY 22, 2010. Just In: Network farewells 'Faith' & 'Destined'This just in, the Virtual Productions Network has to say goodbye to its very first shows, Faith, and the once-titled-gifted-series Destined. The creators of the show have decided to cut the shows from the air, and informed the network, and myself, of this sad news. "There are a lot of other projects on my mind," Chris Davis told VPtoday at the press release, "and when it came around to Destined, a new take on my Gifted series, I had to make the decision of putting it behind me. At least for now." Chris Davis had made statements that he doesn't intend to forget and move on that easy, in fact, Trinity creator confessed to wanting to tackle it sometime in the future. And what about Faith? Series creator, Jack Malone, told VPtoday at the press release that, and I quote, "production had been stalled for so many months, and outside parties that were responsible for moving the show along while I tackled my other projects weren't coming through for me." Jack Malone went on to say that he will be including Faith in his Buffy the Vampire Slayer continuation, in which he claimed he will not put behind him. "I hope to bring the the show's characters in, as often as possible, but what I do know is that Faith will definately be apart of Buffy's story." Both shows will not be placed into the cancelled section, but will be completely removed from the network, in hopes that both will return in some form in the future. A website is being made where if you wish to read all the episodes of Faith the Vampire Slayer, you can.

NEWS POSTED SEPTEMBER 18, 2010.Update: "APOCALYPSE" IS ONLY THE BEGINNINGJUST IN: New information concerning the Watchtower/Trinity Crossover movie event has been released. "Apocalypse: A Future Worth Fighting For", the crossover movie between theVPN's sister shows "Watchtower" and "Trinity" will act as the finale of both series' first seasons.
The movie will be set in a "not so distant" future in the Watchtower/Trinity universe, where the character of both shows are almost entirely different! Making for a more fresh and original way of looking at both shows. While the overall film will be based off of future events, producers confirm that we will get to see loads of present day Chloe and Lana in the mix, more importantly, they will be together for the first time in years!
The finale is set to premiere in Mid-Late November of 2010. |

THE PATH NOT TAKENReturning to complete its first season, Brian Melanson promises some new twists and turns, including a love interest for Jenny. Exclusive: Ask the Producers! Welcome to VSGuide's exclusive 'Ask the Producers' piece, where we answer your questions to the producers, and scoop your favourite shows on the VPN. After approaching the writers and producers, here's the latest news and upcoming episode spoilers on your favourite shows. Jenny has been through a lot since the start of the Path. When can we expect some of her pain to ease? From being hit by a car, to facing the ghosts of her past, this is only the beginning for Jenny, but is there a light at the end of the tunnel for this young woman? Executive Producer, and creator, Brian Melanson tells VSGuide: "You'll see a lighter side to Jenny in the back half of the season, especially when she finally finds love." Well, some say laughter is the best medicine, but maybe a little romance is even better. Dying for some news on The Path. What have you got? Jenny's past continues to her haunt her when Brad shows up again in the second half of the season. And producers promise a very climactic confrontation between Jenny and Brad that has a surprising twist. "You'll never expect how it all goes down." I'm a huge fan of good girl/bad boy relationships and Edge of Vision looks like a good candidate for having one between Tori and Vincent. Can we expect something between those two? Series Creator, MJ tells VSGuide the cards are on the table, but whether they are dealt, is the question. "I can't say the thought hasn't crossed my mind," she teases. "There is a lot more to their cat and mouse relationship than meets the eye, and whether something blossums out of that or not, you'll have to wait and see." So excited that Trinity was renewed! What can we expect in its second season on the VPN? Two words for you: Lex. Luthor. I can't believe they left us hanging like that! Are Lana and Quentin really a couple now or will they take it all away from us when the next season starts up? Lana and Quentin (Quana) are definately together. Producers of the Monday Night action series tells VSGuide that their relationship will be studied closer next season, and we couldn't be more excited! "They've been friends for a long time, so the adjustment period may be a bit hard for them, but their attraction to one another is stronger than anything they've felt in a really long time." However, I'm hearing that Quentin's past may become quite an obstacle for the couple to overcome. "Quentin has a lot of demons to deal with, and it can get in the way of his relationship with Lana." Is it true that someone on Watchtower is going to die in the first seven episodes of season two? Yes. However, I'm told there's a bit of a twist to the upcoming death on Watchtower. Here's your first clue: They're a series regular, and their first name is ******. I'm so glad that Eliza Dushku joined the cast as Selina Kyle this season, but I hope that means we get to see Catwoman. It would sort of suck if we didn't. Eliza Dushku playing a fiesty reporter with a dark past isn't good enough? Obviously not, because the producers of the VPN's hit show 'Watchtower' told VSGuide earlier today that you'll definately see Catwoman this season. "There are a lot of versions of the character and her persona, so we've taken what is out there and made our own version of her origin," they explain, "but its important Selina, as a character, is developed prior to introducing this other side of her." The producers conclude in telling us that Selina's origins unwravel in the first run of episodes, before you'll see her don the catsuit. "It'll be worth the wait." When is the Protectors going to air? For the VPN's first Sci-Fi show, I'm excited to tune in! Series Creator, Brian Melanson, has recently revealed that they're looking for a May release. "We'll be airing the first five episodes before the show goes on hiatus." He also reveals to look for a major death before the show wraps its first season. "A lot goes down on the Protectors and I'm excited for it to start up this year." [Note: The VSGuide Site will take longer to kickstart than we thought, until then, all articles can be found here, in the VPtoday section.]

NEWS POSTED MARCH 13, 2011SCOOP: Fallen Angels crash land to theVPN!Earlier this evening, VPToday received the word from vice executive, Jack Malone, that "Archangel", a supernatural horror series following the epic war between Angels and Demons from the underworld, has just been picked up! Young showrunner, Jason T. Davis, was shocked after hearing the news. This is what he had to say, "I just can't believe it. I've been working on this project for so long and it's finally gotten the green light...it feels so unreal. A thanks goes out to the network for giving me this opportunity." The series follows the journey of two archangels, sent by The Creator, to purge the Earth of demonic beings who have recently taken over the planet. The star studded cast includes, Andy Whitfield (Gabriel, Spartacus: Blood & Sand), and Rhona Mitra (Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, The Gates), who play the archangels, Michael and Gabriel. To learn more about the series, visit the "ARCHANGEL" board, for upcoming speculation.

Exclusive: 'Ask the Producers' Round Two! Our fantastic, 'Ask the Producers' piece is back for an all new round of questions and answers, satisfying the needs of those readers out there that are dying to know what's about to happen on their upcoming favourite shows. Lets begin, shall we? I'm so excited that Lex Luthor will return to Trinity this season! His reveal in the season finale was epic! How many episodes might we see him back for? While I've been told that Michael Rosenbaum has been contracted for a multi-episode arc, the producers tell VSGuide that you may see him around for at least 6 episodes, peppered throughout the entire season. "He plays a huge role this season, and he's definitely got a lot of stuff up his sleeve. I think fans will enjoy what we've got in store for Lex Luthor's return." Does Rachel know Lana's identity on "Trinity" or is it something that she'll have to uncover as the season progresses? That's a good question! "There's an episode in the first run of the season that tackles that," executive producer and creator Chris Davis told VSGuide, "Rachel is caught in the middle of this tragic situation that Lana has to try and save her from without revealing who she truly is. Its a really great episode, and its really fun to see how Lana pulls it all off." As for whether Rachel will eventually find out, and possibly, vice versa? "Stay tuned." Finally! I've been waiting for a Marvel show to hit theVPN! Can you tell me what other characters we'll see in the Outcasts first season? Pleeeeaasssee! Well, seeing as you asked so nicely ... Producers have confirmed that Bryce Dallas Howard has landed the role of "Gwen Stacy" for an upcoming episode of the Outcasts. "Gwen will be introduced ... somewhere along the way in our first season," series creator Aimee Nicole told VSGuide, reluctant to tell us exactly when the character will be making her debut on the show. "I can say that she's the school news reporter and one of Melanie's classmates." What can we look forward to in the first half of the Outcasts? Producers tell VSGuide that an "iconic villain" will be introduced during the mid-season finale, "Legacy." Any guesses? I hear the Protectors is airing soon! Any good beans to spill? "We're currently shooting the fifth episode of the season, and its a big one," Brian Melanson - series creator - tells VSGuide. "The Protectors travel back in time to the year 2080, and it all ties into playing a key role in protecting and saving Earth." Oh, and if that's not all, Melanson tells us that in an upcoming episode titled "Vixens," the Protectors have to get a little ... "sexy." Excited? I sure am! I'm really worried about the big death on Watchtower. Can you narrow it down for us? An inside source tells VSGuide that its more than likely Selina Kyle who will be taking a dirt nap in the first run of episodes. "The big death takes place in the season's seventh episode, right before it goes on its hiatus," the source tells us, "And the following episode looks like its about the birth of Catwoman, so, put one and two together and ..." When approaching the producers, they were reluctant to answer: "I think you'll all be surprised." From what we know, the only characters in risk of dying are: Oliver, Helena, and Selina - thanks to our asterix game last round! Please tell me that the producers aren't forgetting about Oliver wanting to propose to Chloe last season. Apparently they're taking a step forward in "Knight" but I haven't heard about the engagement since last year. Please give me some good news!Which do you want first, the good news or the bad news? Well, the good news is, Producers tell me that the step forward really solidifies their relationship and brings them closer together. The bad news? Its not an engagement. "You will see that addressed, a lot, in the first half of the season. Although Oliver is ready, there's a few obstacles to overcome before he can pop the question, and its going to take some time." But don't fret: "We're going to keep you on the edge of your seat for a while before anything happens." Did they just confirm that Oliver will propose? I'm really excited about the season finale of the Path Not Taken. Can you scoop me anything? Brian Melanson - series creator of the Path Not Taken - tells VSGuide: "The season will definitely end with a bang, and the dynamic of Jenny's relationship with Henry will change." We've also been told that as the season progresses towards its conclusion, Jenny will mature and have a revelation that solidifies her identity as a strong, adult woman. "She's going to come around after a season long struggle. Its been a hard journey for her, but redeeming her not-so-beautiful qualities is on the horizon, and I think fans will enjoy the result." Check back later this week for news on upcoming VPN shows 'Archangel,' 'Edge of Vision' and returning drama series 'Winchester.'

NEWS POSTED NOVEMBER 7, 2011Confirmed: VPN Orders 2 New Series' for 2012!theVPN has announced the pickup of two new series' for the 2012 Fall Lineup. Pickups for the 2012 lineup are not complete, meaning more shows may or may not get the green light before next season. Genre: Horror Created by: Amin Caluk and Carey Broadbent Premise: Nine months ago, a terrible plague of unknown origin swept our planet, effectively and quickly breaking down society as we know it and turning its victims into mindless flesh-eaters, more commonly known as ‘Zombies’. Now, nine months later, the cities belong to the dead and the only safe place for the few remaining survivors to be is the road. Some survivors travel alone, others pack together and form convoys; smaller communities on wheels. One such Convoy travels the abandoned roads of The United States, picking up everything they can find along the roadside on a seemingly destinationless journey to find some kind of safety. But how long can they really go without breaking, either emotionally or physically? And how long can one remain a civilized person in a world where all the rules have been thrown out the window? "Land of the Living Dead" is a horror series, co-written by Amin Caluk and Carey Broadbent. The series follows a group of diverse characters, as they attempt to survive the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. With an ensemble cast, and a bloodcurdling style, "Land of the Living Dead" is a sure-fire hit for the network's 2012 lineup!
Genre: Action/Drama Created by: Maddie Funderburg Premise: With the financial help of Anthony Stark (Matthew Bomer) The Avengers set up home in the middle of New York City as their place of operations at the Avengers Tower and a residence at the Avengers Mansion in Manhattan. Originally, the Avengers consisted of the ever intelligent Henry Pym (Michael Shanks,) his partner in crime Jonathan Van Dyne (James Marsden,) the Asgardian Thor (Chris Hensworth), and the hot tempered Bryce Banner (Mary McCormack.) As the group fought more and more as a team rather than an individual their bond became stronger. Like any family they fight as one, and this family is one to be reckoned with, even though they are at each others throats more often than not, you mess with one you mess with all. "Age of Heroes" is a spinoff of VPN Marvel series, "The Outcasts," and follows the superhero teams of; the Avengers and Fantastic Five. The series brings an alternative look at the Marvel universe, as well as creates a compare/contrast relationship for both "The Outcasts," and "Age of Heroes."
More pickup details and information about scheduling is coming soon.

Confirmed: theVPN Greenlights " The Path" Season 2! After the first season concluded with a set of mixed reviews, theVPN has just ordered another 12-13 episode round of the young adult drama, "The Path Not Taken," from Brian Melanson, for Fall 2012. The Path Not Taken held an average rating of 6.5 for its first year, and after an advanced screening of season two's premiere episode, the Pick-up committee has decided to give producers the go ahead to resume production of season two. VPN's vice executive, Jack Malone, had this to say about the script, "Whilst I had many problems with the first season, its a new year, and its a new season, and dare I say, it feels like a new show." He also added, "This is probably my favourite episode of the Path Not Taken... there was so much promising drama and exciting moments!" In its sophomore year, "The Path Not Taken" welcomes a new addition to the production crew, as Monica Ann steps in as executive producer, and script editor. Don't forget to congratulate the producers of "The Path Not Taken," as it remains the most successful drama series, ever to be picked up by the network.

Just In: VPN Orders Doctor Who Spin-Off, 'Bad Wolf' to Series! VPN opens up its Science Fiction section once again for 'Doctor Who' spin off! The network has given a series order to 'Bad Wolf', a 13-episode science fiction/adventure drama from 'Archangel' producer, Kerry Burkett. After receiving nothing short of positive reviews for the science fiction drama's pilot episode, "Bad Wolf," which will serve as a spin off series to BBC's 'Doctor Who,' has officially received a series order. The premise, taking place after the events of its parent show's fourth season, and being based on Rose Tyler and the "New Doctor" leaves room for a boatload of new, fresh and more unique stories to be told. First time showrunner, Kerry Burkett, will lead the series as she joins VPN's head writers. VPN executive, Jack Malone, had this to say about the pilot episode -- "My reaction is: brilliant! "Shadows the Past" could be described as an emotional rollercoaster, that marks the first adventure between Rose and Ten II - the beginning of a beautiful relationship friendship," Chris Davis added that 'Bad Wolf' is "a stylish take on a new journey for the Whoverse."Stay tuned for more information on the latest addition to VPN's 2012 Fall Lineup!
