I watched a little bit of a walkthrough of this game on YouTube, and it looks amazing! Don't know when I'll end up buying it, because I haven't even spent time playing my the most recent games I bought (Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, Gears of War 3) But whenever I get around to it, I'm sure I'll love it. XD

Yes, I haven't really had time to play a game in over a year. It's sad. LOL! I'm not buying another one until I've completed those three.

I really want to play this. It looks fantastic and I am feeling the retelling of the story of Lara Croft. I'm hoping my roommate gets some more copies in at his store so he can check it out and we can start playing it. Though, I'm not above buying it either.

I want it! It's a shame this wasn't made for Mac OS X. I would have definitely downloaded it by now. Right when I think I want to start playing games on my computer, I decide to get a Mac instead of a PC. What's wrong with me?

Nothing you chose the superior computer, the better question is what is wrong with them for not making it compatible with OSX.

I don't understand how people can beat games so quickly... especially games like Tomb Raider where puzzles are involved... maybe I'm just dumb when it comes to figuring things out. It did take me months to find Mr. Freeze in the coldest point of Arkham City.

So after buying this game yesterday, I have made it almost halfway through the game today. Oh my god, I freaking love this game. Seriously, the game play is on point. The story is extremely interesting, the challenges make it so much fun to go through and i haven't been bored at one point at all. I am taking my first official, not going to the store, restroom, or with my roommate to get his copy, break and I'm quickly yearning to get back too. I cannot wait to finish this and go back and try to 100% it. It is such an endearing and amazing game. If you haven't played it, play it. You will not be disappointed.
Update: I just beat this game and wow, I loved every minute of it. Now I'm going to go back through and attempt to 100% it. This was a fantastic game over all and a great reboot to the Lara Croft franchise. Building the origin story was a good way to go.

I know this game is over a year old by now, but I finally got it a few ago, and finished it about 3 days after purchasing it. It was so amazing. I hope they plan on making sequels in the same style, because I'd jump on them in a heart beat.

There is plans to make a sequel. I feel the complete opposite about the game though, I wish they would go back to the old style rather than the Uncharted style they've copied. Less shooting, more exploring.

I'm usually the first one to praise and want more of a game's storyline, and would take exploration over shooting any day, but this game's action was so fun for me that I didn't even notice. For someone who hasn't played Uncharted franchise, as it's a PS3 exclusive title, I didn't so mind the similarities, which now that you mention it, and I did some research, there are quite a few. I mean, you can tell Tomb Raider pulled a bit of inspiration from it, in terms of style.
That being said, I've never been a huge fan of the Tomb Raider franchise, so I don't particularly know what it was supposed to be like. I played and really loved Tomb Raider: Legend, as well as a pretty older title in the franchise on original Playstation, but I've never been one to invest in the franchise. That being said, I hope for a sequel we get a bit of both worlds. This was only her first journey, the thing that makes her into the woman we know her to be, so I understand it being more self contained, and limited to one location. In a sequel, I'd love to be able to go travel to different destinations around the world, as in "Legend," following the plot, or not.
What I think would be really quite cool is a Tomb Raider game that's even more open-world and free roaming. Like, say if Bioware and/or Bethesda decided to make a Tomb Raider game, but with the same design as Tomb Raider (2013). I'd be all over that.

Old Tomb Raider was very platform-y. While there was a bit of shooting, it mostly consisted of jumping, climbing and solving puzzles. I wouldn't mind a mixture of both old and new Tomb Raider but the new game certainly lacked in the old style. What I want most of all is to be able to go in search of ancient ruins, places where humans haven't stepped for thousands of years, delve and explore them, finding all sorts of treasure and creatures that have been long been forgotten to the world.
I'd love the next game to take place in several locations, much like the older games did. Having the locations a bit more open would be wonderful too. I don't know you're interested, but if you ever get the chance check out Tomb Raider Anniversary. It's probably the best in the series.
