The Fallen (Supernatural Drama) with PILOT

PREMISE

After the death of their mother, two siblings who couldn't be more different discover they are Nephilim's a half angel half human hybrid. They are given extraordinary gifts, which they struggle to control but learn that their power comes not just from believing in themselves but also believing in each other, as a rogue Angel, one with a dark past and even deadlier future arrives in town not only plotting against the siblings but also has a deadly plan that could mean the extinction of the human race as we know it.

CAST & CHARACTERS 

Matt McAllister (Portrayed by Steven R.McQueen)
At first glance Matt is cold and distant, but stick around long enough to take a second glance and you'll see an abandoned boy, hurt by years of having peopled walk out on him, he deeply blames his father for that and as such the two have a very tense relationship, and all though he initially harbours hatred towards Shannon the two grow close and Matt begins to become very protective of his sister.

Shannon McAllister (Portrayed by Lucy Hale)
Shannon is warm and friendly, she cares very deeply for the people in her life, she is also able to see the best in people, especially when they can't even find it in themselves... Although she occasionally misses what's right in front of her. She is initially shocked when she discovers the truth about her family and herself, she tries to understand her powers in order to protect the people around her, knowing now that angel's will be trying to come after her and her brother.

Justin Reid (Portrayed by Daniel Sharman)
Quiet is certainly not the word used to describe Justin Reid, loud and insecure, would fit much better, Justin makes up one third of a trio two thirds comprised of woman, and as such he often feels left out and out voted, so he often feels he needs to be louder than them, he remains the most open minded in the group and has inherited his mother's investigative flair. Which he often uses to help his friends.

Emily Ashford (Portrayed by Willa Holland)
Emily is the girl that every girl wants to be, and every boy wants to be with... or at least that's what she tells herself.. often making rude and lecherous comments in order to push people away, she only reveals herself to those who stay with her, and no one has stayed beside her longer than Shannon McAllister. A bond that can't even be broken by finding out your best friend is a Human/Angel hybrid. Emily is willing to stick to Shannon through thick and thin.

George McAllister (portrayed by Colin Ferguson)
George is a general surgeon at Northwood Memorial hospital, he has spent most of his adult life trying to save lives, but wasn't able to save his family, when his wife suddenly left him five years earlier. Never knowing the full scale of why his ex-wife left. George tries to maintain as close a relationship as possible with his daughter, he keenly feels the coldness and indifference Matt exudes in their own father/son relationship. While he tries hard to close that distance, years of anger and resentment are a constant obstacle in their relationship. But George plans to never give up on what's left of his family.

EPISODES

1.01 "In the Beginning"
A death in the McAllister family forces two siblings who couldn't want to get rid of each other more, under the same roof, but a secret that could lead to the deaths of the two lead them to face there past and come together in order to stop a archangel hell bent on killing them -- in order to move onto the next stage of a plan. One that could mean the end of humanity.

1.02 "Homecoming"
The McAllister's recover from another death of a close friend, which brings the return of Rachel Shay (Morgan) an old friend of Matt's, who still holds a grudge against him. An Angel known as Vincent (Guest Star: Michael Grant Terry) with the power to control water arrives in town, the boys (McQueen, Sharman) head to a small college town nearby to investigate a professor (Guest Star: Jeremy Davies) who may be able to answer some question.

1.03 "Normal Again"
Amara moves along with the next stage of her plan. Meanwhile after an accident at the McAllister's house, Shannon (Hale) turns to Rachel (Guest Star Lindsey Morgan), in a desperate plan to rid herself of her abilities, leaving Matt (McQueen) and Justin (Sharman) scrambling to stop her in time. Finally Emily (Holland) faces an identity crises as she discovers a betrayal in her own home.

This is something I've been working on for some time, a brand new pilot, which has drastically been altered, Alex Matthews has come up with the graphics and will be doing the cast bios as soon as he has some time. He has helped me a lot with the development of the pilot and has been great to bounce ideas off of, so hopefully the pilot is much better read than previous. All feedback is greatly appreciated, also expected some opening credits shorty

Okay, so I've read the pitch.

I still think Nephilim is very interesting - I've never read, watched, etc. that has anything to do with that lore, so stuff like that always intrigues me. However, this idea doesn't really grab me. What are there extraordinary gifts? And if you don't want to reveal all of them, at least list some of them.

Also, I don't really get a sense of the two leads and their relationship. I know you mentioned it in the description of the pilot, but a sentence or two could also be placed in their character descriptions or the premise. Speaking of which, I noticed a lot of SPAG errors. Fixing those would make the pitch more believable.

But yeah, this idea is still interesting. I'll be checking out the pilot, hopefully, by the end of the week, if not by the next few days!

Okay, downloaded the Pilot and I'm gonna give it a read over next couple of days and let you know what I think. Sounds like my type of story - supernatural, mystery and drama mixed together with a good casting you have got there. Should be fun

By the way, love the graphic and the opening credits are fantastic. Great job on those.

Thanks guys for the review of well the pitch this point I guess lol. But I do appreciate the interest, we put a lot more effort into the pilot and we might have dropped the ball a little on the pitch. It was late an I was anxious lol. So I will try and patch it up and add a little more to it over the next few days.

Okay, I've just had a read over the Pilot script - and these comments are only coming from someone who has very limited scripts being approved, so in a way I'm still learning as I'm going on and come from tips I've learned over the years.

I will say I do think it needs quite a bit of 'polishing up' I think would be the term. A number of SPAG issues, and some other things like the Camera Shots used, some parts need wording better to understand what is being shown more clearly etc as I had to re-read a few lines to understand what I just read. I don't think you need CUT TO after every scene either, use sparsely and only if helps moves to another scene that needs it. That's the things that I found while reading it which caused issues I felt - but can easily be sorted.

On the much more positive side, I will say you do have something here. The basis of the story I like, and it moves along at a nice pace to follow what is happening and helps introduce the characters and the setting of the series. I do believe with some polishing of the episode, this could be a good series to read.

yay so excited that this series of yours is coming together Matthew. it looks awesome and better then before not that the original was not quite not interesting, so am gonna make time to read this pilot, stupid work.
