What are your thoughts on the MTV Scream reboot? Do you think it works or would you rather see a Scream 5 movie with the original cast?

It's okay. It's not my favorite show, it's not even that good honestly, but it's enjoyable. Most of them are pretty unlikeable, but there have been one or two creepy moments. I'll watch to see what happens.

I've watched the first two episodes and I am physically incapable of giving up on a show until at least a season in, so I'll be staying.
That said, as a huge Scream fan (except the third: duh), the show doesn't touch the movies. The characters are all pretty unspectacular - Emma is just too wholesome to interest me as a protagonist. If I had to pick a favourite, it would probably be Brooke or Noah because, even though Brooke's teacher-romance arc reminds of Dawson's Creek season one and Noah is just too awkward in everyday life to be believable, they are the only characters not visibly bogged down by their deep dark secrets (i.e. still having a fun side to them) while still having a sense of intrigue about them.
So to summarise, it's decent, but it's the kind of show I pick flaws in as I watch (granted, I may be biased because I finished plotting a Scream mini-series like a month before they announced the show...). I don't watch any MTV shows so I'm not sure where this falls on the quality scale. I'm watching, reasonably entertained, but I'm not invested in it yet.
The Siri goof in the pilot was amusing though...
