just finished reading the rest of season 2, what a roller coaster ride!. I loved the christmas special and the Chlollie was awesome especially as I felt for most of the season she was still unsure if their relationship could survive and pulled away from him. Thank goodness Oliver stuck around to reassure her. As for the rest...words fail and EPIC comes to mind. Looking forward to knew epi's

I loved the christmas special and the Chlollie was awesome especially as I felt for most of the season she was still unsure if their relationship could survive and pulled away from him. Thank goodness Oliver stuck around to reassure her. As for the rest...words fail and EPIC comes to mind. Looking forward to knew epi's Thanks! At the start of the season, I really wanted to introduce real relationship issues for Chloe and Oliver, especially as we moved towards the idea of Oliver proposing. So a lot of this first half dealt with them overcoming those obstacles. In this upcoming back half which will start towards the end of next month, Chloe and Oliver see more eye to eye with things, and are much stronger for what they've both gone through. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the Christmas Special! I don't know if its something I'll continue to do yearly, but it was something fun to help tide over the hiatus break, and I really wanted to do that story with Mr. Freeze, his wife, Chloe's parents, etc. It was a lot of fun to write. Thanks for the wonderful feedback! XD

^HAHA, when Chloe finally started kick some ass in the last two seasons of Smallville, I was practically worshipping the writers. They had her kick the sh!t out of Linda Lake back in Season 6, but then she didn't really fight anyone else until Tess in Season 9. And don't worry, Karl. I appreciate all the time you do spend reviewing, reading, and talking about the show. You've supported this show since it first started, even before then when I pitched it. So I'm very thankful for that! XD

REVIEW: "Purpose"
First of all, I just wanna say that I apologize for not being regular with my reviews for Watchtower. I try my best to keep up on the episodes, but I don't always review for some reason or another. But, here I go, taking a shot at reviewing "Purpose".
This was a pretty big episode, especially for Chloe. You hit that nail right on the head. You could feel the emotion and how intense the episode was. I really liked how that unfolded. And seeing the two Chloes interact was pretty amusing, I have to say. What a stressful situation though, jeez.
The storyline with Bruce was also pretty interesting, I actually really enjoyed that. I'm not a Batman fan by any means, but I know bits and pieces of him and I have to say that in my opinion, your take on Batman is excellent. I really enjoy it more than I thought I would. His "partnership" with Gordon is one of the things I always remember from the cartoons that I used to watch, and so it was kinda cool to see that on Watchtower.
On another note, I'm already not liking Mason, but at the same time I'm glad for Helena getting settled into a normal life. And OMG! Harley Quin's intro, holy shit. I loved it, and I absolutely cannot wait to see more of her. She is by far my favorite villain of the DC universe, and I feel like you've definitely done her justice.
The only issue I had with the issue was that I got confused in some places, but that could be my own idiocy that caused that XD But regardless; all in all, it was a great episode that I really enjoyed. I give it a 8.5/10

In response to Aimee's review...
Yay. I was NOT expecting to see a review from you, so thank you! I really appreciate it, and I'm glad you liked it!
Yeah, this episode was pretty big for Chloe. I wanted to sort of go back, and fill in the gaps, so I can solidify the show more, before really entering new territory, and now that Smallville has ended, I can finally do that. I'm glad that the emotion came across, because I did want this to be an episode that, while it didn't physicall challenge Chloe, it did emotionally, and now that she's pregnant she'll engage in more emotional obstacles, rather than those that depend on pistol whipping, and pulling off a roundhouse kick.
It was also important to look at the images of the future we've seen, that appear to be pretty solid and "canon" is a word you could use, and spin that on its head to say: "no, the show isn't moving towards that end point." So bringing in a version of Chloe from THAT future seemed like a good way to start this second half, and I think that it adds a lot of ambiguity in regards to where Chloe ends up, and how her story ends. So, like the others, she's not safe either.
Wow, thats a huge compliment in regards to Batman. Thank you, Aimee!
Its taken me a while to get comfortable writing for 'Batman', because once you're in that territory you can't really back out, and stall more, so I sort of introduced the Dark Knight back in episode #2, and then threw Bruce in a different direction just so I could have time to adjust, and so now I'm kind of ready to go down that route, especially with Gordon. Anyway, thank you! That really means a lot.
Mason is only going to be in three episodes this season ("Purpose," "Curse", and "Torn"). You'll get to see a little more of his character, and where he stands, and whether he's going to be a good or bad aspect of Helena's life, in the long run. But yeah, he definitely won't be a favourite character, thats for sure. And as for Harley Quinn, I'm beyond stoked to have her in the show now. Ugh. So excited. I'm so glad you liked her! There's a lot more of her to come down the road, in this run.
About the confusion, I can understand. You are pretty idiotic. Haha, no, its mainly because I think this episode digs deep into a lot of Chloe's past, and there's a lot going on in terms of that, and perhaps certain areas could have been explained more for readers who aren't fully informed of her story on Smallville, however, I was very much aware of that, because this episode really does do a lot in terms of bridging the gaps between the mother series, and this spin off. So, I totally understand if there was confusion.
Aimee, thank you so much! I was looking forward to a review all day, and the fact I got one from you makes me beyond happy right now. Thanks again! XD

Just to let you know, I've read both aired episodes of the second half and WILL write up a combo-review tomorrow... I'll try to make it a long one. I love the build up you're doing with "Harleen Quinzel". Exciting as hell!

REVIEW: "Alien"I'm gonna write this as I read so that I can make sure not to miss anything. That said, the review might be kinda long-ish. So I apologize ahead of time. But, hey, at least I'm trying to get into a habit of reviewing weekly XD Something I've needed to be doing for a while now. THE TEASER | Loved it. Oliver's spiel about "destiny" amused me. Poor guy XD. I also have to say, I always enjoy the interactions between Oliver and Chloe. I was never a fan of Smallville, never seen anything from it other than an odd episode here and there, and the clips that you've shown me over MSN, etc. But regardless of that, I can see why a lot of people seem to favor this pairing (or at least I've noticed). Like I said, I really enjoy them. Vicki just seems to have a string of bad things happening to her. It probably shouldn't amuse me as much as it does, poor lady. But I'm sure she'll be just fine, as always. On to Act One we go! THE FIRST ACT | Definitely love the scene between Chloe and Vicki at the beginning of the act. The two play off each other well, it's really entertaining. I have a question though, which is unrelated really to the script. Well, it KINDA is, but more just my DC curiosity kicking in here. Superman is considered an alien, right? Or am I totally off in that? Anyway -- moving along. Sorry. Board meeting -- oh snap. "Ms. Bright" kinda got owned. When Zod is talking to Bruce about ruling the city, in his line about rallying them up, all I could think of as Hitler. Not sure if that's good or bad, but I'd imagine that's the feeling we're supposed to get. If not, maybe I have a problem rofl. Bruce trying to shoot him though, I gotta admit I literally scoffed. Way to go Bruce, that was totally gonna work. Zod probably should bitch slap him for that one. Oh. Well, that wasn't quite a bitch slap but I guess it works just as well! Epic ending to that act, by the way. And nice descriptions there, too. I could picture it perfectly. THE SECOND ACT | I really loved the interaction between Oliver and Bruce here. The sort of playful tone before Bruce mentions Zod. Oh lord, Vicki's stalking Chloe. This is going to end up being a mess, isn't it? I like the simple way you wrote out any possibility of Superman coming in. It made sense, and didn't seem like a forced point of plot convenience. Again, love the interaction between Chloe and Oliver on the roof. Really adorable XD those two crack me up. Holy shit -- the scene with them and Zod. Chloe has his powers now? This is gonna be epic. And here we go to Act Three! THE THIRD ACT | Oh screw you Vicki Vale. She is on my last nerve, Jack XD My. Last. Nerve. But we'll see how this pans out. Okay, I changed my mind. Vicki's cool again. That second scene with her, Chloe and Oliver made it all better. Chloe cracks me up: "Wait, there's more.". I can just SEE the look on Oliver's face! CHLOE Well my ambitions have been known to throw a few punches. Fucking. Love. That. Line. XD That was a good one. And this. CHLOE (CONT’D) He may be from another planet. But he deserves the same rights as everyone else. You can’t murder him. She and Melanie would get along perfectly. Just sayin'. Now, to act four!! THE FOURTH ACT | The scene between Chloe and Zod, epic. I feel like maybe it could have gone on a little longer, drawn it out a little more, but I really can't complain. It was a great scene. And Vicki! In trouble! Again! This woman needs to go home and stay there! XD It took me a second to figure out that crystal Chloe came charging up in there with, but I caught on. I really should research more, but -- oh well. You do most of the explaining for me. And on the act five! THE FIFTH ACT | Another great Chloe/Oliver scene. And, hahaha, "dynamic duo". Dunno if that was intended, but it amused the hell outta me. This entire act, I think, was my favorite. It had a lot of greats scene (the entire episode did, but I loved this act the most). All of them coming together, the feeling of an alliance. It was great. I really enjoyed this episode, and your build up with Harley Quinn -- omg. I'm excited, to say the least. "Alien" has got to be one of my favorite episodes thus far, Jack. I give you a full 10/10. One question though, will there ever been a time when Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent meet on Watchtower? I think it would be pretty cool -- I always remember their interactions from cartoons and stuff, like this movie I had with them once....I can't remember the name. Anyways, fantastic episode, Jack. ^^ P.S.: Oh my GOD. I am so sorry for the length lmfao. I got carried away...
