Just had to throw this in, after seeing his name appear several times. I think The Joker is the kind of character one can't/shouldn't just give one episode to. If he'd be in Watchtower, the only role I could imagine for him would be like Klaus for example is in "The Vampire Diaires", an unseen threat that eventually emerges and causes trouble. A season-long villain, so to say. I just can't imagine The Joker as a one-off.

wow that was just amazing....definitely was worth the wait Perfect star and ending....I really loved Bruce, his interaction with Chloe, and Selina...how he was about to stop himself from being again the playboy he used to be... I loved the twist about Rick being the one who killed his parents...i really felt sorry for him! I like the introduction of Selina....I'm really looking forward for some more interaction with Chloe..i think it will be fun I loved Oliver...he is so in love with Chloe...very patient and understanding guy.... he tried so hard to push her back into her old life...he missed her...he is so cute!! Chloe...she can be really stubborn, sometimes she really makes me angry....she just decided to shut down WT, and leave everyone behind... and at first she really looked happy about it. It surprised me that Oliver and Bruce just accepted her plan and went with it... she is a very lucky woman Now that she's back....Helena will came back too?? Emil, still don't trust him...but i really enjoyed his interaction with Oliver.... thank you so much....

wow that was just amazing....definitely was worth the wait Awwww, well thank you for reading and posting an awesome review about the episode. Bruce is a character that will have a lot of bulk to his story this season. Its fun digging into his purpose, and he's connections with the people around him. Once he steps into this new role of the iconic "Batman," things really take off with him that I think people might enjoy! The Bruce and Selina relationship is a quick one. Quick in that it starts up sooner than expected, and things progress rather fast. I could not be having anymore fun with those two. And the Chloe/Bruce friendship is also enjoyable - its more fun to write them without any angst and stuff getting in between them. They're purely just friends now. The twist with Rick wasn't planned originally. But connecting Bruce and Selina in both the tragedies surrounding them was fun. You'll definately see how both are affected, and what paths they'll take. They definately contrast each other - they'll both need each other this season for that balance. I'm so happy to hear that That's definately Oliver's role at first. He's trying to understand Chloe, and get into her mind and try and work it all out. The next few episodes have a lot of issues between them, and come "Lockdown" there'll be a huge confrontation where there relationship hits a huge road block. But, there's always problems that surface relationships, and there's some things Chloe needs to deal with that I think she needs to uncover on her own. Their relationship is very different this season - there's more going on, some really great things and some not-so-great things. I love writing them! I firmly stand by Chloe's side when she wanted to give up. I think she's someone who does deserve a chance at happiness, and to go out and do other stuff that doesn't involve 'saving the world.' But like Oliver said, when that day comes, Chloe has lost herself. Her purpose. Who she is. So, although Chloe had these doubts, she needed to discover that. And she's got amazing support, from Oliver and Bruce in particular. As for Helena. I can say she'll still be very much involved in a lot of the big season arc, but as for being the Huntress again ... well you'll just have to stay tuned all season to see how that plays out. Helena's taking up a different role - she'll be the more "human" character this season, as she deals with less 'apocalyptic chaos' and more drama in the real world. However, she'll still be in that environment, so a lot of bad things do creep their way back into her "normal life." Yay! Emil won't be a huge mystery this season. Up until about "Fear" and "Arkham" you'll find out more about his agenda, why he's back, what he knows, which side he is on, etc. He's got a 5-episode-arc that I'm really proud of. I'm not sure if he'll be back for more episodes after that, but nevertheless, he's got a good arc that I think those that like and hate him will enjoy. Hopefully, hahaha. Thanks for the REVIEW!

I definitely believe that the Joker shouldn't be a "one-off" villain, however, I don't think he should be a "season-long" villain. Maybe a multi-episode arc, but not built up all season -- he's not THAT kind of big bad.

Review of "Knight." Okay Jack! Wicked excited about this episode. I'm going to review while I read so it will be split up act by act and scene by scene. TEASERWow. Felt like I was reading the script of Batman movie by Christopher Nolan himself!! The teaser did many things; brought forth witty dialogue between two of favorite characters (Bruce & Selina), and established the story of "The Dark Knight." He is finally here and this is the beginning of an EPIC tale on Watchtower. Even just reading the teaser, I feel like this episode will be very a special one. ACT ONE- First Chloe/Oliver scene. Looks like crime in the city getting to be more of a pain in the ass than usual and I love that both Chloe and Oliver are in the middle of it and I love that Chloe knows not to second guess herself anymore. - I have to say, your characterization for Alfred is great. I know he is a minor character but he really sounds like Alfred! HAHA. - My favorite scene so far. Helena & Chloe at the coffee shop. I love that they're still able to be friends, even though Helena isn't one of them, in the "hero" sense, anymore. They still have a great connection and bond and it really shows in this scene. I like how irritated Chloe gets will Selina. I can't wait for all three of them to have a scene together (if that will ever happen). I also love it when you mention Smallville or its characters in any way, even though it was a Clark/Lois mention, it was still like *yay!* Really sad about Helena being shot though. She'll be okay. - Loved The Dark Knight's official appearance! I've been waiting for this and it's finally here. Just can't really fathom it. Batman is one of the best characters you could have on Watchtower! I'm sure this storyline will add much excitement this season! By the way, Chloe's -- "This is Gotham. If you don’t get mugged at least once a week, there’s something wrong with you." -- is just brilliant! Love that line! END OF ACT ONE.Great first act! Established the character "the Dark Knight" and it managed to get a lot done! Can't wait to read the next 3-4 acts! XDACT TWO- Selina is ragging all over Chloe! haha. It's funny and Perry can see right through her! What I love about her character and how you write her, is that even though she sometimes has an abrasive personality, she is still very likable. You don't get too caught up in the "Does she need to be more of a b-tch, or less?!?" It seems like it kind of flows on its own and that's why she's I think you write her perfectly! Very real character. - Great! Looks like the main plot has just started. Falcone has got Rhino going after Chloe to question her about the Dark Knight. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out. - So, Selina has just got a taste of what Chloe's life is really like, now that she's got a case of mistaken identity in the not so good way. Very great way to involve her in the main story. The action scene between her and Robert (Rhino) was amazing! Really loved the descriptiveness of it and how everything flowed very realistically. Picturing Eliza Dushku saying "Shit!!", in a very funny way by the way, was just priceless. I know this is off topic but, very great casting for her! END OF ACT TWOAnother great act. Set of the plot very well with great dialogue and action throughout. Kept me excited and involved for every scene! Great turning point at the end of the act and I can't wait for the next!ACT THREE- The fact that Bruce and Oliver are still friends is just amazing! HAHA! Really liking their friendship at the moment. - The scene with Chloe (Selina) and Falcone was really good. Very funny when you added that flashback in there. I like that you're exploring her past and what she used to do. More flashbacks and storylines from her past that tell us more about her character is a plus! Hope to see more. - Chloe comes home to see her apartment is ruined. There was a lot of wit in this scene, with Chloe and Oliver talking about cleaning the mess up, and more. Just a great Chloe/Oliver scene! Haha! The Dark Knight and Chloe's 2nd scene! Short but very sweet! Bruce is such a jerk, haha! Loved it! END OF ACT THREEGood act. It seemed to go by faster than the others but that's okay, we have 60+ in this episode! xD Hellz yeah.ACT FOUR- This act started with a HUGE scene and a real revelation for Chlollie. Oliver feels that Chloe is making a bad decision when trusting The Dark Knight and Chloe thinks Oliver doesn't trust her. It brought up a lot of good old tension that every good relationship needs and I think this is the first real "Chlollie" scene of the episode. It was great. I also loved that Chloe actually said "BAT...MAN!" Holy Crap! xD - The episode is coming along very smoothly! The conflict is on its way and the waiting is killing me! Selina and Chloe's phone conversation is just priceless. Her talking about putting icing on a cake, haha. I also love that Chloe mentions Kim Possible, PLUS, Nikita! xD - More flashbacks of Selina! AWESOME! Love the connection between her and Falcone (or, his son anyway). The Dark Knight bursting into the warehouse was great. The action was, again, perfect! Very descriptive and clear! No bad things to say!! xD ACT FOURGreat act! Episode's almost over! Oh no! I'm really loving "Knight."ACT FIVE- By far the best fight scene of the episode! Watchower, Green Arrow & The Dark Knight, together! Now that is EPIC! Loved the scene with Chloe and the Dark Knight. There's definitely something worth seeing there. I think their journey together and what will come of him revealing himself, to her, assuming that he will, eventually, will be interesting to see. - The montage was great. Gave us a run through of all the characters! Really worried about Selina. I wonder how this experience will change the way she sees Chloe. ACT FIVEEpic, action packed act! Did its job extremely well! ACT SIX- Another Oliver & Bruce scene. Really great. So funny to see Oliver talking down on the Dark Knight in front of Bruce! HEHE! The day that find the connection will be AWESOME! Chloe and Oliver have an amazing relationship and I hope this thing between them lately doesn't completely destroy it! Praying for a good ending for them, whether its this season or the last season! They deserve to be happy and together - Oh no! That Chloe/Helena fight was so hard to read! Though I do understand that Helena wants to lead a normal life now that she reconnected with her father, I don't think she needs to totally remove Chloe from her life. Let's hope this isn't the final goodbye between those two. I really like their friendship! xD - Oh my god! How was that guy that stabbed Falcone! Possibly a Checkmate agent? Wow, you WOULD give us a scene like that! Jerk! haha Can't wait to see how that one unravels itself! xD - OH MY CHLOLLIE! Great ending scene. The two lovers have a rough patch in the middle of the episode and it could have gone either way but I like this outcome a lot more than what could have been! Very great, touching scene between the two. I hope that Chloe moves in with him so that can have lots of --- ahem .... good chats. HAHAHA XD END OF ACT SIXAmazing act! It set a lot of things in motion for the season and gave us a great ending! Marvelous job!RATING: 10/10 What a special episode! Not only because it was longer than the others, but this episode had an AMAZING story to tell. One that I can only hope will progress throughout the season and series! Amazing job. Though only episode 2, "Knight" is my FAVORITE episode! xD

Thanks, Chris! Wow. No way in hell do I measure up to Christopher Nolan, the guy wrote "Inception," "The Dark Knight" and is a freakin' genius! I'm glad you liked that scene. I was a little on the fence about which character should be denying the "quick escape" if you will, because it seemed out of character for Selina to be saying no, but I think that it showed the two of them were beginning to become a lot more than just f*ck buddies. So I'm glad you liked it! xD The premiere really explored her doubts, whereas this episode was to show Chloe knowing her purpose, and knowing that this is what she needs to be doing -- also, showing that she knows her mistakes, and knows that she could have prevented this increase of crime. Also, instead of detaching from the plot by showing the shootout and showing Oliver on his wild goose chase of taking down robberies, stopping murders, etc, I could introduce that aspect in the first scene. LOL. I love writing Alfred, so thank you! I'm pretty sure I give him one too many "Master Bruce's" or "Sirs." I can't picture this Bruce Wayne as a character who treats Alfred like a slave, or calls him a Butler, like Alfred has always been that father figure in his life, the person who really did raise him. But its definitely IN Alfred's character to constantly hold higher praise to Bruce, ala "Sir" and "Master." Although Helena's been taken away from the main characters a lot, and her involvement in plots, and situations, and stories has suffered a little, I really wanted to show that Chloe and Helena still got together and talked, and had fun - they lost contact for a while during Chloe's phase of "don't I deserve to have a normal life, now?" So its been a while since they've caught up, and it was fun writing a scene between them again. I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I swear, these references back to Smallville come so naturally. Either it pops straight into my head as I write the dialogue, or it doesn't come at all and sometimes I miss good opportunities. But I'm glad you enjoyed them! xD YAY! The Dark Knight's entrance is probably one of the only things that stayed put from the original draft. I wanted his official entrance on the show when the audience first see him (well, read him) to be perfect. I'm not sure if I nailed it, but I'm sooooo happy you liked it! It means a lot, Chris! Unlike Helena's introduction to the show where she came off as a bit of a bitch, and sort of a nemesis to Chloe, Selina's been kind of different, in the sense that (hopefully) you can see the wit behind the heated scenes of her raging about Chloe, or her being in a scene with Chloe. I think its fun. Its a lot of fun to write, and I hope that translates from the page -- they don't get along THAT well, but they're not exactly at each other's throats, wanting to kill one another (despite what Chloe says, hahaha). I'm beyond happy you like her, and I hope you like what's to come with Selina. xD This idea hit me around the middle of writing the script. I had just decided to give the episode a second draft, and change practically EVERYTHING, when I decided to give Selina this subplot - after almost approaching ACT FIVE I realised that it overpowered the main plot of Bruce Wayne's coming into the role of the Dark Knight, which resulted in a 68 page script in the end, LOL. I think, ultimately, it gave Selina more of a spotlight for when the show took some focus OFF of her and moved more into the direction of the other characters (especially Helena who gets some great stuff coming up in future episodes). And just getting the chance to throw Selina in the middle of the action was fun. Originally in the first script, it was something terrible happening to Helena that threw her in the action. But I felt it was too soon, and something that needed to be held off -- putting Helena in this situation would just result in Helena beating the crap out of everyone, or at least, people would EXPECT that. Selina, whilst obviously having some hand-to-hand combat skills, isn't exactly a 'superhero/vigilante.' And I felt it was more interesting that Selina, on her quest to one-up Chloe, would get caught in the action and need to be saved. xD It is kind of hilarious how Bruce was all over Chloe back in the first season, and somehow, Oliver and Bruce have maintained this friendship. I think it helps that Oliver knows Bruce is eyeing someone else instead of his girl. It was fun exploring Selina's past. We know, from her skills in breaking and entering, she must have at one point been a thief (which brings the comics into it all). And now, from this flashback, we see that she was also a prostitute, and it also solidifies what Rick's role in her life was - Rick being the character introduced to us in the premiere, who is responsible for both tragedies in Selina and Bruce's life. So it was a lot of fun to sculpt. - Relationships need SOME drama for ME, personally, to keep involved and keep enjoying their interactions. Sometimes, without some good, old fashion drama, you tend to find they're so happy and lovey dovey that you start to smell some disgusting cheese. This is what happened with Clark and Lois on Smallville. I think, what's great about Chloe and Oliver is that they DO argue, and they DON'T always agree, and they have these problems and obstacles they need to address and overcome. What was going on in their lives at this point brought up some issues, and you'll really see them struggling to get back in the right place up until around episode four. Its been a lot of fun writing them! xD Haha. The first thing that came to mind with "trace" was tracing something with icing for a cake, I don't know WHY. I must have been hungry. I haven't had cake in years. *starts drooling* *slaps self* Anyway ... I'm glad you liked the references too. Kim Possible and Nikita! xD Hehehe. Alberto Falcone was another addition to the episode that wasn't in the original draft, and it was just fun trying to link it all up with Selina's character and how she ties into these situations - so its not just a random, boring, "oh, well she's been kidnapped, now she'll get saved..." situation. I didn't want things to be incredibly predictable, especially with a new character. I'm glad you liked the fight scene! I wanted something different, not just a bit of a fight, and then Falcone being knocked out - and when I came to the decision of incorporating all three characters in stopping the main threat of the episode - Falcone - I decided to use their signature stuff (batman, batarang; chloe, guns; green arrow, arrows). It may have been a stretch of the imagination how it all turned out, HAHA, but what ISN'T in television action/drama shows these days? There's a huge story between Chloe and Oliver that will play out during the whole season. They're both in every episode this season, and so you'll see a lot of them, and I hope you'll enjoy what's in story (especially around mid-season). It was hard to write too! I think I rambled on for many more pages before I had to cut a lot of stuff and realise that they ARE still friends, and Helena is doing this not to hurt Chloe but to solidify her life, and try and protect and hold onto what she has now. You're right though, removing Chloe from her life is not the right step, and this whole Helena/Chloe story will continue into next week. Helena's story is one I really cherish this season. Its been fun to have a character sort of on the outside of everything, and seeing how the world of Gotham affects an average joe, so to speak. Its been fun. HAHAHA. Ahh ... and the mystery begins. I can say Falcone's death has relevance to this 'coming threat' that will slowly reveal itself in the coming episodes. As for Checkmate's involvement? Idunnooo. There's a lot of red herrings, a few misguided clues, but all will become clear sooner rather than later. There's a lot more on this 'coming threat' next week in "Lockdown." HAHAHA. You sly dog, haha. Yes, I'm sure Chloe and Oliver will be chatting a lot, and more regularly in their apartment. HAHA. "chatting". HAHA. I'm glad you liked that it turned out well for them, they have two more obstacles to sort of leap over and get through in the next two episodes before they're truly back on course (or possibly broken forever...), so stay tuned for their relationship storyline in the next few episodes. But moving in together was definitely a step forward. What's next? Marriage? You'll have to see. xD THANK YOU CHRIS! Your thoughts and opinions on Watchtower and my writing in general means a lot, because your work is definitely an inspiration, especially with "Trinity." So thank you for reviewing, and giving the episode such high praise. It really means a lot! xD

May I just come with a little suggestion? I know you want to stick to canon... but I beg you, please, ignore the stupid fate Tess suffered in the series finale. I think she would be the most logical character to feature on "Watchtower", since (being referred to as Watchtower 2) would serve as a sort of "rival" to Chloe and the chemestry between the two of them would just be BRILLIANT. And this is far-fetched (but hey, it won't hurt to spit it out anyway), I could actually see Tess appear in several episodes for season three or possibly be a series regular. If you really want to stick to canon, you could have her be cloned or something or have it turn out that she didn't die at all. In any case, I think the character of Tess Mercer would be a great addition to this show (I imagine it would be kind of like Buffy and Faith, but the rivalry toned down a good bit).
As for "Knight", I've been very busy this week, but I'll be giving it a good read without any interruptions later today, as it deserves.

As for "Knight", I've been very busy this week, but I'll be giving it a good read without any interruptions later today, as it deserves. I was just talking with Chris - who writes Trinity - about a possible Tess return, so the two of us have definitely been thinking about it. We can't just ignore her death, or the fact that it happened, but I don't think I'll be jumping the gun by saying you can expect her on either shows, more than likely both, at some point this season or next (if our shows get a next). I would really like to see Tess come face to face with Lex after what he did, so I'd say Tess would show up on 'Trinity' first, however, I can't say how she'd return, and whether she'd be back to her evil ways or still follow down her redemptive road. And I don't mean to be too coy or "just wait and see..." sorta thing, but Chris was telling me of one hell of a good storyline on Trinity he was planning for season two, and we danced around the idea of it being a way to bring Tess back into the fold. I personally think Tess should show up on 'Trinity' first, and the move over to Watchtower. And I really like that whole Buffy/Faith comparison. It could be a really fun dynamic. So yeah, we're definitely in talks of trying to find the perfect way to do it, and I don't think I'm speaking too soon in saying I think it'll happen. Whether it'll happen THIS season, I'm not sure ... I'm guessing it'll more than likely be next - if we both get renewed. xD

Your reply just made my day. xD And I completely forgot about Lex... yeah, that would be very interesting as well, the whole "You killed me, you son of a bitch!" thing would be fun to see between Tess and Lex.

I was going to tone down her fighting this season because it sort of came out of the blue, and then when Chloe showed up in Season 10 slinging guns, and kicking ass, I figured I'd just keep her fighting skills. She still manages to get thrown around a bit though, haha. xD

Wow... make that a double Wow. This was one hell of an episode. I love that almost all the characters got their fair share of spotlight... and I have to admit, I'm slowly starting to like Selena. She's a very resourceful young woman and I loved the moment when she slashed Falcone with that concealed knife. I have VERY high hopes for this season and I can't WAIT for the next episode (and for a certain episode called "Arkham")!

Let me just tell you how EXTREMELY promising this season looks right now... I mean, BTVS Season Two-quality (which has been called one of the best tv seasons). This episode is no exception; it had SO MUCH meat to it, from nice character development, Selina Kyle's hilarious comments (and I think I can at this point officially call myself a fan of her), the action... and (the thing that I loved the most in this one) the return of TWO-FACE! My god, did I not expect that, despite spotting the actor's name among the guest stars xD (pretty stupid of me, lol). Poor Helena... I'm really feeling for that girl and what she's gone through and will have to go through now. Though I'm a little surprised at the rabid reaction of the citizens, pulling down the door and all...
Overall, another wonderful episode filled with moments. 10/10.
