FROM THE CREATORS OF GIFTED & STORY OF A GIRL - The new hit television series, Complex, tells a story of eleven residents, leading their very complicated lives in Hollywood, California. It follows Alicia's (Hilarie Burton) new life here at Elevour Cove, as she is fresh out of Law School, snatching a job at one of the biggest Lawfirms in town, Turner & Clyde, where resident, Alaina Turner (Cassidy Freeman) works; in fact, she runs the place. Living at the complex, nearly engaged, are fiance's Justin (Ryan Eggold) and Casey (Serinda Swan), who both work at St. Bernard Hospital, and when her ex-boyfriend, Thomas Caine (Matthew Morrison) moves in, their relationship begins to strain. Also at the complex, there is Kristin Shaw (Bridget Regan) who is a failing teacher, slowly going down a dark path, towards a life of prostitution; her roomate, Kyle (Ian Sommerhalder), an out of work actor, struggling to make some cash in the big city; Peter Saxby (Austin Nichols), an aspiring photojournalist, looking to make it big here in Hollywood; and last of all Lily (Kyoku Fakuda), head chef of a three star restaurant, and Dan (Lucas Black), a drunken bartender. Their landlord, William Burrage (Paul Johansson), runs the place, and makes it his job to be apart of every person's life, and unfortunately, becomes every single persons' enemy. Now, in this 24 episode season, watch these very complicated lives, fall apart...
Alicia Travers portrayed by Hilarie Burton
The aspiring lawyer is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet; easy on the eyes, and kind-hearted. Arriving to Elevour Cove, fresh out of law school, Alicia Travers is searching to find her place in the world; but moving to this big city, and into this complex, she will soon find herself changing as the world around her is a very dark, and scary place.
Alaina Turner portrayed by Cassidy Freeman
The CEO of an extremely prestigious law firm. She started off as a hard-core lawyer and has always stood her ground in a court room. She's the baddest bitch you'll ever lay your eyes on and she wears that title with pride, but her position of power puts her in a state of loneliness, finding it hard to find what she so ultimately wants in life ... love.
Kristin Shaw portrayed by Bridget Regan
From when she was little she always knew she’d wanted to become a teacher. But ever since she has began her career at Evermore High, she’s found it stressful and frustratingly painful at times. And when her father passes away from cancer, her whole life turns upside down. She gets fired from her job for threatening kids; is buried in debt over hospital bills, and soon takes up a job as a stripper. But what Kristin struggles to come to terms with is that there is a fine line between being a stripper, and being a prostitute. Will this horrid path lead her towards a life in prison?
Kyle Millers portrayed by Ian Sommerhalder
Being an out of work actor, Kyle moved to Elevour Cove ever since his career flopped, and since then he has been struggling to pay rent. Taking up acting classes to try and improve his talent, which is very much underrated, he hopes to one day star in an all time blockbuster movie of the year film. Spending months in the same apartment with Kristin, he has developed somewhat of a crush on her; but she’s way too busy to even notice his cry for love. Will they ever become something more than just roommates?
Casey Rae portrayed by Serinda Swan
An amateur nurse, attempting to create a new life with her new fiance, Justin Foster. She’s kind hearted, yet a can be a bit obnoxious when it’s called for. She adores her lover with all her heart and would do just about anything for him but she finds herself in a rut when her ex boyfriend contacts her, revealing his feelings for her are still there. Will this create conflict before her and her fiancee or will it become even more severe?

One of the best medical doctors at Saint Bernard Hospital. Also the fiance of the hospitals newest nurse, Casey Rae. Justin is a professional, always looking at a situation from every single angle and attempting to complete even the simplest task with perfection, which proves useful when it comes to doing his job well. But will his need for perfection become dangerous?
Thomas Caine portrayed by Matthew Morrison
Selling his very first screenplay, the aspiring screenwriter arrives to Elevour Cove in hopes of rekindling an old flame with Casey; but when discovering her already with another man, he makes it his mission to ruin their relationship and have her crawling back into his arms. Which, ironically, becomes the storyline of his next screenplay.
Peter Saxby portrayed by Austin Nichols
The photo journalist who’s been attempting to crack his first huge story. He has an obvious attraction toward Alicia. Yet, at first, is too timid to start a conversation with her. When he hears about the murder of his landlord, he goes deep to find out who killed him and why, but will he wander too far?
Lily Chi portrayed by Kyoko Fukada
One of Alicia’s oldest friends, who comes back into her life only recently. After witnessing a massive crime and turning to the Witness Protection Program, Lily undergoes a name change and overall, and life change. Currently working as a chef at a local 3 star restaurant, Lily lays low in fear that she may still be at risk.
Dan Stephenson portrayed by Lucas Black
Being the outcast of the group, Dan Stephenson earns his income by making drinks and breaking up bar fights. Having a terrible upbringing into this world, child abuse, beatings, he turned to cigarettes and alcohol at a much younger age, and has become somewhat addicted. And when being introduced to a life of drug dealing, and overdosing, has he taken it too far? Can he ever be brought back from the deep end of things?
William Burrage portrayed by Paul Johansson
Being a man of much more maturity, William doesn’t find these people of Elevour Cove appealing at all, and has become quite outraged by all of them. Being seen as an old fart with a temper, he’s formed enemies with every single person in the complex - which makes everyone a suspect for his murder.
1x01 - Welcome to Elevour Cove
THE ELEVOUR COVE COMPLEX GETS A NEW FACE - Fresh out of law school, Alicia (Hilarie Burton) shows up at the complex, ready to move in. Running into longtime friend, Lily (Kyoko Fukada), she is warned that this place changes people; and that if she stays long enough, it’ll turn her into someone she never wanted to be. Snatching a job working at Turner & Clyde Lawfirm, her dreams are already coming true, until she discovers she’s just landed a job as a secretary, working for Alaina Turner (Cassidy Freeman) the wicked witch of the north west. Meanwhile, Casey’s (Serinda Swan) boyfriend, Justin (Ryan Eggold) pops the question, and she struggles to come up with an answer; Kristin’s (Bridget Regan) first day as a teacher goes horribly wrong; and Kyle Millers’ (Ian Sommerhulder) career agent informs him that he yet again lost the audition, and its almost impossible to find anyone who will even consider him.
1x02 - Sparks of an Old Flame
AN OLD BOYFRIEND OF CASEY’S ARRIVES AT THE COMPLEX - Showing up announced, screenwriter Thomas Caine (Matthew Morrison) spreads the news about selling his very first script. But that’s not the only reason he’s returned. Seeking Casey’s (Serinda Swan) love, will she take the man she almost married up on his offer, or stay with Justin (Ryan Eggold), the man she’s with now? Meanwhile, Lily (Kyoku Fukada) experiences sexual harassment in her workplace, threatened to be fired if she doesn't sleep with her boss; Justin's new patient is on death row, and with no parents around to face the decision of letting him go, he must decide whether or not to let this kid live or die; and the landlord, William Burrage (Paul Johansson), blackmails Dan (Lucas Black), revealing his deep dark secrets.
1x03 - Snapshots of a Broken Reality
WHEN LIFE GETS YOU DOWN, SNAP A PHOTO OR TWO - Excited about his new job offer, Peter (Austin Nichols) begins to make a work portfolio, going around the complex and snapping photographs of his friends; but each photograph leads back to the terrible day they’ve just had. Lily (Kyoko Fukada) attempted to resolve the sexual harassment going on at work; Alicia (Hilarie Burton) and Alaina (Cassidy Freeman) were held hostage at the lawfirm when an angry client lost the plot; Kristin (Bridget Regan) lost her temper in front of the students, and was forced to discuss her future with the principal; Casey (Serinda Swan) and her fiance, Justin (Ryan Eggold) had their first big argument; and William’s (Paul Johansson) blackmail attempt at Dan (Lucas Black) came back to bite him in the ass.
