REVIEW: 3.08 "Hope"MAN, DOES IT FEEL GOOD TO BE BACK! Woohooo! It's nice to be airing again and getting such awesome reviews. Thanks Brady! Bringing in Hope Sullivan was the whole reason continuing with the pregnancy storyline for Chloe in the second half of season two happened in the first place. I didn't want to just bring in a baby to the show knowing full-well what would come of the Chloe/Oliver relationship in that year's finale, and so once I realised that I could bring Hope from the future and get to play with that character I instantly knew I had to do it. The really cool about this version of the character is that she's essentially now from an aborted timeline because Chloe finds Hope in the present, and so I could do these outlandish things with her. With that said, she's still integral to the story because of what she's set up and what she has changed. This version of her being erased from the future doesn't affect the changes she's made in our present day storyline because of how many threads in time are being overlapped and played out here as well as the fact that Chloe gave her enough time to do what she did (with Kyle) before erasing her completely. Speaking of Kyle, these next few episodes really are about completing his origin story and by the second half of this season he will be a fully established, integrated character with no mystery surrounding him whatsoever. It's nice to be able to say that he's not just packing all this heat with no explanation as to how it came about and I wanted Hope's arrival on the show to be more important than just getting to see what Chloe's daughter could be like had things played out the way they were going to play out. So having it be her who gives him these powers just made so much sense, and having it tie back to the first season with Emil was something that I wanted to do to make this season feel even more "epic" for the series in the sense that all the pieces of the puzzle are coming together and that everything that has happened so far within Watchtower's run has happened for a reason. So I'm glad it connected with you in that way and you enjoyed that aspect of this episode. Having the opportunity to bring Hope and Mia into the story to achieve that massive plot point and reveal was ultimately just an added bonus I couldn't pass up on. I'm so happy you're asking these questions. Woo! That was definitely the intended plan at the end of "Guardian" when Lisa went missing. I know you mentioned in the review that you were mad that Lisa just upped and left and I didn't want to be like "NO SHE GOT TAKEN BY HUGO STRANGE" because it was part of the cliffhanger at the end of this episode and was going to be explained. But now that it's out in the open, it's cool to see all those questions being asked and they will be answered in next week's episode! Hugo Strange's introduction isn't so much on the spectrum of the wider, ongoing storyline involving Hush, but it will tackle some of the larger sub-plots of this season as well as give us a lot of character beats and moments that are required going forward. So hopefully you'll enjoy the episode next week just as much as this one! I definitely agree. Part of it is also the massive break between "Guardian" and "Hope" that wasn't really planned. So going from the previous episode where Talia basically reveals that she's let Davis Bloome into this world and he's more than she bargained for and she's terrified about what he's going to unleash for the world to this episode of seeing Bruce working to find something that can sustain him and make sure he isn't unleashed... it would have been less damaging to the flow. But I agree. It was a necessary component of the season, but finding a place for that scene within this episode was challenging and something that obviously could have been worked on. The opening of the episode was definitely meant to be this high stakes, suspenseful, over-drive of an opener that just escalated and escalated. An interesting thing I was going to do was create a parallel showing that Hope had to do the exact same thing to get into the present day but it had to be cut from the episode because that itself was another ten pages and seeing Chloe go through a similar process went from "a cool parallel" to "unnecessary" real fast. I mean seeing Chloe have hope that she would reunite with her daughter, then it being torn away because of Dinah, and then seeing what lengths she would go to in order to get that opportunity back hints at the direction of this character for the season. I mean, she killed Bruce. She was pushed so far as to kill Bruce on the idea that it could get her daughter back and while that's part of an "aborted timeline" now too, it's still interesting to see what could make Chloe snap and what she'd do to protect her daughter and her family. As for Imra, she was purely a cameo appearance. I really liked having that moment with her and out of the Legion it had to be her because she holds the most innocence and the most nobility and the most heart. While that scene cuts off prematurely, or at the peak of it's intent, and goes straight to Chloe resurfacing in the past to change what had happened... it implies that Chloe had to kill her too in order to obtain that ring. I hope that explained why she was needed for the episode, and for that scene to work. In regards to Dick, though, he was purely a follow up to - again - the previous episode. Dick and Helena were both in that hospital after learning that Lisa was gone, and so he's still there now. Plus, having Helena go from attacking Gordon to just walking away wouldn't have felt right for the brief moment that was needed. So having Dick there to leech her away from him and tell her to stop felt like the right route to go down. That makes me so happy. Thanks, Brady! I'm glad you saw it that way. I was worried there was a little too much bitterness that it might be a bit pushed or a bit forced in regards to her interactions in the beginning of the episode with Chloe. But I wanted to show that she was hurt and she clearly didn't know or understand what Chloe had to do or what she was forced to do and give up and sacrifice. I really wanted Hope to be oblivious to it all and just know the Chloe that's written in the history archives, you know? I think the only real glimpse we get of that character and who Hope is at her core is in that final scene with Chloe in the back of the vehicle where they're both genuine with each other and aren't angry or bitter or holding up a front and so I was kind of expecting everyone to not like this character, at least for the majority of the episode. It's nice to see her actually being understood and not disliked for how she acted in the first half of the episode. So yeah, you've made my day Aw, man. Thank you! That means a lot. As I told you on Skype, this was kind of the last appearance of the Suicide Squad in its current form. I'm really not a big fan of how they did the Suicide Squad on "Smallville" and so every time I've brought them back on Watchtower, I've tried to turn it into something else and steer it towards the version from the comics but it's just never been played like that and so I wanted to give them one big, last hurrah to, ultimately, finish it off. I feel like Rick Flagg was the guy who introduced the Suicide Squad within this continuity so if I wanted to end it we would have to see him die (to put it bluntly). In this episode, I wanted to show him being the misguided force behind this alliance and how he's a very controlling person. I mean, Warp respected him and understood him, but Dinah and Alexandra just kind of felt like they had to follow his orders. Killing him freed everyone in a sense, and Warp was allowed to make his own decisions, and despite what happened to Alexandra, she had relief too. The only loose thread is what happens to Emil Hamilton, and where does he fit into all of this... something I haven't planned yet but definitely will tackle later on in the series I think it's awesome that you're like: "this is just the beginning, right?" When I planned for Dinah's return, it was only meant to be this one episode (and potentially the mid season finale). However, after I wrote that last scene with Alexandra, I realised that she couldn't just up and leave and we had to explore that more. So, she's in the next three episodes and has her own arc that weaves in and out of the other storylines planned for those episodes. In the same sense that these episodes will finish the origin story of Kyle, these four episodes tackle the origin of The Black Canary in the way that we know her to be in the comics. When it came to Alexandra (Dinah Drake), I had strayed so far from the comics that being able to tie it back into the source materiel in this episode called for tying Dinah herself back into the source material and now we're going to see how she doesn't quite fit into this world anymore, and this city and she's going to want something more than what it can offer her. So there's a nice arc for her to watch out for. Hush is my favourite aspect of the season too and I will say that he plays a much larger role in the back half of the season than the next few episodes. That said, Hush still has a role in driving certain character's in the next few episodes and he does resurface in the tenth episode (penned by Chris Davis). So there's a lot to look forward to with him. Next week will deal with Vicki and Perry wanting to lure Hush in so they can stop him and so they turn to Kahn for help in orchestrating some sort of front page story to use as a beacon to grab his attention. Whether that comes to fruition, or works, or whatever... stay tuned! Ending on the reveal of Doomsday sets up so much. I think, similarly to Hush, it drives a lot of characters' motivation and actions in the next episode. Chloe, specifically, reacts in a really crazy way and adding Moira, Gabe and baby!Hope back into the story just elevates it even more for her. Now, everything that threatens the city, and threatens the team, threatens Chloe's family and so she's that much more passionate about putting an end to everything. She wants to fight back and she's going to start with none other than Talia Al Ghul Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot of Lois/Chloe. However, I have said previously that Lois will pop up multiple times this season and knowing now that she's in on everything means that these interactions won't be flashbacks, or "what if" scenarios. So hopefully that makes up for the lack of Lois in next week's episode I'm so excited for you to see the rest of the episodes. Thanks so much for reviewing it, Brady! I know you said you were going to be busy and might not be able to read until the end of the week so it means a lot that you took time out of your day to get it reviewed/read as soon as it aired. You're the bomb diggety. *hugs you*

MAGGIE Q!!!!!!!!! That is all... Seriously, can't wait to see these two appear, love the fact the Gotham PD will be explored a bit more beyond just Commissioner Gordon. With the cancellation of Trinity freeing up Maggie from her planned role as "Cheshire", given her current role on "Stalker", she seems a perfect fit for both the character and the show. Thanks for the support! Ellen's going to be a new favourite of mine to write, for sure. I think the dynamic between her and Gordon is actually going to add a lot to this back half of the season, especially for what's planned in the last two episodes. YES! I absolutely loved "The Batman" when I was younger, and was always disappointed that Ellen and Ethan weren't as involved in later seasons if I'm remembering correctly. It's going to be interesting to see what you pull from their original characters, if any at all, as well as "The Batman" series - BATMAN VS DRACULA PERHAPS? It's also great that we're going to be diving into the GCPD beyond what we've seen through Gordon. I'm wondering if Ellen and Ethan will just be a minuscule version of the vigilante argument that the rest of the department is undergoing. It all has me interested! Would love to see some Ellen/Gordon arguments. Awesome spoilers, Jack! *cough*yesClayface*cough* "Batman VS Dracula" HAHAHA. I would make a reference to Buffy the Vampire Slayer right now but you haven't watched it -.- Yeah, this wasn't planned from the beginning of the season but I reached a point going into this back half where it called for the introducion of some new characters. The first, of course, was Kitrina Falcone -- who will be a side-character within Selina's storyline -- and now, in looking at Gordon and his direction for the season it was necessary to bring someone in. I knew I wanted "Ellen Yindell" from The Dark Knight Returns involved at some point in the show, and then when I remembered "Ellen Yin" from The Batman, and her being inspired by the character, I decided to shift gears and go with her instead. Bringing in Ethan is just an added bonus, and I think he definitely has more of an arc going into this back half than Ellen, who's story is more ongoing and develops at a slower pace. Thanks for the support, man! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the new episodes *hugs*

Just In: Maggie Q and Alfred Enoch Book Pivotal Roles As DC Comics' Ellen Yin and Ethan Bennett! Looks like there will be some rivalry on the police force! VSGuide can announce that Maggie Q ("Nikita") and Alfred Enoch ("How To Get Away With Murder") have been cast in what producers are calling pivotal roles. Set to portray DC Comics' Ellen Yin and Ethan Bennett -- characters from the hit 2004 animated series, "The Batman" -- actress Maggie Q and actor Alfred Enoch are signed on for "multiple episodes" in the back half of the season. The characters are said to make their first appearance in episode thirteen, titled "DNA", where they transfer over from Metropolis to do some good in the city after the events of the mid-season finale ["Sacrifice"].
When asked about the decision to bring these two characters into the show, executive producer and series creator, Jack Malone, told VSGuide, "It felt necessary to bring in some supporting characters to enhance an aspect of our story that's otherwise been neglected of late which is the law." With Gordon representing the police force in his pro-Batman ways, Yin is said to be very anti-vigilante, and especially anti-Batman. "There's going to be an interesting dynamic between Yin and Gordon. While Gordon is trying to show her that nothing is as black and white as she makes it out to be, Yin is trying to show Gordon just how destructive these vigilantes have been to the city and that no one has to go outside of the law to find justice." Caught in the middle is 'How To Get Away With Murder' star, Alfred Enoch, whose character is a voice of reason and partner to Yin. "Ethan [Bennett] calls it as he sees it and his opinions on the vigilantes of Gotham hasn't exactly formed to an absolute yet," Malone said of the yet-to-be-introduced character, "He's incredibly youthful, kind-hearted and open minded and as a result of that we'll see him torn between right and wrong -- between Gordon and Yin."
However, the question on everyone's mind is: Is Ethan Bennett going to become Clayface? In the animated series, Ethan went on to become DC Comics' Clayface at the end of it's debut season, and it's been revealed that the villain will make their first appearance in the same episode that introduces Yin and Bennett. Despite this, producers told VSGuide that Ethan is not Clayface but that he will play a role in the storyline. "There is a distinct plan for Ethan, and Yin, and they will become larger parts of this ongoing story. However, our Clayface in [episode thirteen] is a bit of a surprise so I can't tell you much about his appearance yet," Malone cleared up, continuing by saying the surprise in store is the reason behind no official casting for the DC Comics' baddie being made yet.
So, what are your thoughts on this casting news? Are you excited to see these characters come to life on Watchtower?

I'm so nervous about airing new episodes after what feels like almost a complete year of being on hiatus. This season has been a hard one to produce in comparison to the previous two, but the exciting thing is that all of 3A will have been wrapped up in just a few weeks time. I tried writing a massive post, including episode descriptions and title cards, but the browser crashed half-way through so instead I'll just reveal the return date: Watchtower Season Three Continues on 9th February, 2015.
So, mark your calenders. Get excited. And prepare for some new spoilers and posts about the episodes to come in this thread. Hoping to release a preview scene, maybe some written trailers, and little articles here and there. It will be back for only FOUR episodes, which conclude the first half of the season. There will be a small break following episode eleven, and then the show will return for a MAJOR three-episode arc featuring the return of Selina Kyle. Hopefully episodes 15 through to 22 will air with no breaks and finish out the year.

So when are we getting the rest of season 3A? Episodes 8, 9, and 11 of 3A are complete. Chris has almost finished up with his episode ("Toxic"). Episode 12 is complete of 3B, and work has started on 13 as of today. Looking at a February release

I think I'm just excited for more female friendships on the show and female dynamics on the show and definitely broaden Alisha's interactions this sequence. It's exciting to see her branch out and engage with other characters. I hope Kelsey isn't someone who lost a person they loved and took time off to cope with it and THAT is her way to "help Alisha with what she's been through." I'm so nervous that it is. Nervous/Excited.

I am beyond excited about the increase of episodes! I hope it's indicative of a larger, over-arcing storyline for the sequence.
From the spoilers we have so far it would appear that there might be some development between Robbie and Alisha. I think the really cool thing about his side of this hot mess is that his feelings are genuine and that made him a really likeable aspect of the previous sequence and I certainly didn't hold many conflicted feelings towards him or distrust of him. I think the power was very much in Alisha's hands to be like, "no, I don't want this." So there's a lot of potential in expanding and growing the character of Robbie this season.
I know Alex talked about the possibility of dying in the discussion thread but I wanted to mention it here. I think it would be heartbreaking to lose David. The ramifications of that kind of tragedy within this show would be an interesting drive for the sequence but I think the event in and of itself was tragic enough. I feel like there's more story to tell with him, and the Alisha/David dynamic certainly isn't over. There's potential in exploring this conflict, and exploring David outside of this relationship and see where he goes from here. I certainly don't think death would be a cop out but it's not the best route - story wise - to take because of how heightened the conflict became in the finale. So I hope there's more of him in season four, and if the premiere is his last episode it better be a hell of a good send off because he's my absolute favourite character right now.
I feel like this sequence might be getting back to its roots in a way with the Alisha and Alex friendship. I'm excited to see that again and see that become a primary focus. It's been a while, and judging by the spoilers there's a lot coming up for those two? Ugh. I'm just so excited for this new sequence to start, man. Woooooo!

LANA!!! Since the news of the "Trinity" reboot, and my own inclusion of her in M;SCU 1x02 for a cameo, I've really been missing Lana Lang something awful, and the fact that there hasn't been any real updates on what's happening with "Trinity" for over a year has been quite sad, so this news is UTTERLY BRILLIANT and most welcome to my ears! Hmm, the 'first threat', which isn't Emil? So, to my mind, it's either the return of Amanda and whatever plan she ultimately has, or something to do with the gangs of Gotham... interesting, if things come full circle again Chris and I have been in a lot of talks about the character of Lana Lang appearing on Watchtower, and a lot of things that I can't really talk about on here yet. But it's just great to be able to thread her into these two episodes and it's definitely going to be something that, without her, wouldn't be the same. As for your speculation, you're definitely onto something...

Jack Malone.......I AM DYING You don't know how excited I am about these damn spoilers!!! Thank You for bringing her back!!! I love me some Lana Lang. And I really hope her and Chloe share some face to face time in these two episodes!!! And as for "Catgirl", I am excited to see her. But if you can bring Holly back I would be okay with that!!! Thanks for the response! Definitely been a long time coming having Lana Lang on the show. For what I've started planning for a possible fourth season, it's necessary for Lana to show up within these two episodes. You will definitely have a Chloe and Lana reunion! Introducing Kitrina Falcone is just an expansion of the universe. Coming into the writing process for "Thief", I realised there needed to be this kind of secondary character to Selina's storyline, and had I not *killed* Holly off in the season opener, it would have been her. However, she isn't a replacement and Holly still has her story to be told later this season which I think will involve a lot of pay off for her death. There was a reason behind it, and it's not all for nothing so definitely stay tuned on that

Just In: Kristin Kreuk Inks New Deal to Appear in Two Back to Back Episodes of "Watchtower!" Lana Lang is coming to Gotham! Or at least that's the impression we over at VSGuide have gotten since news broke that Smallville alum, Kristin Kreuk, would finally be surfacing on theVPN spin-off series, "Watchtower." Producers revealed the scoop earlier today, telling VSGuide that the timing has "never felt more right" and that Kreuk will make her first appearance in the sixteenth episode of the season, which just so happens to mark the fiftieth episode of the series!
"There was no way we could do the fiftieth episode without Kristin [Kreuk]," executive producer and series creator, Jack Malone told VSGuide, "despite her absence on the show, Lana Lang played a huge role in Chloe's life, and represents a huge part of her past that we're going to obviously explore [reaching] our fiftieth episode." However, it's not just the past Lana represents. Producers tell us that Kristin Kreuk's debut on Watchtower brings with it the necessary seeds to plant a huge storyline that is expected to be tackled in a potential fourth season of the show. "We're starting to carve out the story for next season, and Kristin [Kreuk] helps shape that in the two episodes we have her for [in season three]."
What could that story be? "It has something to do with the very first threat we established on the show and will be what our surviving characters of this season will be going up against next year." For those who are guessing Emil Hamilton (Alessandro Juliani), you couldn't be more wrong! "We've told [Emil's] story and we're satisfied at where we ended it. It's not him."
Kristin Kreuk will be featured in episodes 16 and 17, titled "Countdown" and "Wanted." What do you think brings her to Gotham? Any guesses at what this potential-fourth-season threat might be? Excited for Chloe and Lana to reunite? Sound off below!

Exclusive: Chloe Grace Moretz Booked To Play DC Comics' 'Kitrina Falcone!'
Step aside, Holly -- there's a new sidekick in town! Chloe Grace Moretz ("Kickass") has been booked to play DC Comics' character, Kitrina Falcone, who - in the comics - becomes Catwoman's sidekick known as Kittyhawk and/or Catgirl! The actress has confirmed to VSGuide that she will be debut in a 2015 episode that also features the return of Eliza Dushku's Selina Kyle. Desperate to find out more information on this breaking news, VSGuide took to the producers who were more than willing to shed some light on this scoop!
"Chloe [Grace Moretz] joins the cast in our twelfth episode of the season, and will share some history with Selina," Malone told of the character's introduction, "She is playing Kitrina Falcone; a rebellious teen that just so happened to escape the attack on crime families launched by The Joker in [season two] and now lays low in Gotham City under a number of false aliases." Malone continued in telling VSGuide that the character will be integrated rather quickly into the story through her connections to the Falcone crime family - being the niece of Mario Falcone - along with the history she shares with Selina. While producers have told us she is not a fill-in for the recently deceased Holly Robinson - of whom you will see in a handful of episodes this season - she will play a similar role in Selina Kyle's life when Eliza Dushku reprises her role in 2015. As for her persona as Catgirl, producers remain hush-hush (pun intended).
What are your thoughts on the casting news? Sound off below!

And as for Lois, I am excited for her to finally make a solid appearance. I love the way you write for her. Although its only been once, I enjoy it. And im going to petition for you to have her be a Season 4 regular . Because I would be down for Lois and Chloe kicking ass together. There are so many characters I want for Season Four and so many different people I want to either bring back or introduce. I think the cast for that season will be very interesting - both regular and recurring. As for Lois, she's got a hand full of episodes this season, and I know one or two I want to bring her in for when it comes to discussions about the fourth season. Like I said, though, the first episode back will definitely be everything you want and more. I promise! I've said a lot with this show that there isn't a real "team" and by that I mean this show is going to eventually introduce The Justice League and have them formed in that sense. Over the past two seasons we've seen a very shattered and struggling team, and "War" (season two) was very much responsible for shattering the idea of the JLA getting together anytime soon and was what brought them together and ripped them further apart. "Sacrifice" (mid-season finale) is what will start to repair it. You'll see at least two members step back into the picture, maybe even a third, and I'm starting to notice the opportunity to finally tell the story of the JLA coming together in as complete a form as it possibly could be within the Smallville/Trinity/Watchtower/M:SCU universe. So I'll say that

what's really exciting is that Selina is back for the first three episodes after "Sacrifice" so there's a LOT of story to tell there. SELINA! SELINA! SELINA!. I'm uber excited to finally tell Selina's story for this season. I think she's a huge part of the reason why I was more excited to write the back half of the season than the first half. It's about damn time someone avenged the death of Holly Robinson, and it's also about damn time someone figured out who the man behind the mask is and so Selina is the perfect candidate to achieve both of those. I'm still not confident the season will be done next year. I'm hoping it will be because this back half is a lot more exciting for me to write than the first, and so that should spur a lot of inspiration, but I've got a course that needs to be done throughout the entire year and so balancing that between doing this, as well as life outside of college and writing... well it's going to be a trial and error thing, I guess. Definitely going to have the first 4 episodes air in either late January or early February 2015 so that's something! Zatanna has been a lot of fun to write. One of the storylines that never really paid off at the end of the second season was the loss of Bart. That season featured a lot of big departures and I know some thought I was a bit too trigger happy when it came to saying goodbye to characters (especially those from the mythology of the comic books) but there was a lot of purpose behind it and Zatanna - in this next run - is a huge example of it. The climax to her storyline is in "Control" and the eventual conclusion of it all is in "Sacrifice" where we will be dealing with themes of redemption and bringing her back for what I think is her last appearance of the season. The hard thing about writing fight scenes involving Doomsday (without Superman) is that it really is a "blink and its over" kind of thing because of his strength in comparison to others. That said, there's a hell of a lot more going on than the 30 second fight scene in the Smallville S8 finale. You will get to see him cause a lot of chaos and destruction. He will be peppered a little bit throughout the next run and so it's not all squashed into one episode. In the mid-season finale, you'll get to see the heroes team up against him, and there's a few creative ways of making fights last longer whilst maintaining logic. One of my more favourite scenes to write in the mid-finale was when Nightwing takes on Doomsday. I think that should satisfy you a lot more than Clark vs Doomsday in Smallville. The Riddler isn't a huge part of this season, or even the episode he is featured in. But the exciting thing is that he's now fully established into the show after his debut and I definitely want to revisit him later on in the series. I hope he lives up to your love of the character! I really can't wait to write that episode. It's the only one in the season that isn't completely fleshed out yet and so much stuff is happening before and after it that I can't really flesh it out until I've reached the episode before it and had that one written. But he's definitely the character that can instigate what needs to happen for some of our characters - development wise - and so I knew straight away that "Film Freak" was joining the season. Definitely interested in crossing that bridge when we get to it, man! Thanks so much for all the feedback

Well I am excited about the Riddler.... BUT lets get back to the nitty gritty. Jack Malone, Im itching for a Lois spoiler. Anything brewing for our favorite reporter. And also....since the home-team is getting together in the mid-season finale, will we see that group in Season 3B? Or a different variation is going to pop up? Ooh, it was nice coming back after Christmas to find some cool questions from you! I hope you had a great Xmas, Karl! I think it's no lie that Lois will be peppered throughout this season. Her next episode is "Hope" and we're going to learn a lot from just one small moment. It's going to really make her return full circle and clear things up a little better for questions such as: why did she come to Gotham? How did she learn about Chloe's death? All of these things come to light in an unspoken way. She will also, of course, be involved in the 50th episode of Watchtower ("Countdown"). But I think what you've been wanting to see since the very beginning of the series is something that you may find in the first episode back for 2015. As for the team, it won't be so much about creating a fully fledged "home-team" as you call it who will be back and formed after the mid-season finale, so much as it will establish WHO is willing to come and fight for Gotham, and fight alongside Chloe and her friends. As we've seen with Zatanna this season, she has been shaken by Bart's death and the events of "War" (season two) and that's a huge reason why a team isn't formed now and why the JLA aren't standing side-by-side with Chloe and the others in Gotham. So this will be a confirmation of who is willing to join her when she needs to call for some back-up. After the mid-season finale, we're going to see less superheroes and more peeling back of this mystery for the season. It's time to look at Hush, and who could be under the mask, and what's really exciting is that Selina is back for the first three episodes after "Sacrifice" so there's a LOT of story to tell there.

Here is what I think could maybe, meh..: So as mentioned everyone seems to think it's going to have something to do with the Malcolm Merlyn and the Lazarus pit, which seems to be logical..
Everyone also seems to think that Laurel will get more screen time until Oliver's return, but producers have revealed that the show will be revolved more around Roy and his taking command of team Arrow and his struggle with leadership. I don't think Roy is in any position to lead. Marc Guggenheim just said that its not Laurel-centric in the sense that no one else will be featured or focused on and that there is a lot of Team Arrow and Roy stuff involved, citing that Colton Haynes has some of his biggest moments in this next run. They released pictures of Roy and Laurel in costume together which I thought was cool so there could be a team up involved there. But I don't see Roy ordering Diggle and Felicity around. I think out of the three, Roy will be wanting to keep the mission alive more. Diggle could turn to his family, and Felicity has Ray. It's exciting, though, just trying to think what's going to happen now that Oliver is "dead".

In reply to Karl (DO NOT OPEN IF YOU HAVE NOT CAUGHT UP ON ARROW, OBVIOUSLY): Regarding the next run of episodes, they have revealed that they will focus on Laurel and her evolution into donning the costume and taking the name The Black Canary. Oliver is rumored to have no involvement in these next three episodes, and if he does it will probably be very little.
Also, a lot of people are saying Malcolm will find Oliver on the mountain and somehow throw him in the Lazarus Pit. But who knows!
One of the things they've said is that Oliver will feature in the flashback part of the story, and Stephen has confirmed that he is in every episode of the season and so we'll still see developments there. I think he'll be back for "Canaries." But yeah, this next arc is definitely going to feature lots of Laurel, and lots of Team Arrow without The Arrow. I think we'll also be getting a lot of Ray Palmer too, now that he seems to be coming into his own as "Atom" just as Arrow is gone. I don't think it was an accident they saved that for the same episode that Oliver is killed and won't be coming back (anytime soon) you know? So we'll see.

The Riddler? YAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Super excited that you are bringing him in. And knowing you Jack, Riddler is going to be top notch!!! You are excellent at writing these characters Aw, thanks man. I really appreciate that. I think for any hints on his role in the episode, look at his opening scene in the "Hush" comic books. I've tried to stay as true to that introduction as possible
