If you are interested in writing an episode for The Void, then here is the place to start. All you need to do is pitch the episode here. Nothing too complex or anything, just a couple of lines, a paragraph or two at most. For example: Allan Tolliver, newly sentenced, arrives at Ptolomaea Prison late and is quickly thrown into a cell with bunkmate Henry James. As the guards yell "Light's out", they prepare to sleep. However, Allan notices the cell door is open, and that the rest of the prison seems to be empty... What he steps into is nothing short of Hell...Once you have done so, Amin and myself will discuss it and tell you whether or not it has been green-lit. Once you have the greenlight, you write...

Poor Ryan, your life is so bad. Having to to decide: where should I buy coffee for the crap shack?

This show interested me from the pitch so I have to do this. Okay. Paige Duncan is a young woman who appears to see ghosts. Her friends worried about her health advise her to check herself into to a psychiatric hospital. Once she has done so, Paige becomes worried as she occasionally experiences "flashes" where she views the unusual hospital as nothing more than a decrepit, old empty building...

Ashanti Williams is a young woman who recently bought a house. As She explores it she begins seeing something wrong in the mirrors. Something alien. Soon her behavior starts to change as she comes more and more depressed. She finds a room behind one the mirrors and what she discovers shatters her life...

Cyclopscars, I'm sad to inform you that your idea has not been greenlit. The idea is too similar to Lights Out, and to a certain extent, Connor J. J's idea as well.

I was a huge fan of this pitch, and rooted for it all the way. Great idea, Carey. And I'm not saying this to suck up so you'll say yes to my pitch. HAHA! I truly mean it. And now onto my pitch: Kelsey Gauge, the only heir to her great Aunt Molly's estate, inherits it all, including her greatest nightmare, Ragtag Sally, a creepy, child-size porcelain doll, a file folder, and a stack of cassette tapes with a warning, "Don't look her in the eyes". What horrors lie behind the glass eyes? And can Kelsey unravel the mystery before it's too late and succumbs to Sally's darkness?Edit: I loved MJ's pitch icon so i decided to add one for my pitch.

And may I add the fact that you sent shivers up my spine just from that description. I believe that's a very good sign, Darrin. Besides, possessed dolls are naturally creepy.

Quick question, gentlemen. Do you need to see an outline, before the script, or just the script once written?

We recommend sending us an outline, but it's not necessary. So your choice really.

Okay, I just love the idea of "The Void," and had to try my hand at pitching an episode. So, here's what I came up with --
A 14-year old boy named Wes Parker's life is turned upside down when hanging out with friends on the outskirts of town result in him collapsing into an underground cave. Instantly knocked unconscious, he awakens to discover his friends, and family are ten years older, but he hasn't aged a day. In an attempt to get back to his life, Wes begins seeing violent, deranged images that may be connected to whatever happened to him 10 years ago.

Like Darrin, this it totally not an attempt to kiss butt... buuuut, THIS WAS SUCH A COOL IDEA. And I thought it would be cool to be a part of, sooooo...
Rose Blevins, a high-school senior, was quite comfortable with her little brother, Henry, having an imaginary friend, after all, she had had one when she was little and turned out fine. Tom, Rose and Henry's brother, was a little worried about him talking to nothing all the time, but his sister wasn't. Rose picked up Henry's clothes and headed to his room; the door was closed, as usual. She opened it just in time to see a checker piece move across the board... By itself.
