Mortals blame us for what isn’t our fault and that sucks. But you know what. If we want to make any progress for our rights we need to make a stand and not just dance around casting little love spells.
History
In the year 2018, witches, seers and psychics became exposed to the world after a magical, addictive, dangerous drug became widely popular among the public. Overdoses from the drug caused thousands of death across the globe creating a strong prejudice against the magical community before anything about them was publicly disclosed.
Across the globe rights for “Advanced citizens’ or the less acceptable term “abnormals” vary. In some countries the battles between the magical and nonmagical have escalated into full blown wars. In the U.S. and U.K. the rights for “Advanced citizens’ are below humans but they still have most basic rights and are legally unable to discriminated against for their nature. A lot of types of magic are deemed illegal even for ‘good’ uses. However, witch-hunters still exist and most witches have no means of protection against them for fear of damaging their public image further.
Series Overview
The series centres of a group of three Advanced Citizens who decide to keep their identities a secret from the world around them. Cath Simmonds, a witch, Joel Hart, a Healer and Morgan Tachman, an aurite live in Harkhan, a district of Windark. Windark's a major city situated on one of the biggest magic convergences in America but it’s also one of the most discriminative places towards Advanced Citizens. They try to fight for their rights whilst keeping their identities hidden from those around them. However, this may be all thrown out of balance when Joel falls for a passing witch-hunter, Brendan Moore, Cath accidentally reveals her true identity to her boss and Morgan is distracted trying to find her missing sister.
Meanwhile the country itself is torn between supporting Advanced Citizens and even expelling them from the nation completely. The current president, Howard Burns, is facing disapproval for his Abnormal Rights campaign from both his political party and the country. The rival party leader, looks set to win the upcoming election with his promise to strip every single right from Abnormals and throw them out of the country.

Production Notes
In the show the species are shown are not the only ones and as well as already known supernatural creatures, I will be creating some of my own (e.g. aurites just about) to appear. However, no vampires, werewolves or zombies etc. are to appear as I would like to keep this show as supernatural as possible without bordering onto horror. Aditionally each season the human point of view will change. This season it's the government but next season I plan for it to
be citizens of a district rocked by the aftermath of this season.
At the moment, this pitch is currently unfinished and I am just tweaking at the details. Hope you like what I have so far.
