The series begins with Jessica "Jess" Day (played by Zooey Deschanel), a quirky, bubbly woman in her late twenties who teaches at a local Los Angeles elementary school. Jess begins looking for a new place to live after catching her boyfriend cheating on her. Seeing an ad for a new roommate on Craigslist, she moves in with three young men: Nick, Schmidt, and Coach. Very shortly after her move, Coach moves out, and is replaced by Winston, another young man who had previously lived in the apartment with Nick and Schmidt.

Ugh, I love this show so much. It is so hilarious, I actually find myself cracking up with each episode, except for the first couple, but I'll get to that in a sec. Anyways, I love all these characters, and in the first couple of episodes, Jess seems like a very week character, and then she becomes tolerable, and now I just love her. Anyways, just make it through the first three or four episodes, AND YOU'LL BE SOLD. I love it, and recommend. XD

I was never into comedy series. I try to stay clear of them because I find a lot of them goofy, and stupid, but never actually funny. But, recently, I got into Parks and Recreation, thanks to Jack, and a few other comedies. I had to watch the pilot episode of Arrested Development for one of my TV Production classes, and I found it hilarious!
So, I might be opening up to comedy a lot more. That being said, I'll try this show out pretty soon.

As a a person who used to hate hate ALL comedies (now i just hate most ha ) i was really suprised when i accidentally came across this and loved it! Starting with the pilot I've just found this show really funny and the characters are amazing. I've become addicted to this show! Since this show, I've learned to not judge a show by it's genre and now I love so many more comedies (and science fiction but thats another story)
