Really looking forward to this. I love The X-Men... and I think I'm probably the biggest Mystique-fan there is, so I love that you're giving her a big role (ugh, hated what they did to her in The Last Stand...). And may I say your art for Mystique in the "Cast" section is very well done, actually looks like she has blue skin and yellow/green eyes.

I tried really hard to make it look natural....and it's very hard to get blue skin, yellow eyes, and bright red hair to look natural. Mystique is one of my favorites and I DEFINITELY want to make sure we do her justice... especially since the movies/cartoons seem so dead set on making her someone's lackey and never the perfectly capable solo act/team leader that she is. </rant> |

We're so glad that you guys are excited for this to start! We can't wait to get it up and airing! We'll be giving regular updates and spoilers, interviews, etc. as well to keep you guys on your toes while we finish up the first half of the season.

I ask that everyone excuses the errors I made in the cast list. I forgot to change the names and the descriptions when I copied and pasted them onto the official cast list posts and...uhh...some of them were the same as the one above them, etc. But I BELIEVE it has all been fixed now. If you catch any other errors, please let me know. XD
It was like, 6 AM when I did those and I had yet to sleep...so >.>

Melanie really fascinates me. I'm excited to see more of her friendship with MJ, just to see if that spark I saw between them (on a more romantic level) was just a one-time thing. I think once their friendship is explored throughout the series I'll have a more definate idea if the two work as a "more than friends" couple or not. I think they've got an awesome friendship with just that something extra, so I'll have to wait until more episodes air until I know whether or not there really is something there. So I'm excited about that relationship.
I also would like to see some of her past, if possible. Peter Parker had that whole "With great power comes great responsibility" thing when his uncle passed away, and that motivated him. I'd like to see how far Melanie's roots go back and what pushed her into the business. As for where she's headed ... I'm not sure yet. I like her attitude, and I like who she is as a character, she's got a lot of spunk, so maybe as the season progresses, it would be fun to see other layers if she gets put in a situation that brings that down and we get straight to the core of her character. I think that would be fun. Not that she's putting on the act of having an attitude or having spunk, but I think it would be fun to explore other aspects of her as the season progresses.
Much like the character of Lois Lane (I cringe mentioning her) on Smallville. She was the tough character that could always hold her own, but over the course of the series, we learned she had a softer side, and she despite her strength she's been looking for love, looking for a purpose, and not having that has brought her down. So maybe Melanie is struggling with her feelings, or what she really wants and its weighing her spirit down, opening her up to express different emotions. I don't know, I just think that's something that sounds interesting.
Again, I love Melanie. She pretty much convinced me she's a BAMF in just one episode of The Outcasts, so, I'm sold! Haha. xD

Pretty much everything Jack said. Melanie is one damn good character and seeing deeper layers of her as well as exploring the friendship with MJ would be great. Also, Mystique. Mystique is awesome and would be great to see her character in depth as well.

With MJ, I'm not too sure yet. I think, primarily, I'd like to see her defy her father and really prove to him that she's not the worthless trash that he treats her like. I think she needs to stand up for herself when she's around him and tell him to back off. It would be kind of cool if she moved in with Aunt May and Melanie. But again, I'm not too sure about where I'd like to see MJ go, but I trust you have something amazing planned for her! xD

I have been the primary voice for MJ, if not at least the consultant on how she is to be played for quite some time. And the idea of her standing up to her father has been what I have played with in my head. It has yet to make a solid stance therein, but it is there. I cannot say where she is going as of late, but rest assured, if you push a red head enough times, she is going to have a thing or two to say about it. :3

When I was little, well, more like my teen years, I always wanted MJ, when captured by the green goblin, to be all like: "B*tch! Get your damn dirty hands off my hot self!" Pull out a shank and stab him with it, when at a safe distance from the ground, of course. With enough times spent getting captured, she would know the whole deal like the back of her hand. XD
