Hello everyone!
I just wanted to post in here so that everyone would know that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth or died. Senior year of college is a tough one let me tell you, so I haven't had too much time to dedicate to Bad Wolf. This will change over Christmas break and hopefully I will be able to get production up and running at a good pace. Thanks to everyone who has been reading my series and I hope to not keep you waiting!

REVIEW: Shadows of the Past[/u]
Alright, I'm going into this with exactly NO knowledge of Doctor Who, so bare with me here. I'm doing the review as a read, so be prepared for the possibility of side comments.
The teaser was a little overwhelming because of my lack of knowledge, but in general I really liked it. I feel like it was handled really well and the method of flashbacks and such that you chose to use were great. Also, I really love the description you've got, not just in the teaser but from what I've read out of Act One as well. It's not over-done, but it's still enough to paint a pretty good picture in our heads. It's not distracting at all.
Wooow. I gotta say, this Major dude is on my nerves. Also, props for the "Doctor Who" joke in there. I actually snickered.
There are few format oopsies and some punctuations issues here and there but they aren't enough to distract me from the script. Just thought I'd point them out though.
Oh, wow. I wouldn't want to stand in THOSE shadows. Poor soldier dudes, that's gotta suck. On to Act Two we go!!
I love Rose's attitude. She doesn't take anyone's shit, I like that. Plus she's got a little snark about her and just kind of a badass.
HAH. Take that stupid Major dude. Serves you right for being such a bastard. I'm really liking Ten II, too. He's pretty cool his own self.
I feel like there could have been more done to up the tension when the darkness was starting to consume the room, but I'm not gonna dwell on it. Definitely only a minor thing when the rest of it is so well-written.
Aww man, poor Brian. These little Vashta Nerada bastards are awful.
I feel bad for Rose and Ten II. The way you've got the emotion going between them is great, you can definitely feel it. You can feel how hard it is for them, and how awkward. Great job on that. And aww, the scene between them in the control room. That was adorable, not gonna lie. I like how this thing between them is playing out through this episode. I love the both of them already.
I think the some of next scenes, like the aftermath when the lights turn back on, and in the scene with Rose and her mother, was a little too novel-y. It threw me off a little bit. Not bad, I just felt like there was a little more "tell" than "show.
The final scenes of the episode were great. I feel like I should have seen the ending coming, but I definitely didn't. I'm glad that she chose to go with him in the end, and I know there are some epic adventures ahead. Their chemistry is great, and they're both really likable characters -- but, I gotta admit, Rose is my favorite of the two. Also, I feel like I need to watch Doctor Who now. Dammit, Kerry.
All in all, there were a few errors and some things that stood out to me but when it all comes down to it, this was a fantastic first episode and I really enjoyed it despite my lack of knowledge for anything Doctor Who besides the things you've shown me or that I've seen around the internet. I'll definitely be following the rest of this series, and I hope to catch up before the show returns! I give this a solid rating of 10/10. Great work!

Response to Aimee's Review of "Shadows of the Past"
I want to start by saying I am so glad you finally found time to read the pilot! I m also extremely glad that you enjoyed the episode even though you don't have any background with Doctor Who ( also if this gets you to watch it I'd be so happy).
I'm glad the flash backs in the teaser worked for you, I actually went back and selected cute moments from the show that I liked to put in there. It is a relief also that there isn't too much description.
From your review everything I wanted you to feel about the characters worked out! I wanted you to hate the Major and I wanted people to feel sorry for Brian and the soldiers. Dang that Major for his stupidity.
I also can't tell you enough how great it is that Rose id your favorite character. I wanted people to like Ten II but the most important character in this episode was Rose.
The fact you think their chemistry works and can feel their tension even though you don't watch the show makes me so happy! All this flattery is going to go to my head if you aren't careful XD.
I'll definitely work on trying to not be too much like a novel, I will have to go back a read to see what you mean, but I will keep it in mind for sure.
I am continually shocked that people don't suspect the ending. I thought it would be extremely obvious, but I'm glad it wasn't boring!
I hope you enjoy the rest of the series my friend and thank you for you lovely review and high rating!

REVIEW: Taboo
Alright! Finally settling down to read episode two. Again, bare with me because I still know little to knowing of Doctor Who so I expect to get confused once or twice, though it won't be your fault at all. XD So I say something or point out something that seems totally ridiculous, then you know why.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say that I love the thing about the Beatles in the teaser. Definitely pulled a grin out of me with that one, Kerry. Still loving their chemistry and their banter, it's one of my favorite things about this show so far.
Omg, the fashion police joke. I really love Rose XD The culture on this planet is kind of neat, from what we get to see in Act One. The whole telepaths in purple thing. Like it's simple, but still pretty cool. Wasn't expecting the sacrifice thing -- though I feel like I should have. Regardless, these people are nuts. Or, well, some of them XD This is gonna be interesting to watch play out.
You can understand both of their stances on whether to kill Ayune or not, and I love the tension that their disagreement on it is bringing in. I gotta side with John though, that bitch doesn't deserve to live. Annnd uh oh, there goes Rose.
I like the set-up for the next act that you've done in this one. John's change of mind, then his return to his original stance when he finds out they've taken Rose. Them preparing and moving in on the temple, getting ready to strike. I also loved the scene between Rose and Ayune, like, Rose's attitude through it. Actually, I love Rose in pretty much every scene. Definitely my favorite character, Kerry. XD
Not gonna lie, Ayune reminds me of that cult leader chick, Christabella or whatever her name was (it's been a while) from the Silent Hill movie. And I gotta say, I wasn't expecting that turn of events. That was really clever, how it turned out she WANTED to be stabbed and that the vision wasn't of her DYING from the stabbing. Nice job with that.
That prophecy thing has got me worried that you're going to do something terrible and awful that I'm going to have to hurt you for. Or hurt someone you love for. -eyes the cast of Outcasts- But all in all, I want to say that I really loved this episode and I think I might have enjoyed this episode more than the first. There were a few typos and some weird formatting things that probably weren't your fault because Final Draft does it to me all the time too, but other than that, this episode was pretty great. I can't wait to read the next one!
I give this episode a 10/10. Keep up the awesome work, Kerry!

Response to Aimee's Review of Taboo
We are totally going to fix this whole Aimee hasn't seen Doctor Who issue in the next few days. That way you can know why the show is called Bad Wolf as well as love one of my favorite series.
I am so glad people think my jokes are funny. Doctor Who is so funny so I really try to capture the heart of its humor, and I'm usually terrified that it is funnier than I can hope to be.
I'm glad you appreciate the culture, I love seeing the weird and different things in Sci-fi and I wanted to do that without it being so complex that it confuses people. To be fair you read this at like 4 am so not seeing something coming is entirely plausible. However, I do appreciate that I'm not THAT predictable.
Oh the tension in this episode! I love seeing them get along just as much as I love seeing Rose and John argue, they're so much fun to me. XD agreeing with John isn't exactly WRONG per-se. However, if Rose can defend a Dalek then she can defend this woman...you will get that reference after Season 1 of Doctor Who not to worry.
*jumps for joy* I'm soo glad that you like Rose!! Rose is my favorite and I'm so glad you're enjoying her!
I haven't seen Silent Hill, but I trust you there. Alot of inspiration for Ayune was the actress selected herself. Helena Bonham Carter was somebody I really wanted to use and imaging her was a big part of breathing life into Ayune's character. *bows* I liked my twist where she wanted to be stabbed it made me really happy and I think it set it aside from things that are typical.
You can't hurt my Outcasts loves! *hiss* Or I will have to be even more drastic! But yes the prophecy is soo coming back later on in the season. I can't wait to see the reactions. I'm surprised you liked this episode more than the first, you are the only person to tell me that! Everyone is different though.
Thank you so much for reading AND giving me a good review!

hey there!
I've just read the first episode, "Shadows of the past". And I really liked it. I always wanted someone to imagine what would happen to Rose and Ten II (as you call him) after the Doctor left them...
And I like what you've done, you respected the characters the way they behave. I like the jokes too, it was like I was watching another episode of the original series!
Rose is distant and she's right, The Doctor didn't give her the choice, he left his clone there counting on her to take care of him... Eventually, they are both victims of fate... But I didn't expect that, I thought she'd help him until the Tardis is ready. Finally, she can't let him go, even if he is not her Doctor....
Poor Bryan, first episode, and someone died already... It was so fast, the Vashta Neradas were always so cruel.
really well done!

It's been almost a month since the last time I came here to read some of your great episodes. I hate university sometimes... It takes all my time... But finally, I've read them all, and I'm very impressed! You did a great job! I liked that Rose has actually a dopple-ganger in this universe even if her name is not Rose Tyler, and she's not Jackie and Pete's daughter. But it's really weird that Rose hadn't heard anything about Lianne Paul... Anyway, making them meeting is a good idea, it'll make everything more complicated for Rose and for the Doctor too... Maybe he'll consider his choice. I really like your work... There's only one thing missing!! The next episode!!!!!!

I love that there is still somebody out there enthusiastic about what I am writing! It really makes my day to see stuff like this so , thank you.
I will address what you said about Rose never hearing of Lianne and I should probably explain it a bit more somehow. It was due to the fact Rose has grown into a somewhat more mature adult with a very demanding job so she doesn't exactly know all the teenybopper stars...and Lianne is exactly like that.
For the longest time I couldn't point out Justin Bieber to anyone (sadly I now can), but if I had to point out somebody in One Direction? Forget it. That is the only reason why she didn't know.
As far as the next episode is concerned, I have gotten out of my writing slump very recently so the next one should be up soon and the rest of the season to follow.

Meeting Lianne actually kick starts the chain of events that begins the the next episode so it will be a really big deal. I can't wait to see how you react to it.
And don't worry I catch myself typing Doctor too.
