UPDATEA bright side to the latest changes to theVPN's lineup has been revealed, as The Outcasts, Bad Wolf, Bitten, and Little Red have found a new home: EVPtv. You can follow those shows on EVPtv as they either continue where the season left off, or re-air their episodes before going forward with new ones. From theVPN, to EVPtv... Welcome, and we wish you the best of luck!
With the news of three shows being removed from the lineup yesterday, I've come to report three more who will follow; Bitten, Edge of Vision and Little Red, developed by Darrin McCann, and M.J. Calder, respectively. The reason for why the shows were removed is similar to the reasons stated yesterday in relation to the first shows to go. We're sad to see these great shows leave the network, but we wish them, as well as the writers, good luck in future endeavors. Although theVPN's current lineup is a fraction of what it previously was, in terms of scale, we strive to make it whole again with all new programming. i suspect the Pilot Review Board will be very busy this year.
Yesterday saw the following changes to theVPN's 2013 lineup; the removal of Aimee Nicole's The Outcasts, as well as both Bad Wolf and the unaired The Remnants webisode series from Kerry Burkett. These changes were made after personal discussions between the network and both showrunners, who have also decided to resign from respective staff positions. Unfortunately, these virtual series' will not air any more episodes on this network, but I suspect they will have no trouble finding a new home.
More information will be provided if given.

whoa... big shock! I was really looking forward to seeing how Outcasts was going to play out, and Kerry had finally gotten back into the swing of writing on Bad Wolf. I hope we will hear from them again when they find themselves new homes.

Bad news guys, but VPN will bounce back I'm sure. MZP has had such dark days and we're close to 10 years standing - you'll survive.

I'm just glad Audition hasn't disappeared because I still haven't read the Christmas special! I was just about to start Bitten though, which really sucks. Still, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

Hahaha! Yeah, Tom, Audition it's going anywhere! XD It's a shame these shows couldn't finish their runs, though. But like you said, we shall only improve!

Pleasure my friend - us networks need to stick together more I think, that's one of my 2013 missions.

I was a little gutted when I heard the news guys, it's always a difficult transition. Not sure entirely what has happened obviously but it's never nice losing so many shows in so little time but I don't doubt you guys will stride on. You've obviously got a strong core team and community here and it helps having such a dedicated pair of admins at the helm and I don't doubt you guys will ride it out and come out the other side stronger than ever!

Thanks Daniel, and everyone! All of this support means the world to me, as well as the rest of the staff and community. We're going to have to work harder than ever before, but I have faith we'll get the job done.

The "EVPtv" in the post links to the site. I'll change the color so people won't be confused.

Wow, little shocked at this but I do hope in some way that once the smoke settles down over whatever happened, (they'll always be issues between directions of people/shows, BUT that is between those involved only), that everyone in the Virtual world can remain as positive and friendly as have been for years no matter which forum you are a member of and which other members you come across on any of the virtual sites.
All the best to EVPtv and their staff, as well as to VPN and let's see everyone move this forward into a positive way for everyone involved. Always sad to see some staff and shows go, but it also leaves doors ajar for opportunities for others to gently step inside and be noticed. There is plenty of talent out there for coverage on all virtual sites so let's try and make this into a positive for everyone, and every forum/site that is available to us all.
