So excited for the reboot! I love that you're going down the Cadmus route, and bringing on Lucas Luthor to add a bit more of that dynamic. I'm excited to see the relationship between Lana and Quentin develop from the very beginning, and see what's in store for Amanda Waller this season! Looking forward to it, guys!

Congrats on the reboot of the series. Given all that has happened it makes sense to start over and give the newest member of the brain trust to have the chance to develop the show from the beginning.
I am actually pitching this to Watchtower too, but any chance Red X showing up? In my mind, he would not be Jason Todd or one of the Robins, although I do have ideas about who he could be.

Enlisting the help of tech-wiz Quentin O'Neal (Jamie Bamber), the duo embark on a journey to end the corruption within the city. Meanwhile, when a young metahuman girl named Cynthia Reynolds (Alexandra Daddario) becomes the target of a rising, yet secret government-funded science initiative called Cadmus Labs, Lana finds herself in an all too familiar place, as she suspects Lex Luthor is somehow the man behind the curtain. It's too early to tell, as we've got season one all mapped out, but we're still in early production of season two. We're trying to really focus on getting season one ready to premiere by November, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility; especially when it comes to Kara.

you've mentioned a character called Ezra, how similar is it to the character to was supposed to be introduced in the original 'Trinity' run? Since the actor's name was not listed, I take it some one else has assumed that role? (yes Karl, i'm deliberately being ignorant )

Since the actor's name was not listed, I take it some one else has assumed that role? (yes Karl, i'm deliberately being ignorant ) Very Different. He is basically the one character who's Background will be revealed every time he appears.haha. The Original Ezra was pretty much going to replace Quentin as the information broker for the gang. While this Ezra is pretty much bolder and has a lot more secrets. And also in the original, Ezra was going to be best friends with Rachel Roth. But that was changed so he has a background with Cynthia instead

Trinity producers have stated that the first episode of the rebooted series is expected to air sometime between September and November, with the remainder of the season being released after production of season one has wrapped.
Executive producer Chris Davis said, "With this reboot, our main goal is to create a richer, better story. But we also want it to air without interruptions, which is why we'll be making sure we complete the season before having it go to air. If everything works out the way we all want, we should have two episodes completed each month, meaning the rest of the season should air sometime in January 2014. That's what we're hoping for."
Lets see if the writers can do it how they've planned! More insight on the first season will be coming soon, involving cast/crew interviews, as well as character & plot breakdown sheets explaining how things have changed from the original series moving forward with this reboot!

HOLY CRAP!!! Okay, first, to get it out of the way- the title cards are INSANE! Great job! Particularly, "Assassin" and "Cadmus"- they're my favourites. Moving on...
I wish I could be like, "this episode looks the most exciting" but I can't because they're all sounding so great. Love the storyline surrounding Lucas, in that he's going to be undercover, and even manipulated (?) into becoming a triple agent because lets face it, Waller is a badass mother-f*cker and there's no fooling her, in the long run. But god, I'm loving that idea that Lana has someone on the inside immediately. As well as that, building up to a Lana/Waller confrontation is really clever too- "Premonition" and "Cadmus" have this kind of finale feel to them that makes it all the more exciting because its only mid-season, so that's a definite A++ factor; it really feels like all the cards are off the table here, and you're just knuckling down to write stories/episodes that you really want to write rather than ones that are "necessary" to move plot forward or fill-in stuff. Seriously, it looks EPIC.
"Odyssey" makes me ask whether or not Cadmus will be the "source" of the city's corruption and/or Amanda Waller/Lex Luthor is? Whatever curtain they're hiding behind... Or will we see Lana and Quentin, and whoever they recruit in the mission ultimately, work to take on mobs in the city, gangs, random super-powered baddies throughout the series? Or is that a rare occurrence and its more like there's something at the heart of the city that's feeding into its corruption, like Cadmus, or Checkmate, etc.
"Assassin" mentions Cadmus has plans for the city. That seems HELLA AWESOME. They're a science based organisation, so I'm looking forward to see what the hell they're trying to transform, create, or you know, just plain all out destroy.
"Infiltration" appears to have two forces trying to bring Isis Foundation down- Waller, and this four-man gang, so it'd be interesting to see if they clash on their similar mission, and end up fighting each other? It would really suck for Lana, who would stop one threat, only to have Waller swoop in at the end and be like, "BOOM, GOTCHYA"! Hahaha. Then again, I'm assuming its more focused on Lucas proving his loyalties to Waller, making sure that she's aware he's in it for her, or even he's unbeknownst to it, and she's just using him as a camera, or a tracker, who knows... its exciting!
"Hackers" is one I seriously just want to read right now- I love Quentin, he's my favourite character, and I love this whole back-story stuff with Stuart, I wonder how much you've tweaked for the reboot? Plus VALENTINA mention in the description. I'm practically jizzing. Okay, I'll stop, that's too far. Maybe. BUT HOLY CRAP I LOVE HER! Hahaha. But I love that the show is going to appreciate the hard work of hacking, and not chuck a "Smallville" and palm it off to a 3 minute side story in an episode all about "Clois" and Oliver's new sidekick. So, I'm thankful for that. This episode looks like it'll be a favourite! XD
"Premonition"... you know I'm a sucker for "this is what the future could look like" episodes, and this has that vibe all over it. I take it this is where the gang will realise that its time to deal with Cadmus, prevent the future that Cynthia sees. I like the idea of seeing them, in the future, joining forces to fight Cadmus. I have to wonder though how it will resolve- will we see Lana/Quentin die, and Cynthia wake up back in present time? Or do they still stand a chance at stopping what's going on, but they still need to prevent it from happening in the present because of how many lives are taken in the process of whatever's been going on? Its interesting. ALREADY PUMPED!
"Cadmus" is of course, already epic, because its a threat that you've been building for 5 episodes now, and the episode is actually named after it, so that's like FUCKSHITBALLS scary for one. I'm sensing a "no way out" vibe in this episode, in that its going to probably end on a freakin' cliffhanger, and not everyone will get out of the base. Great. Just reading the descriptions, and I'm getting feels. You guys suck! But no, this looks like a great mid-season finale, and I wonder about the longevity of Cadmus Labs- whether its a one-season threat, or full-series one. Either way, Amanda and Lana finally meeting- HELL TO THE YES!
Seriously can't wait for the reboot guys. Love what you've teased so far! (Still need that Trinity/WT crossover, but it will happen EVENTUALLY DAMMIT. Hahaha.) Can't wait!!

Those are my favorite too. I put the most effort into them it seems. I may actually remake the others some time. But anyway -- Lucas is really one of the the only new characters set for the reboot. I was hesitant at first, because I figured Paul Wesley playing the same character (Jake Gold) but kinda not, because Lucas is canon in the Smallville universe, and it would look lazy, but I just went with it, and I'm glad I did. Karl and I have some great stuff planned for him. He's sort of a three-layered character, with personalities traits of himself, of course, mixed in with some Jake, as well as some "Chase Winters" who did not get introduced in the original series, but is probably one of my favorite characters I've ever helped create. So... there's that. You may be surprised with his relationship with Lana, and his relationship with Waller too I think this show works best as a serialized drama. Procedural elements do come in from time to time, but we'll see that everything connects back to the central storyline in some pretty major ways. We've decided to go with 12-13 episodes for each season, because for the story we want to tell, that count will allow to tell it in the most efficient way. It'll be a really fast paced season, and series, we expect. Interesting question. Cadmus is definitely introduced one of the sources of the city's corruption, but it's made clear that there are multiple things to blame here. And after the mid-season finale, I think it's safe to say that even MORE will be introduced. Amanda Waller is a tad bit different in the reboot than she was in the original first season. Her character is more militant, and her ties to the CBI, will be much more prominent in this series, where as it was kind of glazed over in the original. I think it could add some interesting drama to the show, which is why we're gonna really focus in on that more. You'll find that out sooner rather than later This episode will be fun to write, because it also touches on Lana's state of mind. This is a very Lana-centric episode, as we reveal a lot about her character and where she has been for the last four years off screen. What has lead her to this point, and what her motivations are in starting this new branch of the Isis Foundation. Her new client, who of course turns out to be trying to take the Foundation down, will allow her do some searching of her own, and that's what I'm mostly looking forward to writing in this episode. Also, there are going to be a lot of Lana/Cynthia moments here. Cynthia is SO MUCH different in this reboot. I know her character was a bit hit or miss with people originally, but I can't see anyone really disliking this character as much considering the changes we've made. This episode will kind of be like the original 4th episode, "Hack" but like you said, we're going to zero in a lot more on the hacking idea. It'll be interesting to show what technology can do and what those wielding it are capable of; how they can use it to manipulate the world around them to either help or hurt people. I'm really excited for that. If you want a little sneak peak into just what could go down in this episode will be -- look at a few minutes of this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0kACtSZcZsI can't say too much about this episode because it's basically a big spoiler, but it will be a fun episode to write because I'll be able to do stuff that may or may not actually come to pass in the natural progression of time. I love that. Hehehe... you should be scared. Thanks for the feedback, Jack! You're support is always great to have! XD Trinity/WT crossover, still very possible and I totally want it to happen as well xD HAHA!

Some of the things Chris said I won't repeat again Honestly the whole 12-13 episode thing Is a good idea. This way we can keep it tight and tell our stories And yes Jack....I'm still waiting for us to have a crossover with WT. It's not fair that we haven't had one yet!!!
