Trinity’s lead actress, Kristin Kreuk, sits down with VPN reporters for an exclusive “Welcome Back” Interview.
VPToday: So, Trinity is back on the air after a short production break. Are you excited?
Kristin: I am extremely excited! I hate being away from the set and when we finally started shooting again, It made my life a little fuller. I just love the cast and crew so much, I couldn’t stand being away from them.
VPToday: So, what can we expect from the first set of back to back episodes this Monday?
Kristin:Well, the first episode you’ll see is episode eight I think. It’s called “Lantern: and the special thing about it, is that it was actually written by someone other than Chris. Jason Davis, Chris’ brother wrote and produced an amazing episode. I had a lot of fun working with him for the first time on set and he’s a lot like Chris so, I was very comfortable with working with him.
Uhm, the plot for this episode is “Are we ready to be heroes and when can you tell when you are and when you aren’t. The main arc involves my character, along with the others on the team, meeting up with a rising heroine named Jade. But, the question is will her past let her lead this new life? It’s very interested and I think this may be one of my favorite episodes of this season so far.
The second arc is about Cynthia and her journey away from Lana and the others. Going through her training, she’s becoming more and more of the hero she needs to be, but within her storyline, we’re still left wondering if she’ll actually be able to start that new chapter in her life. Is she really as ready as she wants to be? And that’s something we’ll find out for all of our characters by the end of the season, I’m sure.
VPToday: It sounds like it’s going to be an amazing episode. Now let’s talk about your character, just for the remainder of the season as a whole. What other obstacles with Lana face before the end of the season?
Kristin: You know, this season for Lana is all about introducing herself to the world. She’s trying to make a change in Odyssey. She’s trying to bring justice to the city but ultimately, her attempts at changing the city for the good, falls back on her hard and she’s a bit broken after that. She believes that what Checkmate did to her was her fault, so she’s guilty. The remainder of the season is all about her ability to let go of the past and focus on the present and the future. If she can’t do that, she can’t become the hero that SHE needs to be and the hero that the people of Odyssey need her to be as well.
VPToday: And how about the second episode in the double feature we’ll get on Monday?
Kristin: This is the fun one. It’s called “Possessed”. It was teased before. The episode where Lana and Quentin are actually taken over by the souls of long lost lovers, who died back in the 1800s. The episode, on the surface, focuses on two major things; Jake and Pete have to step up in order to save Lana and Quentin’s souls. And then there’s the Quana love relationship. Even though their bodies aren’t in their control, they sort of feel everything that’s going on and we’re lead to believe that one of the two, or both Quentin and Lana, enjoyed it a little bit. I can’t tell you whether that plot is brought up in this episode or not.
VPToday: Please, can you tell us…when does Amanda Waller come back?
Kristin: She doesn’t actually have a face to face encounter with Lana and the others until the 11th episode. But, we will see her in her own special episode, which showcases Amanda life, before Trinity and Smallville and years and years before that. We go back to the time she was a child, all the way to her today and it’s fun because we get to go deep within her past, which is something we don’t get to do that often.
VPToday: Was it strange for you, not being in that episode?
Kristin: It was. When I first signed the contract, I was listed for 12 of 13 episodes. I was a bit confused about that but I trusted that he had something great planned, and well I was right.
VPToday: Well Kristen, it was great speaking with you. I hope to talk to you again soon.
Kristin: It was my pleasure.
VPToday: Catch two all new back to back episodes of Trinity, this Monday on theVPN.

:: NEW SCHEDULE :: Due to complications with Trinity airing, new episodes of both shows, Trinity and Watchtower, will be pushed back to November, to conclude its remaining episodes. The finale will be presented to the network in December, to air as a feature length movie event, wrapping up both season's.
"Trinity has been MIA lately, due to issues with my computer," Davis revealed, "however, I'm trying my best to deal with the situation, and I assure you that everything is being done to see the first season of Trinity wrap up with its sister show, Watchtower."
As this problem is being fixed, you can continue to check out spoilers, interviews, etc, that will keep the show alive in the long run. The network is currently looking at the possibilities of a second season, so be sure to check out news of that in the next week or two.

EXCLUSIVE: 'Davis' Dishes Final Episode & More! In Trinity's latest stint, Lana and Quentin shared a moment where something could have happened, if not abrubtly interrupted by Pete Ross. Where is this leading to in the last few episodes, and will the fans get to see this spark ignite sooner rather than later? "Lana and Quentin obviously have strong feelings for one another," executive producer and creator Chris Davis told VPtoday. "They are friends who constantly gravitate more and more toward becoming ... more than that." Davis assured us that Lana and Quentin will come to the realization of their feelings, and he is pretty sure that all you Quana fans out there will be extremely excited. "The last few scenes of season one are not to be missed, I'll say that much!" So it looks like it'll be sooner, rather than later! The fans have been waiting for a huge confrontation between Lana and Amanda Waller. Can we expect something big to happen between the two of them in the season's finale?"What kind of show would it be if I didn't pit Lana and Waller against each other for one final time, this season at least?" he said, telling VPtoday that the fans can expect a good showdown. "There'll be a good, phsyical encounter between the two, which dumbed down means a good 'fist fight,' and you can also expect to see the start of a true frued between the two characters." Does this finale look promising or what? The season has done well in starting these characters off separated -- at least those other than Quentin and Lana. Gradually, as the audience got to know these characters as individuals, they soon formed a team. How they all came to meet one another was a really intriguing aspect of the first half of the season. Does the finale pit Checkmate against the whole team, or will it focus more on Lana's battle against Checkmate? Executive producer, Chris Davis informs us that, like the first half of the season, the team will be separated. "As the final confrontation is among them, they all seem to split off to fight Checkmate in their own way. Lana wants to face the problem, head on, while Quentin is attempting to deal with Cynthia and her recovery, both physical and mental." Davis promises they will meet up to stand and fight united eventually as the season comes to a close, but they have things to deal with first, on their own. "But, all good things come to an end, and that's what you'll see for one of Lana's team mates by the end of the season." Should the show be picked up for a second season by the network, how much of a presence will Checkmate have? Will there be new threats to be worried about? Davis assures us that Checkmate isn't going anywhere. "They may not always be seen, but they will definately remain intact throughout the course of the series." He describes Checkmate as an authority figure to threats and enemies that will arise as the series goes on. "Its like the big, big bad of all the big bads." As the comics would have it, Lana and Pete Ross end up together - in fact they even have kids. How much does the comics influence where your characters might end up? "The series is based on the comics, for sure, but only very loosely." The writer tells VPtoday that nothing in Trinity is absolute, meaning the two may or may not end up together by the close of the series. "I wanted to have an open mind, especially about Pete and Lana's relationship. I'm still pondering the idea of them as an item." Davis confirms that he can't say no to them becoming a couple, but can't say yes either. "Things will unfold as the show progresses, and we'll see where we end up." Back to the finale. Can you give the fans a little tease of what they might expect as the season comes to a close? All Chris Davis had to say on the subject of teasing the finale, was one word: "Lex." I think this is going to be one hell of a season's end. Taking a look at Lana Lang's journey from being a cheerleader, to becoming a hero in her own right, will we see her struggle in being in this position of 'Leader.' In this position of being a hero? And, clearly, Lana's journey is nowhere near complete, so where can we expect to see this character go in the years to come (without giving too much away of course)? "There will be struggle, of course there will. Becoming a leader means you have to make difficult decisions. Decisions that impact not only her life, but the lives of practically everyone around her," he told VPtoday. "Her journey is a long one. Friends will be gained and lost, loves will grow and become strained, and the lives of Lana and her team mates will be forever changed. For better or for worse."
