A thread to discuss any film or film-centric things that do not necessarily need their own thread.

What movies has everyone been loving or hating throughout the past year or so? Streaming or in-theaters if your area has started to allow that again! My state has allowed for movie theaters to allow larger capacities now, so I've seen In the Heights and A Quiet Place 2 in theaters, and really enjoyed them both! One of my favorite streaming movies recently have been The Mitchell's vs the Machines! Currently, I'm making my way through all of the movies set in the Conjuring Universe. I've seen The Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Conjuring 2! Annabelle did not do it for me... at all, but I enjoyed the other two!

A Quiet Place and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It are the last movies I've seen in theaters. The ones near me just started opening up again too. Really excited about that. Before those, I did stream Army of the Dead on Netflix. I think it was okay. Definitely silly but I know it wasn't trying to take itself too seriously.
Aside from that, there's not many movies I can think of. I've been mostly getting into a bunch of TV shows. I am looking forward to seeing Black Widow next month though, obviously.

I've streamed a lot of films this year. I liked some, hated many. I saw Wonder Woman 1984, I have strong feelings about it. I saw The Craft Legacy, which I hated. I did like The Hunt. Hated Fantasy Island, which is sad because I had high hopes for that one. And apparently a bunch of films I can't remember, so clearly they didn't leave a lasting impression. Lol. I have tried to sit down and watch The Conjuring spin-offs (is that what I call them?) but after sitting through The Nun, ugh, and then parts of Annabelle, I can't seem to get myself to watch any of the others. It's sad too because I love the first two Conjuring films.

I'm gonna watch Annabelle Creation tonight, which I have heard is much better than the first Annabelle *fingers crossed*

I watched Psycho Goreman recently and would definitely recommend it. It's a pretty goofy movie about this monster coming to Earth hellbent on destroying it and how his plans get foiled by a young girl and her brother because they find a stone that controls him. It's just a fun sci-fi/horror comedy. Here's a trailer for it that obviously sells it better than I can: ( X)

I'm just patiently waiting for the Black Widow movie to finally come out next month. I'm excited. Who else is excited?

So Black Widow was literally everything. Loved it soo much! Was it long overdo and would have probably been better if they released it right after Captain America: Civil War? Yes. Probably. But as a film it did so many things right. A great send off for Natasha and it introduced the amazing Yelena Belova. I might be in love. All in all it was a fantastic ride and I'm really happy about it.
