WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR "HOMECOMING" Here's just a small recap of stuff you need to know about the characters before you read Homecoming next week. Reason for "Control" not airing is written in the previous post.
Highlight to read (if you so wish):
1. Chloe has given up on Emil, and left him to do what he wants, her last words to him being "Enjoy your life while you can Emil, for the little time you have left..."
2. Helena received a phone call from a mysterious person who claimed to be her father.
3. Perry found the Helmet of Nabu in Emil's base. It called out for his help, and has chosen him to be the vessl of Nabu's power, as he is the purest of them all.
4. Mia learnt that due to her past, she is carrying the HIV Virus, which prompts her to question the hero business. She ultimately suits up and becomes a hero, before choosing to leave town due to having the desire to seek out the answers she needs on her own.

Seeing as I hate rewrites - never can get it as good as the first, I'm thinking the season will be cut back to 12 episodes this season, I'll mention Mia having "left" in "Homecoming", and then bring her back for one episode to give the character justice if I get a second season - which is looking very promising at this point! XD

Ohhhh i hate computer sometimes so if i understand correctly....you'll not rewrite "control"...but you will air "homecoming" next week...so you just cut off one episode right? ok....that's so sad...i just wanted "watchtower" to last as much as possible...but i understand how can be difficult to rewrite an entire episode.... I'm so sorry.....you'll better have a second season...

I just think the rewrite wouldn't serve Mia right, because it'd be rushed and not my best work - and I want to respect that character, and not give her a shotty ending. Yeah, I might have a long season for season 2, so that's always good! XD

Exclusive: 'Watchtower' Renewed! After a succesful start on the VPN, action series 'Watchtower' has performed exceptionally well for the network over the course of its first season, with even more promise in its second season. With high ratings, and positive reviews, the network has ordered another 13 episode season, with an option for a back 9. Allison Mack, Justin Hartley, Kayla Ewell, Eliza Dushku, Michael McKean, and Christian Bale are all contracted to appear. Returning favourites include: a two-three episode arc involving Alessandro Juliani's 'Emil Hamilton', and a send-off for the speedy superhero, Mia Dearden, portrayed by Elise Gatien. What can we expect next season? Series creater Jack Malone promises a lot of new twists and turns that will turn every single character on their heads. "Everyone will be tested, and challenged in new and exciting ways." Producers confirm they'll be moving from a light tone for the show, and ending on a very dark one. "Our characters will start outside, where everything is peaceful, and seems perfect, to getting lost along their paths and struggling to find their way back." Also: Eliza Dushku joins the cast as the reporter with Claws, Selina Kyle, her evil counterpart, Catwoman. But if that wasn't enough comic book bliss, we'll also be seeing Bruce Wayne stepping up as the vigilante, Dark Knight. "We're diving into this new universe. Lining up with mythos, and bringing more characters into the fold. We'll be introducing Arkham Asylum, Scarecrow, Joker. A lot of great Batman villains to challenge our cast of characters." The producers concluded in saying that this season won't bring on a big bad to develop throughout the course of the season. "We wanted something new, fresh. Unlike Emil, where we spent a full season bringing him to where he ends up in the season finale, we'll be doing things differently. There isn't a season long big bad." So, excited about season two? What do you want to see? Any requests that would make season two even better than the first? Sound off below! Plus: Check out the official opening credits for Watchtower's second season, starring: Allison Mack, Justin Hartley, Kayla Ewell, Eliza Dushku, Michael McKean, and Christian Bale.

I'm going to have so much fun writing the Batman story arc next season, and bringing in Catwoman is going to be so fun. I'm thinking, catfight at the office between Chloe/Selina. That would be an awesome scene to write! About Dinah/Oliver? I will say I'm not following any mythos when it comes to who Oliver ends up with.

About Dinah/Oliver? I will say I'm not following any mythos when it comes to who Oliver ends up with. glad to see we have the same opinion about that ;D

Well, in the comics, there's a period in Emil's life where he's evil, but he redeems himself. I want to sort of bring him back onto the show to send him on his way, and although I can never redeem him properly on the show, because of how much he's done, I want to put him on that path to send him off. I don't think he'll interact with Batman or Catwoman. Mainly Chloe. I know, personally, I wouldn't mind having the Black Canary on the show for more episodes, should this show go as long as I hope (just too excited about getting a season two to even think about more seasons at the moment), BUT, there's nothing forcing me to pin her with Oliver. I think, when it comes to Oliver (a big playboy in the comics), there are no mythos to follow in terms of who he ends up with. On Watchtower, he's with Chloe, and happily in love. That's the story I'm telling with his love life, and well, I LOVE CHLOLLIE! (hehehe)

Well, in the comics, there's a period in Emil's life where he's evil, but he redeems himself. You know I'm not a big comic fan,and I never knew Emil turned evil ...i always thought it was an evil character made only for Watchtower I know, personally, I wouldn't mind having the Black Canary on the show for more episodes, should this show go as long as I hope (just too excited about getting a season two to even think about more seasons at the moment), BUT, there's nothing forcing me to pin her with Oliver. That's the story I'm telling with his love life, and well, I LOVE CHLOLLIE! (hehehe) You know, i wouldn't mind also having Black canary more involved in the show, but as I'm not her biggest fan, i must admit i really didn't miss her at all ;D I'm happy to know that having Oliver ends with Chloe doesn't mean ruin his character (based on the comic book), like everyone says.... Obviously, we are on the same wave length

Emil actually formed a grudge against Superman, I believe. And sort of became a villain in the Superman comics. All the stuff about creating an advanced race with powers was all my idea, by Emil does go through an "evil" period in the comics. I think the next Justice League person I want to have on the show is Bart. But I don't know how that would work yet, but I'm trying to work it out

Extract from VSGuide: Exclusive: The Season Finale!
A few weeks ago, the anticipated season finale was being revved up as one of the VPN's biggest crossover events on the network, pairing Lana Lang and Chloe Sullivan up to take down their enemies. Unfortunately, news has recently broke that that feature length episode has been scrapped.
"Chris needs time to work on the rest of his season, after all the problems that happened with his computer, and I need to wrap this season up by the end of the year," Malone revealed. Series creator of Watchtower told VSGuide that the two of them are already excited about forming another crossover, somewhere down the line, and is upset things didn't work out like they originally planned.
What can we expect for the *new* season finale of Watchtower?
"We'll still be taking that leap into the future to see where our characters are, and what the world is like," the producers tease, "and we might even end the season on a cliffhanger, just to tease the second season." Producers concluded in saying they wish to team up with Chris and 'Trinity' soon, as he's a brilliant writer, and believes characters like Lana and Pete could bring a lot out of Chloe, and vice versa. "It'd be like a lookback at the old school Smallville days."
Excited to see how the season might end? Worried? Sound off Below! |

Moira/Gabe and Chloe/Oliver...this HAS to be so good. Thanks! Perry White gets a bigger role next season, I think people will like it, and how it works with his father/daughter relationship with Chloe. Writing "Homecoming" was so much fun! Tweaking some last minute bits before it airs monday night. Hehe.
