I figured I should still probably review your episodes even though I am editing them. Seeing as when I edit I focus on the spelling/grammar/presentation kind of things my reviews are going to focus on the story and the things I though you did well verses the things I though were done a little poorly. Alright, let's start with episode 3, 'The Story Of Us'. I'm going to skip the teaser because most of that it re-done in the later acts. Instead I'm going to start with act 1 which is Mellie's story. I liked the meeting between Mellie and Chris though there were some parts where I thought the dialogue didn't sit exactly right with me. Some of the lines came off as rather cheesy and (even though I have a feeling they were supposed to) it just kinda made it really awkward for me to read. That could just be my personal tastes though so don't take that to much to heart. I like how you have the overlap at the end of the scene with Jenny's voice. I though that was a fantastic way to transition the scenes. I think I've told you already but I love the 'rocking the baby bump' line The dinner between Mellie and Chris was also done pretty well. Sure it was kinda full of clichés but they weren't glaringly obvious and suited the feel of that date so that was all good. On to act 2 which is Henry's story. The first scene was okay. i was kind of a little thrown off as to who Quinn was at first but thankfully the dialogue made that clear not to far in. The scene with Jenny at the store was pretty good, nothing in there that I thought was poorly done. The scene with Holly kind of bugged me a little. Not so much because of it's content but because Henry and Holly just seem to suddenly be hanging out without much of a reason. I think this scene would have been better if somewhere earlier it was mentioned that maybe Henry had been working to help Holly with her problems for a couple of weeks or something similar, just so we get a feel that this is something that regularly happens and Holly really opening up has been quite a long time coming. Okay, act 3, Harlen's story. I'm not going to focus on Jenny just yet because she comes into it later but I didn't really like the first scene, which I will explain in act 4. I like the scene between Harlen and Jewel. I actually kinda like how Jewel came across, even though we've heard nothing but bad things about her for the entire episode. Now, the scene with Brad. This I really didn't like all that much. I think the fact that Brad comes to see Harlen in his office and pretty much admits to hitting Jenny with a car is just not really plausible, especially since Harlen doesn't seem to do anything about it, like calling the police with this information. If I were to do this confrontation I would have had it happen out in the streets where Brad could have just walked up to Harlen, told him about what he did and then slipped away in to a crowd. I just don't buy the fact that Harlen would let him into his personal space and then just let him walk out again after saying the things he did. Okay, act 4, Jenny's story. I don't really like the way Jenny treats her mum, it makes her come across as really bitchy. She seems to have a real problem with her Grandma which in my opinion is pretty unfounded. Even when she does confront her Grandma later, Jewel doesn't seem that bad so this vendetta Jenny seems to have against her just makes Jenny look like petty person. That's something you need to be careful of. If you want your main character to hate someone that audience kind of has to hate that person too, otherwise you're main character becomes a little less likeable in the eyes of your audience. That is unless their hate of that person is supposed to be a character vice, then you can have the audience like the 'hated' person. Also, I don't like how Jenny treats her doctor when he asks about her drinking. I can understand that maybe she just didn't want to be reminded about it but the slamming of the door made her comments appear rather nasty and like she was really annoyed at her doctor for simply inquiring as to her well being. In the scene between Jenny and her mum I really love her mum's line "You got a second chance, why can't you give her one?". A low blow, maybe, but I think it really hammers the point home. I helps to bring us back to the idea of second chances which is a running theme of the show and I thought that was a fantastic piece of dialogue. Alright, moving on to the whole thing about her dad. I just found all these references really random and a little odd. I assume her father is going to come into the story at some point and therefore all these references are foreshadowing. If we're looking at these references to her father as foreshadowing I'm sorry to say that it's pretty poorly executed. Foreshadowing is supposed to be subtle and not really become obvious until much later where the event the foreshadowing was for has come to pass. You kind of want to create that "oh my gosh! Remember that thing in this episode? Who would have guessed it was related to this event in this later episode!" feel to it. If it wasn't foreshadowing then forgive my spiel XD Also, where Jenny suddenly opens up to Henry about her father? The timing for that was really off. There really hadn't been any mention of her father or fathers in general that could have set her off on that train of thinking and it seemed really forced, as if she was simply saying it to make something known to the reader. The scene between Jenny and Jewel at the apartment really made Jenny look like a bitch. I don't think her Grandma really said anything that wasn't true and Jenny kicking her out seemed really harsh. If that was what you were going for then well done but if it wasn't that's something you may need to keep in mind when writing future episodes. The voiceovers at the end were pretty good and my only criticism would be that I think they would have been much better if they were all done by Jenny, rather than the rest of the characters. Overall a pretty decent episode. I would give it a 7/10 P.S. Excuse any spelling mistakes, I was typing pretty fast when I wrote this.

HAHAH It's fine MJ! Thanks for liking this episode! And yeah some things were very cliche! HAHAH But Some of these blanks will be filled in as with Jenny's father and Why Jenny hates her grandmother! I plan to do a flashback episode reveling some big things! The plot with Jenny's father will not be filled in for a while! I have a big plan for that story but I will mention it! And I forgot to take out the Brad and harlan scene! That was going to be cut completely! I just didnt do it! LOL

Okay, so I decided to do take that jump and read the mid-season finale, still able to follow -- so thats good. Will have to back track when I get the time. But first I want to get the problems I had out of the way with it. Throughout the script, there are some things that just rub me the wrong way, and some of them are: - The melodramatic scenes; I understand that Jenny has lost someone, and that its very hard, but I still find that level of immaturity from the character. She doesn't speak as maturely as I thought her character would, and I don't know if thats how you've planned the character, or if its your writing, but, and take this scene for example: Jenny is drawing and her friend asks her what it is she's drawing, she snaps. I felt, yes, you obviously wanted to show that Jenny wanted to be alone (great!) But the execution of that was a bit forced, and didn't come off great for Jenny. -Dialogue: just some of the dialogue, I'd have to say, either dragged on too long and distracted me from the script, or it just didn't quite make sense, and rather repetitive. Aside from that, I felt the episode had a good storyline, and showed the steps of Jenny's character throughout move slowly towards the outcome of the episode (which I'm not sure if it was her returning to drinking, or finally realising when it was enough; realising that she can drink, and stop when she wishes -- so that was a bit confusing). But yeah, I really liked this episode, and for a mid season finale, and having something major happen before it, I'm not surprised there wasn't something overly huge about the events (like a death), and think that was a good decision. The VO's have gotten better, IMO -- still needs a bit more work, especially when it goes from intriguingly well written, to the cliche'd side of things. But I'm going to give this episode a 7/10. Good work, Brian Hope to see you back soon to finish off your season!

okay i'm finally caught up on the episodes and omg harlen dead i wanted to cry. i was also thinking wth at the same time. plus henry and jenny seem to be getting close real close it makes me wonder if there will be a them if you know what i mean. i'd think it would be cute well more than cute but thats my opinion. and yet jenny has started drinking again lets just hope she comes out of it. when will the show be returning??? so many questions srry. i wish the season would keep going and not be on break.lol. It would be good to know more about chris though. because it's like he's a floater. he comes and goes. im glad that mellie found him and all but lets just hope hes a good guy. he seems a bit mysterious is all. i wonder if holly will really give up the baby because usually during a term that would change being the baby is a part of her like she said. well anyways enough with my curiousities hahaha. i am giving the show a definete 10 out of 10 so far just dont keep it on hiatus for too long ill go nuts thinking of all the possible outcomes of jenny's fall out along with holly's baby etc.

i'm excited for the return of the show but i'm thinking it'll be impossible to replace paul walker as henry. but thats in my own opinion. i thought he was perfect for it and i think its a shame. so his replacement better work hard for his part and i hope the changes won't completely poop out the show because i loved it the way it was. though i hope there aren't any other character changes. and i wonder what kind of other changes would come of this show. does that mean there'll be new credits for it??? i'm just a flustered person hoping that when this amazing show returns it won't plummet. then again the only other person that i could see possibly pulling off henry would be steven strait. erg there i go again being pessimist. sorry i just think some changes are too big though i do hope for the best. so good luck and i definitely look forward to the return. i'm sure theres bound to be new twists

And yeah the changes were drastic. There will be a new Main Title credits and everything will be adjusted. But there are a few plot twists! Big ones even a couple in the returning episode! No other characters will be changed everything is now set in stone and I am happy with my cast and characters. So thanks for expressing your concerns it's really insightful!

I agree with midnight quiver. I think the cast change is a little bit too late into the game. For the character, I've been picturing this other person, and I don't see Cory Monteith (the guy from Glee), portraying Henry. JMHO, of course.
Other than that, excited to see this show return!

"Savior" was a good episode. It wasn't great, but it was far from terrible. I'm sort of busy doing something at the moment, but wanted to jot my thoughts down. Here's a pros and cons list:
+ The main story that was interesting to me was the Mellie arc, that involved Chris. I'm not sure when they came up, probably before this one (but the link was broken), but it was really interesting. + Brad's appearances are really exciting. + Grammatical errors, and spelling mistakes are very limited. I think MJ's editing has done this show a HUGE favor. - I'm still not enjoying Jenny's character, however, which is a bit of a let down. She has some good moments in this episode, a much lighter side to her, which was great, but still, not feeling her character as much as I'd wish I could. - Another character I'm not liking is Henry. He seems to get a lot of cliche dialogue and - From what I know what happens, I don't like the fact that Jenny could 'see the future' or at least 'dream of what's going to happen in the future.' I know you wanted to tease what was going to happen, at a layer of mystery, but I didn't like Jenny having that particular dream and then it happening.
7.5/10 - one of the better episodes of the season.
