wow, haven't used Celtx in a while but I think I remember the basics. Maybe I could be of assistance. What we're you confused about specifically or is it just the program as a whole?

I'm not stupid or anything is just the entire program that I am confused with. I tried to google but nothing came up that was useful. I only want to use the script section though. That's why I downloaded the software in the first place.

I write all my scripts in Microsoft Word, you don't necessarily need any special software. I use the styles in word to set up things like slug lines, character names, dialogue etc. and it makes the script writing pretty easy. Sure, there's a few formatting issues every now and again but you can usually fix those up at the end and it still looks like a proper script. If you find you can't get your head around that Celtx software just let me know and I'll link you to the place where I downloaded an example script for word with the styles already done for you

Yeah, Celtx is kinda a hard program to wrap head around. I just got the example script. Hopefully I can find another program that's more user friendly than Celtx.

I say that Final Draft 7 is the best. It's very user friendly, in my opinion.

I agree with Chris. Celtx was incredibly difficult for me to figure it out, so I got mad and gave up. Final Draft is the easiest and most user friendly.

I totally agree with the two former repliers. I have Final Draft 8 and that really makes writing scripts totally easier for me. I tried it with Microsoft but I just couldn't work with that. I've never tried Celtx software but, since it seems like so many people are having problems with it, I think I'll just stay where I am
