Thanks for the reply. I understand what you are saying and it does help me understand this series better. I haven't read any further...yet, so I just assumed it was a Deus Ex Machina. Do finish this series, I am enjoying it.

At the moment, I've got Watchtower coming up, and have to wrap up the second season of FtVS.

No problem. I will (eventually) get around to reading Faith and the rest. I'm hoping to pick up my reading pace as well, I am a little distraced with the Resident Evil games at the moment.

Haha thanks! Gosh, season one of Faith feels so long ago. It was my very first virtual series; and I only just got into script writing then. I must warn you, it may not be the most structurally best script you've ever seen haha

I'm sure I'll enjoy it anway. My first script was terrible. It somehow went from a P.I. type show to medieval horror. The dialogue was corny, the main character was cliche and the story...I don't even remember what the story even was about. I don't think I knew what it was about while writing it.
Yeah that was a few years ago. It sucked.

I'm liking what I see here so far. I can't wait for the series return, and hopefully, I'll get more into details when the VS returns.

So its been a while since I thought about Angel, but just looking back, I really wanted to post how the season would have gone; just the crucial elements. I know one day I may tackle a movie or something to wrap up (that doesn't follow these previous episodes), but I really want to just post how the rest of the season would have played out. Highlight below if you were interested:
After "Bloodlust," we'd focus on Gunn and his acceptance of becoming a vampire. Because of what he had done, Angel realises he'll never get the opportunity to become human - the prophecy will not be fulfilled. He sort of gives up. As things unwravel, Wesley became solid, Spike and Angel literally fought for their souls, and the hell dimension in the first half of the season finds its way back - and the team have to do everything to prevent it from swallowing Los Angeles again.
Those were the main points in the three episodes. Ultimately, "Soul Survivors" was about Spike and Angel being tricked into this challenge, where at the end, only one of them could leave with their soul. Basically, by the end of the episode we'd learn who the prophecy is really about. Two souls enter, one soul leaves. Spike, unfortunately, loses his soul, and although he's hurt and angry, there was going to be this great scene where Spike basically tells Angel he's the champion. This is his fight.
I can't remember much of "Hell comes Home." All my notes for the season are gone when my computer crashed. But, it was Gunn's last episode, and he did die towards the end. It was a "joss-whedon-death" where there's not much of a send off, in terms of a long goodbye. It was sudden. Gunn was just coming around, and in the middle of a fight with Angel, he sort of realises what's right and starts to see things more clearly. But then Illyria kills him, not knowing he had seen the light.
Now I can't remember much of what happens leading up to the final episodes. After "Hell comes Home," Angel is in a place of reflection, looking back at his life. The episode following basically was about his life as Angelus, featuring Darla, Drusilla and Spike. It was going to be the last time we saw the four in their wicked ways. And Angel would finally move on from his past, and be level-headed, and ready to fight the coming war.
From that, Illyria betrays the team to get her powers back. Illyria becomes a little more human at the end of the episode when she calls the team her family, but Angel sees her as too much of a liability and unexpectedly uses a device that tears her from her body - containing her in a tomb [she would be absent from several episodes after]. Then the next episode focused on Cordelia and her purpose. I didn't have that episode mapped out as well as the others, but it was heavily focused on her life, and what role she'd play in the war. She was basically the only human left on the team with no powers and limited training. She convinces Angel that she knows the visions can kill her, but if he doesn't make it, there needs to be a connection with the powers. So he would give her the visions at episode's end.
From that point on, there was Connor's return. Again, didn't have these last few episodes mapped out to the dot. The next episode was an Angel/Cordelia/Wesley "template" episode. The last time it was just them working on a case together. It was going to be the last funny episode of the series, that wasn't as serious as the whole "the war is coming" aspect of the season. They basically tackled an Angel Investigations case that led them on a bit of an adventure and they reflect on the past in doing so.
Then from episode 18 onwards, things kick into overdrive. I remember the 18th episode ("Encore") was the return of Lorne. It was called Encore because it was his last episode, and you know, the whole, "back for one last time; back again to sing" aspect. He had a lot of information on Wolfram & Hart and how to stop them. And just when he decides to stay and fight with Angel, Lindsey shows up at episode's end and kills him.
Then episodes 19-21 were focussing on the return of three particular Wolfram & Hart lawyers/liason's who worked with/against Angel. Lindsey, Lilah and Eve returned. But they were the embodiments of Wolf, Ram, and Hart. And they meet up in the penultimate and form this ultimate power. And once they joined, it unlocked this huge army. And the finale would be about fighting the army, saving Los Angeles, the Shanshu prophecy, and all of that.
The perfect ending for Angel - for me - would be him standing on a rooftop at the end of all the chaos. The sun is slowly beginning to rise, and he watches it as it does so. And just as the sun touches his face, we blackout, left with: "Is he human? Did he survive?" sort of feeling. Did Angel get the redemption he needed? I think that would have been a great way to end the series. If he didn't become human, he was ready to move on, if he did become human, he was looking onto his future. But yes, that would have been how I'd end the series.
So there you have it. I really want to tackle an Angel project in the future, but Watchtower is my main priority. But I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, if you have any, if not, I'm glad to get that off my chest. I had a lot planned, I just wish I could remember all the details.

...My god....
It's too bad this will never happen. Some really good points and ideas here, far better than my old plans for a season 6. Good luck in future projects anyway.
Also, I hope I will get back into reviewing this soon.

Angel - Reward
I'm back to reviewing! Alright, time to get back intoAngel
Bringing Drusilla and the Immortal was a good move. They are good villians for Angel and gang, although defeated kinda easily.
Spike doubting Angel was another good point in this, although trusting Drucilla and the Immortal made little sense. Wouldn't Spike trust Angel just a bit more than Drucilla?
Bringing Angeleus into the game was one of the best moves this season. I love him. Sad he didn't last long, but better than nothing I suppose.
Cordelia. How I hate her. She never was a favourite of mine and I hate her even more this season. Critising Angel and gang for just about everything they do. Just a personal point here.
This episode was pretty good, if a little lackluster. Overall, I give this episode: 7/10 Flawed in places but the characers and/or plot bring it up.

Angel - Back In Business
This episode is probably the best so far this season. Both plots this episode were interesting and well-written.
So Wolfram and Hart is back? They don't waste any time getting to work. They manage to decieve and capture Angel. After escaping, he gets some books on the Wolf, The Ram and the Hart. Doesn't seem like much, but it was quite interesting.
The other plot was also damn good. My biggest complaint was that it was trying to say that humans can be worse than demons, yet the guy wasn't really human anymore. Besides that, everything else was good.
Angel Investigations trully are back in business. Overall, I give this episode: 8/10 Some flaws here and there but the character development and/or plot makes us overlook those.

Angel - Bloodlust
Another good episode. Officially the best in season 6. After a rocky start, the season started to get good. Sadly its over but at least its a good end.
Once again, Angelus returns. Lock him up inside the hotel with all his friends is quite scary. He manages to kill Kate, Gunn and Holland all in one episode. There needs to be more villains like him.
Wolfram and Hart are really not waiting around anymore. Although we will never see what happens next, I imagine it wouldn't be good.
My only complaint this time is the whole Angel/Angelus switching thing wasn't well explained. And the small amount of Spike and Illyria was also sad.
This continuation was a good one, and I wished it continued on. However, for a last episode, it was good.
Overall, I give this: 9/10 Slightly flawed, but very good character development and plot.

Angel - Season 6
For a virtual continuation, it was good that this got off the ground. So many never do, and those that do are usually not well written. This version was an exception, as it was quite good.
It may have had its bumps and issues, it also had bright spots and just great writing. Spike and Illyria were the real highlights of this series, as was Wolfram and Hart and them finally striking back. I hope in future works, that you are able to make a team of characters as grand as the ones you portrayed here. Good Job guys.
Overall, I give this season: 7/10

Wow thanks for the reviews. I didn't spot them earlier, and I'm glad I had decided to look at this thread and stumbled upon them. I was upset to put this behind me and not finish it, but I feel that I've got the joy I was looking for by digging my teeth into the jossverse universe with Buffy, Faith and Angel, and although I never got to script the ending I had always pictured in my head for all three shows, it was fun while it lasted. Whilst writing the jossverse stuff, I was still getting into the whole 'virtual series' world and understanding scripts, so it was a bit of struggle to keep anything lasting and up and running whilst trying to learn more and more. This continuation was my favourite to do because I felt I worked harder on it with trying to match the characterisation of those we've seen on the series - Wesley and Illyria were my favourite characters to write. Again, thank you for reviewing, and I'm terribly sorry this continuation doesn't have an ending. Thank you for reading the episodes, despite that fact.

if it did go on how would it have ended If you go back a page or two I have it written somewhere in this thread. But, for me, the perfect ending for Angel would be the sunlight finally touching his skin, and leaving it open-ended in that: Is he now human or will he turn to ash. The final shot would have been Angel, probably on a rooftop, as the sun is slowly coming out. The battle against Wolfram & Hart had ended, 'the' apocalypse being fought - lives were lost, and loved ones had left, and Angel is there reflecting on his journey, both ready to put this life behind him (in the sense that if he was human, he'd be starting a new journey, and if he isn't, he's ready to move on; to die.) And then as the sun starts to move towards him, you'd see him embracing it, and just as it hits him, we'd blackout.
