ohh before I forget... Chloe said to Bruce that this was her first time to be in lock down....but what about Smallville's episode Sacrifice? with Tess?? She said it was her first 'serious' lockdown, in terms of there being a shooter in the building as opposed to just being trapped inside of a building, ala "Sacrifice."

Just picked up an error in 'Fear.' I'm gonna edit it on the script and upload again later, but in the first Act, Bruce says that Chloe was severely shot during the lockdown. In the original version of "Lockdown" Chloe was shot, and this episode wasn't edited after the rewriters of 'Lockdown' so please excuse that.

SO HERE IS MY REVIEW ON "FEAR" So it was really a mind trip/mind F*** for most of the characters in this episode. Especially Chloe . I loved how you had most of the cast end up scared and losing there mind. Another thing i liked was that Perry ONCE again used the Helmet of Fate for personal gain. Another thing i enjoyed was how Selina was on being investigative journalist and getting her hands dirty. CHARACTERS: Chloe: I enjoyed her fears that you made her go through. I thought it was finally good that her fears were properly introduced. My favorite thing was seeing Chloe #2. In Smallville i loved the scenes in Masquerade when Chloe #2 showed up. I felt that from the psychological point of view Chloe #2 is more like the ID or the Super-Ego (I really hope i used those right ). Another thing i liked about Chloe in this episode was how she was fighting the toxin tooth and nail. But i ALSO loved how her greatest fear is getting left behind so her Leaving iis how she would cope. I also love how NOW she knows Emil is actually alive. I was waiting for her to bitch-slap Emil. But now i have to wait for Arkham to come up so we can see what happens next between them . Oliver: Well he was a bundle of fun in this episode. He calls Emil for help. And i also loved how he helped out Helena with her identity Crisis. And I especially loved his way of getting out of the presses eyes as GA. I liked it and somehow i figure Clark helped out Ollie somehow. . He and Chloe are so CUTE together. I cant wait for the proposal. I feel like it was old times between Emil and Ollie. And it was reallly good that now they are at least on "good terms" with eachother. Helena: She was good this episode. I really enjoyed her struggle. Im glad that she found her father again. And i cant wait for the other episodes to see what happens next for her. Bruce: His appearance in this episode was....WOW. I felt really bad for him. His father showing up and saying those things about him must have been really hard. Another thing i enjoyed was the Dark Knight and Chloe having another bout of nice banter. And my favorite line "I dont do sidekicks" was really funny. I cant wait until he meets the league. That will be my favorite episode. And i also loved how he said I LOVE YOU to Selina....that was my favorite. Selina: Her fear was very....Ironic.hahaha. I mean i felt that was like the best fear . Her scenes with Perry were good. And her scenes with Bruce were pretty amazing Emil: All i have to say is that he is back to form in this episode. I really enjoyed how comfortable in Watchtower he was. And also the end with Crane...i cant wait to find out what DIRTY little secrets the other Emil had. I am going to enjoy that. And also his scenes with Ollie and Chloe were pretty amazing. Perry: All i have to say is that he is BADASS. I enjoyed him using the Helmet of Nabu. I like that he did. I would haave done it in his place. Although now that he has used the Helmet for personal gain...i cant wait to see how it turns out. QUESTIONS 1. What is Helena's new disguise? 2. Why didnt you utilize Ollie's fears or Helena's? 3. What was your faavorite scene to write? 4. Im pretty sure you answered this question already but did we find out HOW Emil got his hands on the Helmet? 5. Speaking of Sidekicks....will Bruce get any inn the near futurre? 6. I have to know....Why did you use Perry as the conduit for the Helmet? 7. And sincee Ollie and Chloe will find out the Helmet is in Perry's possession eventually, will they get it back? 8. Will Chloe ever use it again? 9. So why didnt you have Perry become the new Dr. Fate? 10. Will Selina's fear play a big part in her role up into you know who? ALL IN ALL I LOVE THIS EPISODE 10/10 A+

What is Helena's new disguise? Helena doesn't really have a new disguise. You'll see a bit more of her hiding her identity from the public in the next episode, but its mainly like throwing on a wig, wearing glasses, etc. Its kind of humorous. She's gone from one life of hiding her identity from the public, and now she's doing the exact same thing, just without the costume.
Why didn't you utiliza Oliver's or Helena's fears? It didn't seem that important. I think that, in this case, Helena's fears have all been leaked throughout the season so far - she doesn't want to lose the people she loves, especially her Dad, and she's worried that with her being the "Huntress" that she will get herself killed. It also had to do with the fact that showing their fears wouldn't elevate their characters or develop them. I mean, Chloe seeing her fears helped her overcome her problems. With Selina it helped explain some of her past, especially by showing "Maggie" who is her 'dead' sister. And then there's Bruce, who was the target of the whole thing - it also helped peel back some unseen elements of his character, like the need to live up to his father's reputation. He feels that he's failing his father every single day. There were no benefits of showing Helena's or Oliver's fears.
What was your favourite scene to write? As always, there were a few. Going in order as they appear, I really liked writing the scene where Bruce's father comes to him. I really liked the build of up anger from Thomas' character, and how he pretty much tells Bruce that he's pissing all over the family legacy. That was really fun to write. Another scene I liked to write was when Chloe was facing off with herself and listening to all her fears being spouted out in front of her. Getting to talk about Lana, Pete, her parents, Clark and Lois ... it was really great. I enjoyed it. And of course, at the end with Chloe and Oliver when Chloe admits that she's been pushing him away and that she can't do that anymore and that she loves him. That was probably my favourite scene. I hadn't written very many 'happy' scenes between them and that was just bittersweet. It was a beautiful moment. So yeah, those are probably my favourite scenes from the episode, LOL.
Did/Do we find out HOW Emil got his hands on the Helmet? We actually HAVEN'T yet, but we do find out in the following episode, "Arkham." That really explores the Fate storyline really well, and sort of wraps a lot of loose threads up from last season and this season. Its probably my favourite episode so far.
Will Bruce get any "sidekicks" in the near future? If by sidekicks you mean Green Arrow, or Watchtower, then possibly. Yes. If by sidekicks you mean Robin, or Nightwing, then no. Never. LOL.
Why did you use Perry as the conduit for the Helmet? It was more about "who would the Helmet choose to deliver a message." Then it made sense that it would seek out a pure soul that was kind hearted and spoke of nothing but the truth. Who better than Perry White, am I right? It was also a way for me to throw Perry into the main story of last season as we built up towards the conclusion of the season. I wanted him to be in the action, and I was really happy of where this route took the character. That confrontation between him and Emil last season was one of my favourite scenes to write - and this season, I'm having a blast writing Perry.
Since Oliver and Chloe will find out the Helmet is in Perry's possession eventually, will they get it back? Definitely tune in to the next episode that comes out very soon. It really does explore the helmet, and what's going to happen with it. The whole episode somewhat focuses around that. In a way. You'll have to wait and see, I guess.
Will Chloe ever use the Helmet of Nabu again? I can't say 'no' but I can't say 'yes.' Its one of those 'you never know' kind of answers. I think that its purposes on the show are never over, I mean, if I ever want one of the characters to see the future its the easiest route to go down. So I don't know. She may, she may not. I think unless its under drastic situations (like Oliver being kidnapped, ala "Lazarus") then she won't ever touch the thing again, LOL.
So why didn't you have Perry become the new Doctor Fate? Originally, I think, I was going to go down that road with Perry. I thought it would have been an interesting twist for the character to sort of be Doctor Fate before he becomes the Chief of the Daily Planet over in Metropolis. I just had no idea how I could wrap that story up should he become Doctor Fate without killing him, and we all know he doesn't die, well, he CAN'T die because of where he's meant to end up. Him being Doctor Fate, sure, would have been fun to write, but I think the way its turned out has been more fun and true to the character.
Will Selina's fear play a big part in her role as 'Catwoman?' Not really, no. Because Selina putting on a suit and calling herself Catwoman would be too similar to how Bruce stepped up as the Dark Knight, I've actually decided to do the Catwoman storyline a little bit differently. It takes a bit of the mythology from the comics, the Batman Returns film, and the ever-so-hated 'Catwoman' film - which by the way, I enjoyed! I hope you guys will like it, although I'm sure really hardcore comic fans may not enjoy it. I do promise that when she IS Catwoman, however way she gets to that point, she will BE Catwoman and that won't change. The process and how she gets there may be a little different to how people would like, but nontheless, her persona as Catwoman will be like the comics, and her interactions with Bruce and the Dark Knight will be similar to that of the comics.

This may sound absolutely ridiculous but how exactly do you calculate screen time?

This may sound absolutely ridiculous but how exactly do you calculate screen time? On Final Draft you get to see how many times a character speaks, and who they interact with most, and all of that. Its not 100% accurate because its based on how many times they speak as opposed to how many scenes they're in, but I think its fun to get a general understanding of how many "minutes" a character is in the episode for. You go to "Tools" > "Reports" > "Statistics Report."

You're review has made MY day, and I'm really glad that you liked this episode and enjoyed what Chloe and Oliver were up to. It was fun exploring Chloe's fears and bringing up some painful memories, getting to mention a lot of the things that have happened in her life is always fun because I get to mention so many people (Lana, Pete, Jimmy, Lois, Clark, Davis, etc). So this was a treat for myself. xD

It seems that in some episodes, there's a character you couldn't come up with an actor for. I usually only rarely choose cast for the guest characters. It doesn't bother me to not have someone booked to a guest character because half the time they're only in that one episode.

Just saw the episode, "Arkham." Awesome. There are a couple of questions. I found out that Monique Ganderton had previously been in an episode of Smallville as Alia, the Kryptonian warrior that followed Lois back from the future. I was wondering if you knew that when you cast her as Lucia Silverstone? Also, it seems that in every episode so far, Selina has ended up either Kidnapped, in the hospital, or both. Is that a coincidence or is it a factor in her eventually becoming Catwoman?

Is that a coincidence or is it a factor in her eventually becoming Catwoman? Yes, I knew that the actress I chose for Lucia Silverstone was the same actress who was on Smallville previously but like Smallville likes to do sometimes I decided that I didn't want to change. I really liked the choice and despite her appearing on Smallville as a completely different character I really liked the idea of her playing this character. Much like on Trinity, Paul Wesley plays 'Jake' when the actor played Lex Luthor's brother in season two. And, LOL. In the first two episodes she was kidnapped, in "Lockdown" she was fine, in "Fear" she was put in hospital, same as "Arkham"... I'd just say its a coincidence. These situations have helped develop her, I think, and its just a 'sane' follow up to have her in hospital. Like in "Arkham" after her attack, it led to a good scene the developed Bruce and Selina's relationship ~ had she not been admitted to hospital it wouldn't have worked as well. In "Knight," the whole kidnap thing was different because the kidnappers in question mistook her for "Chloe." Its little things like that. xD And thanks for reading 'Arkham!'

I Finally had time to read "Arkham" and I liked it. It was a nice Perry heavy episode and i really enjoyed him. In the beginning i felt sorry for him, but then i liked how he refused to just sitting there waiting for help and tried to free himself. well done! Emil was a nice surprise through the entire episode, for one second i really believed he was just acting good..so now he is leaving, and we will not see him again this season?? Poor Helena, she seems to never find peace this season....she will ask for help or she will go through with it alone? I'm happy that Chloe never believed even for a second that Perry had just lost his mind...it was nice that after Emil saved her life, she helped him to return back from death... again....he's really like cat, never dies ;D Really nice episode...i give 9

In the beginning i felt sorry for him, but then i liked how he refused to just sitting there waiting for help and tried to free himself. well done! Thanks! I really wanted to do a Perry White "heavy" episode this season, especially with the extended episode order. I felt that the whole build up of the Fate Helmet storyline and his involvement gave me a good reason to throw the spotlight his way, but I felt this episode was even more so Emil Hamilton "heavy" too. Emil will be back for two more episodes this season. But the episodes he is involved in are sort of jam packed so much that his character wouldn't get an incredible amount of focus and conclusion to his character, so I wanted to sort of wrap him up in "Arkham" before he returns to be "just another member on the team," so to speak. I'm glad it was a nice suprise, I really hope that I redeemed the character - despite this version not being the one we've seen in the first season of Watchtower. In the face of his past he managed to stay on the 'good' path and not sway over to the dark side, which I think was what proved himself in the end. Helena is quite a tragic character this season. There's a lot that will be going on with her character right up until the season wraps next year. I think that its been fun moulding her into the storyline, and seeing how things play out for someone wanting to be normal. In the episode "Speedy" which is going to air once I can get home from school will carry out what happened to her in "Arkham," so I think your questions about it will be answered there. xD Hahaha. Emil is definitely a genius at staying alive. Thank you for reviewing the episode! I'm glad that you liked it! xD
