I'm not exactly "excited", but I'm not ready to stop watching yet. I hope Tara is back. I don't know how its even possible she could have survived, you know...THAT, but I hope she isn't gone for good. And I'm kind of sick of the "girl trapped in a vampire love triangle" thanks to Vampire Diaries, so I hope Sookie has moved on from both Eric/Bill at this point. Let her get with that werewolf guy - its been so long since I've watched this show, I'm forgetting their names! I think it starts with "A". HAAAH.
But yeah, I hope Season 5 does alright. XD

I'll watch it, but mainly for Jason and Jessica. The rest of the cast bores the fuck out of me, and that is not good. Though that Russell and Authority and human uprising is looking damn good.

I feel the same way as Jack. "True Blood" was never a brilliant show, but it always found a way to, at least, entertain me. As the seasons have gone by, I've noticed the show getting less and less entertaining. The show seems to be going south. But I haven't given up on it just yet.
We'll see how season five goes.

From the looks of this trailer, I think season five will be a big step up from the previous 3 seasons, since the show has been on a downward spiral since season one, it seems.

I don't really care at this point. She stopped being interesting in season 3. But... IDK. lmfao

The trailer does make season five look pretty excellent. I'm looking forward to the premiere. As for Tara... while I did like her character, I feel like she was given the short stick in season 4, and I would rather have her dead, then for her character to continue to get less interesting.

Yeah, they did let me down a bit with Tara in Season 4. It would have been nice if they stuck with the whole "being stronger" storyline, rather than to resort back to her being the victim again and again. Still, I would love to see her not be dead in Season 5, haha. XD

True Blood in like... 8 minutes!
I'm only really tuning in to find out what happened to Tara. This season does look awesome, but its been a while since I've watched this show, and Season Four kind of annoyed the HELL out of me. But, I just stumbled across a spoiler about Tara, and I'm... well, I'm happy. XD
I shall be back to bitch about the premiere. lol jks, I'm sure its going to be awesome!
Oh and its been described as "Year of the Pam." So that's good too!

OMG OMG OMG OMG! I am still on the True Blood bandwagon and I cannot wait until next week! I really liked the premiere! A more sophisticated review/discussion to come soon whenever I can put my thoughts into words.

So, I watched the premiere, and... That ending! I was watching it, literally screaming 'Sookie has to have healing powers!' I was convinced that Sookie would chime in at the last minute and bring Tara back, but then *boom* the transition worked, and Tara became a vampire! A pretty growly one at that. But, unlike The Vampire Diaries, I can only see this as a bad thing for Tara, but after everything this show does, expecting the worse and praying for the best seems to be the only way to get through it. Now, either this direction for Tara is to overcome the "feeling like a victim" phase that they've had her in since the beginning of the series, and its going to inevitably make her stronger, or, Tara will slowly descend into one of the season's big bads. I'm hoping its option A.
And, are Eric and Bill finally moving on from Sookie? If so, best idea ever. Bill and Sookie had their time, and it was pretty much the first season where I felt it was appreciated. The more it played out, the more I wanted it to end. Eric and Sookie had that fun 'amnesia' story, but then they tried too hard with these two and it turned into such a cheesy relationship. I heard that Bill and Eric spend most of the season working together, so I'm hoping that doesn't mean threeway with Sookie. Besides, her and Alcide are a better couple. Yup, I said it.
Seeing Steve Newlin come back was hilarious. Was it said that he was a main character this season, or just back for the premiere? Either way, the scenes he had with Jason were hilarious. I love how he came out about being gay, using his inability to come to terms to it as an excuse for "being murderous and whatnot." And then announcing his jealousy that his wife got to sleep with Jason and not him. Pissing myself. Speaking of Jason, I kind of hope he and Jessica work out - last season it was lust between them, but now it seems like there are undertones of feelings that are bubbling to the surface, and I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays out because Jessica and Jason are two of my favourite characters. XD
Another hilarious moment was when Pam decided that she would turn Tara for Sookie, and she's wearing walmart pajamas. And when she comes out from it, she's like: "I've got dirt in my bra!" I love Pam. I heard that this season is 'Year of the Pam' which will be awwwesome. I love her relationship with Eric, and secretly want them to be together. But it looks like they're going through that "Chlark" phase where everything is strained, and painful, and hurts...
I really don't like Lafayette anymore - I don't know if its because he's mopy all the time, which I don't blame him for, or if its because he's just lost his spark over the seasons, but I was hoping he would die last season, and it wouldn't be the worse thing if he got killed off this one. I guess he has a large fanbase though, so I don't see that happening. And I'm also not a huge fan of Sam at the moment either. But other than their involvement in the episode, it was pretty awesome.
And... is it just me or does it look like Sookie is going to turn into a badass this season? She said she didn't kill out of self defense, that she wanted to do it. Now, imagine Sookie pistol whipping some vampires. Anyone? Just me? Hahaha.
Anyway, the premiere was EPIC.

The season premiere was great. Felt good to be watching True Blood again, even though season 4 was a bit of a letdown. I'm really liking the idea of Bill and Eric working together this season. I get so tired of the Bill/Sookie/Eric love triangle, and if that's done, I'll be extremely happy.
Tara being turned into a vampire? I have a load of mixed emotions there, but I'll wait until we see exactly what's up in episode 2.
Jason and Jessica are my favorite characters, so I'm really glad they're together. Hoyt is being annoying and childish. That scene at the table had a very "high school" vibe to it, and it really irritated me. But hey, Jason did f*ck his girlfriend... more than once... in different positions. Okay, I'll be quiet.
Pam. What can I say about Pam... she stole the episode for me, even though she was buried for most of it. Her lines were priceless, as usual. Looking forward to more Pam this season. All in all, the show starts on a high note. Let's see if they can keep it up.
