So, I saw a discussion like this over at MZP and thought I could start one here, since it looked really interesting. Basically, can you recognize the writer of a script (say you don't see the name and all that) based on just a few pages? Do the individuals here have dinstinct writing styles that we can recognise them by? Discuss/List.

Can you recognise them? Not sure.
But do writers have a certain "voice" (I use that term loosely) that shows up in their works.

Since I'm one of the writers I don't really know, but my sister is able to recognise my (non-script) writing from other peoples rather easily so I would say that yes, writers can have distinct writing styles or 'voices'. I'd like to see what some of the predominant readers of shows on the VPN think though

I certainly think people have different styles. Sometimes it takes knowing somebody for awhile to pick out their "voice" but it is possible. Also word choice or habits people have are a tell. Aimee sometimes picks on me because I tend to use "..." in things I write.
