Hi, could someone reccomend the best free script-writing software. I've tried Celtx but you can't save your scripts in anything but a .celtx file so that's no use. I've messed around in Microsoft Word but it's a bit too frustrating. and i can't afford Final Draft!

I've attempted to use FiveSprockets, which is an online based screenwriting program. It seemed pretty cool www.fivesprockets.com

I've messed around in Microsoft Word but it's a bit too frustrating. and i can't afford Final Draft! In CELTX if you hit the tag Type Set/PDF at the bottom of the program it will show you a PDF version of your script. It will bring you to that page and at the top of the page is Save PDF. Now you can use their generic title page or you can create your own in Word or something and save that as a separate PDF then go to a site like FoxyUtils MergePDF. If you want to create your own title page and want to get rid of their generic one, you'll have to go into Format Options at the top of the screen and turn off title page. I love CELTX. I mean I do now that I know some of it's tricks Lol. Hopefully that helps! Hey! I am looking for a free screenwriting software, but the more and cont'ds in ScreenWritingPro is not very good. And FiveSprockets, well, it doesn't work! Thanks Although many hate it, I recommend CELTX. It's free, which is what I really enjoy about it Lmfao! It's a little ass-backwards in regards to placement of transitions but overall it's a great program. And it's universal in Mac and PC, so even if you start a script on a Mac you can save it to your PC and continue. Hope that helps!

I can't afford the Final Draft myself and I will get the hang of the program. I am starting the pilot now.

Try Scripped. I'm using it for my projects like my X-Men VS and Beetlejuice for Righters United.
