Well, see, that's the problem. XD It's not Henry and Janet. It's Scott Lang's Ant-Man.

Fortunately for us I do not think Ant-Man is happening anytime soon. It was something that they were working on, but the other 4 movies are their priority right now. At least that's what I was getting from reading stuff about Comic-Con.

Ant-Man will probably happen before the Avengers 2, though. So that he can actually be IN the Avengers by that time.

I'm actually looking forward for Ant-Man, and see how they will portray his powers in live-action, since it is an "unusual" superhero power. As well as the Guardians of the Galaxy, since it probably will show other areas of the Marvel Universe beyond Earth and Asgard. And I gonna see Rocket Raccoon in live-action.

Okay, Marvel is doing WAY too much, now. lmao! Amen. But I think its kind of a better idea to introduce these characters in their solo films, and then bring them in to an Avengers sequel, rather than have these Avengers filmed stuffed with character introduction. That said, not everything deserves its own movie. And how come Black Widow doesn't get her own film, huh? Stoopid Marvel.

Dude, I heard something about Black Widow getting her own film, post The Avengers, and it'll be a prequel. Don't know if the source is reliable though.

Ugh, mate! Black Widow was my favourite thing about the Avengers. She was the only reason I decided to go back and try to watch Iron Man 2, but I didn't even get up to her character before I fell asleep - I really tried, I swear! But yeah, I'm more of a Spiderman/X-Men "Marvel" fan. The rest of the comic book characters over there are pretty foreign to me (or I just don't like them).
I hope there's a Black Widow film - prequel or sequel. XD

Marvel is skeptical about making a movie with a female lead because they say it "won't sell". A lot of people have been bringing it up to them but they say there isn't a female character or an actress that could carry a female lead film like that. Even though, you know, they have a vast number of female characters and more than enough actresses that could carry the film. (Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jessica Biel as Abigail Whistler).
I mean, I can name more than a handful of female characters that could more than carry a major, blockbuster film. Most notably would be Spider-Woman and Ms. Marvel, as well as Black Widow. There are SO MANY PEOPLE that want to see them, but Marvel's convinced that it won't sell. That is pretty much the single biggest issue I have with Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is THE biggest movie franchise right now, and they have the chance to take that and change the way the movie industry works and allow for more female-dominated movies -- but they won't because selling is all that matters to them.
-sigh- Okay, sorry, rant over. In short, I'd love to see a Black Widow movie too.

As for Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy. I understand why they're doing separate movies that aren't the Avengers. Ant-Man is an important character to the Avengers and deserved his own solo intro. And the Guardians of the Galaxy are rather important to the Marvel Universe, I guess, and just leaving it up to Avengers 2 to introduce them would make the movie a little too packed full of intros and backstory. So I'm glad they're doing solo films for them before they go and shove them into the Avengers.

I often wonder why people get so mad about certain movies being so different from the books. They didn't used to. Take "The Wizard of Oz" for example. It's a classic to this day, and was almost NOTHING like the book.

Eeee. Avengers comes out on DVD on Tuesday!!! I'm picking it up ASAP because Wal-Mart, at least, should have them on display pretty soon after midnight. I'm gonna be out anyway for the midnight launch of Mists of Pandaria the same day sooo what's a trip to Wal-Mart to complete the night? I plan on watching it while I'm installing the expansion pack.
I can't wait to see all the special features they've added to the Blu-Ray. I know it's already been leaked on to the internet and all that, but I've specifically been avoiding looking too much into it so I can still enjoy it the first time once I've got the DVD. I'm so excited to finally own it XD
