What I don't support is the idea of the series running alongside "Arrow", "The Flash" and "Legends" (don't get me started on THAT whole thing!) - while I once believed "Oh, CBS and CW will never crossover, they're different networks", I know now that the CW is actually a subsiduary or similar of CBS so it could happen, and I think it would be disastrous for that. In a world as dark as "Arrow", and with "The Flash" introducing the idea of 'metahumans' slowly for the world to get used to the idea, the idea that Superman (and now Supergirl) is flying around somewhere, it just wouldn't really 'fit' with the world they have built, in my opinion. This is something that I've struggled with a little bit too, admittedly. However, I think it's more unrealistic if Starling City is just closed off from the expanded universe, and I think seeing those characters having to adjust to other threats will be fun to watch. And there will be crossovers between the shows; it was a deal Greg Berlanti made in the contract to allow Supergirl to crossover into the CW Shows. But I think I read somewhere that it wouldn't happen until a second season of Supergirl so we're potentially looking at the third season of The Flash, and the fifth (possibly final) season of Arrow.

The one thing that pissed me off personally was the use of the name 'National City'...? Seriously?! Why not just call it "Metropolis" and be done?! I think they consciously decided not to use "Metropolis" because of the correlation it has with Superman. I mean, even if you're not a comic fan, you know Superman lives in Metropolis. With this being Kara's story, I don't think it really makes sense for her to be located in the same city as Clark. It seems like that would cause a lot of problems, like "Well, since it's Superman's city and he's there most of the time, I don't see why he couldn't just fly in and take over for Kara, save the day and be done with it." It just looks like a voluntary creative choice, in my opinion. I think I'm going to wait until the pilot actually airs. I've seen some people talk about how they really enjoyed it, so that gives me hope Also, let's not forget how when Superman Returns was coming out, Smallville writers had to limit the amount of scenes Lois/Clark could share, and avoid a romantic storyline as a direct result of Superman Returns. When the Smallville Season Eleven comic book came out, Oliver (and by extension Chloe) had to be removed from it because they wanted Arrow to be the main TV Oliver Queen. Deadshot was killed off on Arrow because of the Suicide Squad film. This is DC Comics for you. At least it's better than having one universe for all (coughMARVELcough) but that's probably why they can't use Metropolis for the show -- for legal reasons.

Well you are my best friend. But you did yell at me, evil. But let's hope we get 101 soon! I believe my exact responses were "no" after every time you mentioned a new show to pitch, hahaha.

I have written 4 and half episodes of 101 and have been slapping myself on the wrist from actually creating a whole new show. Who need another anthology series about Serial killers. Jack already yelled at me. Also writing comedy, a lot of fun because I can use so many bad jokes that in the end, they turn out funny! How's everyone's writing going?? You make me sound so evil *cries* But duuude, I'm so excited for 101. Fingers crossed for a series pick-up

All I got to say is hooray I'm excited for the new seasons. But the one thing I wish for the next season, is that Hope 2.0 comes to visit and that we get an episode where the original Team Watchtower (Chloe,Oliver,Helena,Mia,and Bruce) all team up for one last mission together. I mean Season 1 was a treat because of the fact that the home team in Gotham was so small and that they were a close knit unit. And it would be nice to revisit that. Also check your inbox. I have to ask you something There's still a chance that Hope might resurface this season. I've still got seven more episodes to break, and ideas have been running around in my head to revisit her before the season ends. The really cool thing about Hope is that I recently figured out her future and what her purpose will grow to become, and what that means for Chloe as well. It took a while, but I eventually got there. There are hints towards it that will be peppered throughout this season, and next, and so there's still a lot of Hope to come, I promise Getting back to Chloe, Oliver, Helena, Mia and Bruce would be great. It's officially on the bucket list

I did catch myself looking at Kara like she was dressed like Felicity. I mean it's weird that they are doing that but I personally think Kara will have more layers to her. Not to bash Felicity even more that I kinda already do, but I think Kara will be able to hold her own. And I think we're so used to seeing girls as Quirky and Fun and YouTuber-ish. Thanks Grace Helbig (jk i love you) but Kara seriously should shine and as you say, will rank with the Laurel's, the Thea's and the Iris's and ETC. Kara is the Supergirl we need. Black Widow next? Yeah, she will actually have development, being the main character and all. I'm just getting tired of the trope. I mean, you'd have someone come in and treat Laurel/Thea/Iris like crap and they'd bite back straight away telling them where they can shove it -- immediately be identified as a "bitch" or "aggressive" or what have you -- but then you'd have characters within that trope that Kara and Felicity sit in who have to experience heckling for a while before they can bite back and their anger is "earned." Does that make sense? The saving grace of it all is that she is the main character, and it is a nice contrast to have this insecure, awkward character who can catch a car with her bare hands, and is bulletproof, and physically you better not mess with her. I'm just making an observation on the types of female characters are "accepted" and the types that are shunned away and it's kinda like... will this pave the way for a Wonder Woman film, or a Black Widow film, or will we have to see those characters "Felicity-ified" in order to see it come to light. It bugs me. But I'm a bit off topic now. I think Greg Berlanti is a genius and he must be rolling in cash now that he has Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow (not to mention all the films and other tv shows he has out). I'm a little nervous about this show not being on TheCW and how much success it might have -- I'm hoping a lot -- and just generally excited for it. The trailer was epic.

I really disagree with a lot of the criticism that the trailer received, particularly the comments of Kara being "too girly". I don't really understand the preconceived notion that, just because someone is a superhero, that they're not allowed to want to dress up for dates and feel feminine. It just confuses me. The Flash had a very similar first trailer, and there are obvious similarities between the two, I've come to notice. I can't wait to see what they do with series, and how it's going to stand out amongst all of the other supehero shows and movies that are out. I think any hate it got for having her be "too girly" was just squashed in that scene with Cat Grant really empowering the word "girl" as opposed to "woman." The only problem I have with all of it stems from the creative team feeling the need to "felicity-ify" the main female protagonist as a way to make her relatable or beloved by fans. It's starting to annoy me how this trope of awkward, quirky and insecure librarian looking girl has become the mould for female characters to be welcomed with open arms as opposed to the strong, confident, knows what they're doing type. It's like... the Kara's, and the Felicity's of TV won't get called bitches because they're so introverted, and awkward and insecure, but the Thea's, and the Laurel's, and the Iris Wests of TV do because they're confident in what they do, and they don't fumble over their words, etc. But that said, I loved the trailer, and I loved Kara and I'm really excited for it.

I agree about Fisk. I think he was what "Arrow" tried and failed to do with Malcolm Merlyn -- someone who did terrible things for the right reasons. Plus, I really connected with the guy. It wasn't until he murdered you-know-who and the big climactic battle begun where I was rooting against him. I like understanding characters and getting inside their heads and I appreciate that being extended to the villain of the story. My favourite episode was probably Nelson v Murdock because their relationship was one of the highlights of the show for me and that episode did a good job of showing someone's reaction be completely justified with their experiences (unlike Pete finding out Clark's secret on Smallville and turning into one of the worst characters of the show). Lastly, Karen was a huge stand-out for me. I like that she was so detached from everyone else in the first half of the season, and then when things started coming together, her arc was just ridiculous. It all came together, and how she fell into the A Story -- and took her arc with her -- was just incredible. I'm so happy the show was renewed for a second season, and hopefully I can digest episodes quicker this time around now that I'm a fully fledged fan of the show

"Girls Night" ReviewI was totally not expecting an episode like this to follow the premiere but man am I glad that it did. Audition kind of fell back into it's usual self this week with undertones of the terrible event that shook all the characters up for the beginning of sequence four, and while some characters are still rightfully in a place of despair, things progressed into a nice little hopeful finish in this outing. At the beginning of this episode, the mutual grieving and guilt-sharing between Paula and Alisha was transitioned with comfort food -- one had icecream, and the other had chocolate -- and I kind of wanted that to carry throughout in some odd way so that when we came to David, he would be munching on hospital jello or something of the sort. But I think it was a nice transition to see that the one who is physically hurting, and the one who has been bed-ridden, doesn't get the luxury of decent comfort food and instead he has a nice conversation with Alex to spark some of that old!David behaviour back into our lives. He is seriously one of my favourite characters and I think I'm most excited to see his story arc this sequence -- once he's out of hospital, of course -- because he was such a supporting character to Alisha's story, and development that seeing him bridged away from her makes me really happy and excited to see where you're taking him this sequence. The introduction of his parents is just scratching the surface of that and I can't wait to see what kind of bond he has with his two mums, and if he got any of his geekyness from them -- like was he showered with comics as a child? Was one of his parents a total comic book/star wars geek too? I'm keen on figuring out more about his childhood and how his parents shaped him into who he is now and what kind of impact that they had on shaping him, you know? Maybe he used comics as an escape, and it's not an interest passed down. You know, it's all very exciting and interesting to find. Him referencing fictional characters as having gone through worse things just make me so happy because I'm often doing the same damn thing in my head and I love, love, love Alex's reaction to it all. I'm hoping for more Alex/David scenes in the future. The rest of the episode didn't hold too much development for anyone so much as it was about finding peace and contentment in a terrible situation and absolving themselves of the blame and the guilt they feel. I'm sure it's not the end of Paula and Alisha's guilt, but it was a nice start towards getting better and getting back on their feet. I also liked the subtlety of Rose and her current predicament in facing this reoccurring phone call with no ID. You really got the sense that it might be that producer she slept with and when the episode culminated in the girls night and the drinking game -- which was such a brilliant idea and creative move to have characters reveal their emotional struggles and their problems without seeming forced and vomited out for the audience to latch onto -- we got to see Rose come to terms with what she has done, and we got to see Paula, and Alisha, and Judy really admit to themselves what has been eating at them. I think it was a nice way to show progression in these strong women. One of my initial problems with Alisha coming out of her storyline last year and into the fourth sequence premiere was her lack of taking responsibility for her role in what happened -- palming it off as a mistake or what have you -- and by coming out and saying "I cheated on my boyfriend" as a simple fact just meant so much because it felt like the first big step towards facing what she's done, growing from it, and moving on, you know? I kind of saw that in all those four characters. All in all, it was a really strong episode. At first glance, not a whole great deal happened in developing certain storylines coming out of the sequence four premiere and I'm still a little curious as to what the direction of the sequence will be but reaching that final scene of the episode -- the actual girls night -- it really put a nice little bookend towards what could be a three-parter (S3 finale, S4E01+E02). I'm still obsessing over how damn creative it was using a drinking game to get so much out of these characters in such few lines of dialogue. I think that was completely brilliant and without that scene and without that game, I think this episode would have been received differently from me. There was just so much pay-off at the end that I really appreciated, so another fantastic episode, man!

REVIEW: 3.13 "DNA"Whoooooooa. What an episode, literally. I don't remember the last time I read a Watchtower episode so fast and with so much intent on needing to know what was happening. Now, that is in no way saying that the episodes leading up to this have been bad or worse than this one, but the writing was really quickly paced and the character beats were really strong here. It had a nice balance of description while also keeping up with the fast beats during the actions moments. Definitely understand what you're saying. I wanted that kind of fast beat after beat pace for Selina's arc because she carries a lot of personal beef with Hush that I think not seeing her get done would be a disservice. That said, next week isn't the finale -- as crazy as that seems knowing what goes down in 314 -- but all the questions raised in this episode do get answered, and there's some huge reveals about "Hush" coming that hopefully goes down well for Selina's final episode of the season. Duuuude, writing Barbara for this episode was so much fun. It was nice to see her in a place familiar to the comic books without having to actually commit to paralyzing the poor girl. I think she's the only character on the show whose injuries from a previous episode remain intact, LMAO. But no, these episode are taking place hours, to a day or two after the previous so it made sense to put her in a wheelchair for those purposes. I loved writing the moments where she'd figure out people's identities because I got to hint at the Birds of Prey with her learning about Dinah and Helena, specifically. But overall, I'm just glad she's been welcomed with open arms, and her interactions with Chloe have been met with praise too. Thanks man I think there's so many characters on this show that not connecting with one isn't too much of a problem for me, going along with the "can't please everyone" motto. I definitely go back and look into it and I think the main issue was that Vicki herself was detached from the main story and her story wasn't as fast-paced and action-packed as the rest of the episode, but I appreciate the honesty. She does play a huge role in the next episode, almost as big as Selina in her send-off, and so it'll be interesting to see what you take from there with her being a huge player in the A Storyline. As well as that, things will progress for her in a way that locks her in the middle of the action for the season finale, so there's a lot coming for her that I hope will be more rewarding than her role in this episode I'm good with mixed feelings about Helena/Lisa. Hopefully the end result won't be as mixed when the season comes to a close. Lisa will be back for 314, but I plan to have better closure for her by the end of the season. I think the crazy thing about this move is that it somehow is a lot safer for her than to be hunting for Hush and in the city when Hush eventually strikes with his army. As for Helena/Dick, I think there needs to be balance in an episode. It can't be all chaos and mayhem. Things need to slow down to speed back up again and that's the approach I took with that moment. I never considered this to be a "love triangle" of the conventional kind. There were feelings involved on all sides of it, but it wasn't a "make a choice" or anything like that so much as these two characters -- Lisa and Dick -- played into Helena's arc of the season and her turning her back on both of them puts her in a very "back to business" place for the remainder of the season. With that said, she only has one scene in next week's episode and it'll be a little bookend to the Helena/Lisa dynamic (with a little reveal about something that has not been brought up yet of Helena's missing year between seasons two and three). I love all these theories *cries tears of joy* Clayface plays a huge role in these final S3 episodes. There's so much I want to scream about and tell you but I can't without spoiling so damn much, but we are yet to see his real face. Cameron is a disguise as much as him impersonating Selina at the end of the episode was and so exploring his origin, as well as how he got roped up with Hush, is something that we'll scratch the surface of in 314 (but definitely but all out there in the open by 322). If this was The Dark Knight, "Hush" is The Joker, and "Clayface" is Harvey Dent. The Dark Knight Rises, it's Hush as Bane, and Clayface as Talia Al Ghul. That sounds crazy cause those characters exist in this show too but I just mean that you've got the A villain, and the B villain and Clayface's story has just begun Yay, Yin/Bennett getting some attention. I think they were in my top three favourite writing parts of the episode. I enjoyed writing that scene in the GCPD hallway where they interrupt Gordon. I also wanted to play on the fact that there are consequences for things that happen -- even minor details -- and so their introductions being tied to Gordon's actions in 311 felt like a good route to go down. I never actually noticed that we haven't really seen Gordon outside of the GCPD that much and looking at 314 he is in other locations so hopefully that'll be a nice satisfying change to his role. Thanks so much man. I hope 314 is a satisfying reveal of those answers, and is as enjoyable as this episode. I think these next few episodes for the season will raise questions that the following episode will answer, right up until the finale. So *latches onto you* you can never leave prematurely. Hahaha. But seriously, thank you so much. These reviews mean so much to me, man Honestly hasn't crossed my mind. I have been doing them, so I should be able to post today Thanks again, man!

I think one of the main things I want from season four of "Arrow" is showcasing the relationship of Thea and Laurel more. They rarely had, if any, scenes together during the third and it really shocked me because they're practically sisters. Laurel is pretty much the only female figure in Thea's life that she can look up to, and I think both women could benefit greatly from one another. I'd also just love a Speedy/Black Canary team-up, which I'm sure we'll get anyway. Aside from that, just the remembrance that Laurel, even if it's not romantic, is one of the most important people in Oliver's life., and that she deserves to be able to say goodbye to people who leave and to know when tragedies occur with her friends and family. I agree with all of this. I have one reason I'm really worried for next season, and one reason for why I'm not as worried. I'm worried because Season Three was promoted as a "big" season for Laurel and Thea, specifically. Guggenheim said at the beginning of the season that everything fans of those characters wanted to see for them will be done, and that it is a huge year for those two individual characters. As we know, it wasn't really the case. They had storylines that were massive but weren't given the attention they deserved. So for S4, Guggenheim has said it's a big Felicity/Diggle season (wow, that's new!) and my expectations have dropped immensely as a result. The less worrying thing is that there's a new co-showrunner for Arrow Season Four, and they're responsible for some really good episodes throughout the series. "Damaged", and "Salvation" were two of my favourites from the first season that she's responsible for writing. She also wrote "Crucible", "Blind Spot", "Time of Death", and "Seeing Red" in the second season which were all stand out episodes from that year that I can remember from start to finish. Lastly, in season three, she was responsible for "The Magician" (arguably a top five favourite of the series), "Midnight City" and "Public Enemy." So I have some hope for season four knowing that she's co-running it alongside Guggenheim.

Bit of a delay for today/tonight's episode. Time zones are weird. Didn't realise how much this episode needed a previously on and so I'm trying to piece together one now. Hopefully it'll be up within the next hour or two.

Well either way, I can't wait to see the 50th episode. That is such a milestone. Just wait till the 100th episode which happens to coincide with the series finale. Anything you want to share on the final two seasons of the hottest/longest running shows on the VPN? The way I would describe the last two seasons is the fourth one will feel like the end of the show, and the fifth and final one will feel like reuniting with an old friend for the last time. Season Four will deliver on all loose threads, and really tie the show up in a way that's hopefully satisfying and as enjoyable as the previous three seasons, and what I've got planned for the final season is a little unconventional but the only way I could end the show. Now, if I could just buckle down and get them done quicker than the rate I have been, lately.

REVIEW: 3.12 "Thief"It was really great to have Selina back in this episode. I love that, even though it's obvious what she's been through, that she still has that same charisma to her that's made her so lovable and a joy to read. Despite only really seeing her interact with Bruce and Kitty, her scenes were probably the main highlight of the episode for me, probably because she brings another mystery element to the show that feeds off of the one Hush is providing. Aw, that's great to hear. My biggest worry was that there wouldn't be enough of her, but it really is just her first episode back in the fold and the following two feature a lot of Selina Kyle. But yeah, I promise she'll get to interact with everyone on the show before all is said and done. It just felt right to start it off with a Selina and Bruce reunion. Dude, this has made me so happy. Thank you. I definitely enjoy writing this dynamic and it was another one of those things that wasn't really planned to happen (this season) but felt right during the process of breaking story. Definitely a lot more movement towards Barbara in her role as "Oracle" and a lot more to happen between her and Chloe as the season progresses This is a storyline that really comes to a head in 314. Introducing some conflict between these two were inevitable. Since having a daughter, Chloe has grown into a more selfish hero. She wants to save the city, but her daughter comes first in that equation. So the fact that there's this cure out there that she knows about -- possibly even has herself -- and a cure that she refuses to tell Kyle about who is really struggling of late... it's going to cause some complications. But I like writing these darker turns for Chloe because they really are evidently glued to a purpose of good: she truly believes that Kyle is the only one capable of stopping Hush, and without him, herself and her family, along with the rest of the city, will perish. So there'll be more of this storyline coming up in the next two episodes Definitely didn't want to hype this up as a "Riddler" episode. I was afraid his small contribution would be blown out of proportion so I really did introduce it as a minor thing. I'm glad that translated come time to air. That scene was very reflective of his introduction in the Hush comic book storyline. While he won't be playing as big a role, and may only be in this one episode, it was a lot of fun to bring him into this world. I'm glad he was taken for what he was in this particular episode The Helena/Dick relationship is a lot of fun to write because even though there is a sense of a love triangle (which I loathe), it's more tied into Helena's growth and development and S3 arc than whether she loves this person, or this person. I like that they're growing closer together. I've had little hints that maybe things have progressed a little between them in the time between the mid-season finale and now, but left it entirely up for the audience to dissect and make up for themselves. There's a big scene between them in 313 that will really address where they're headed, and what their future could be, should there be one. But in terms of friendship, that's always going to be there. I think seeing Huntress and Nightwing kick ass together just makes me happy so I can't scrap that one. Lisa plays a role in these last two episodes of the mid-season arc. You may be onto something The Identity Thief storyline was fun. It was nice to do that classic "oh my god it's THIS person" only to have the rug swept out from underneath and the true reveal happen. I kind of did that twice. Basically, with Kahn, I needed a stronger purpose for the "date" to take place because it would have been too left field to have all this chaos and then a date in the middle of it. So, I needed her to be on the list of suspects. And with Cameron, well you know the twist with him. There's more to be explained where he comes into it. But I'll bring that up in the next paragraph (I'm a f*cking dork, sorry). There is a lot of Cameron coming up in the next episode. He's definitely a new character, and there's not meant to be any sort of connection with him involved from the audience stand-point. He's kind of that character who shows up at the beginning of a Law and Order episode, and then at the end where you realise he's the baddie. Definitely wasn't expecting any Vicki/Cameron shippers, or anyone to feel something from the kiss -- whether it be betrayal, or disgust, or what have you -- it was purely to set Vicki's S3B arc in motion, which will revolve around grieving Mitchell, moving on from him, and opening her heart up again. As long as you understood the speech at the end, then I'm a happy man. The next episode really delves into this arc for Vicki, and she'll meet someone who will grow to be very special to her sooner than you think. There's a reveal with Cameron as well that I can already tell you'll be like: "Oh no, why?" But then 314 will kind of help develop that "oh no" into an "oh okay this is kinda cool." *fingers crossed* If not by 314, somewhere in between 315-322. LMAO. I'm making no sense at all but I promise there's something cool coming Thanks, man! I appreciate the feedback. You always pull apart an episode that allows me to talk about everything that went down in the episode, and that's so much fun for me. So thank you so much
