I had previously said that I was sworn off of new FOX shows, but I don't have the strength to pass up on J.J. Abrams. Plus, I'm a huge fan of Sam Neill! Synopsis When San Francisco Police Department Det. Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) is assigned to a grisly homicide case, a fingerprint leads her to Jack Sylvane (guest star Jeffrey Pierce), a former Alcatraz inmate who died decades ago. Given her family history—both her grandfather and surrogate uncle, Ray Archer (Robert Forster), were guards at the prison—Madsen's interest is immediately piqued, and once the enigmatic, knows-everything-but-tells-nothing government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) tries to impede her investigation, she is doggedly committed. Madsen turns to Alcatraz expert and comic book enthusiast, Dr. Diego "Doc" Soto (Jorge Garcia), to piece together the inexplicable sequence of events. The twosome discovers that Sylvane is not only alive, but he is loose on the streets of San Francisco, leaving bodies in his wake. And strangely, he has not aged a day since he was in Alcatraz, when the prison was ruled by the iron-fisted Warden Edwin James (Jonny Coyne) and the merciless Associate Warden E.B. Tiller (Jason Butler Harner).
Madsen and Doc reluctantly team with Agent Hauser and his technician, Lucy Banerjee (Parminder Nagra), to stop Sylvane's vengeful killing spree. By delving into Alcatraz history, government cover-ups and Rebecca's own heritage, the team will ultimately discover that Sylvane is only a small part of a much larger, more sinister present-day threat. For while he may be the first, it quickly becomes clear that Sylvane will not be the last prisoner to reappear from Alcatraz.
Through the course of the investigation, Madsen and Soto will learn that Agent Hauser has known about the prison's secret history and has been awaiting the prisoners' return. Soto will witness his life's work—the history of Alcatraz—come alive. Madsen will be forced to see everything she thought she knew about her family's past shattered, all while fighting to keep the country safe from history's most dangerous criminals.

Right, my list is in need of an update.
-- Lost -- Battlestar Galactica -- Breaking Bad -- Game of Thrones -- Alias -- The Shield -- The Wire -- Sons of Anarchy -- Doctor Who -- Fringe -- Angel -- Prison Break -- Nikita -- 24 -- Supernatural (Pre Season 6)
I'm just now getting into Carnivale and Deadwood. Pretty cool so far, but I haven't watched enough of them to add em to this list.

I watched the first two episodes of "The Secret Circle..." Let's just say, that just because Kevin Williamson struck somewhat gold....maybe 'silver' (lol), more likely 'bronze,' with The Vampire Diaries, doesn't mean that everything he puts out will be remotely as good....aka, what I saw of it was pretty bad

I hope Aimee gets free from her finals soon. Seems to be a trend here - so not looking forward to college, when it comes to the random tests every other day, it seems. Anyway, I know you and Maddie will be great in her absence

An amazing promo, for an even more amazing show! I'm so excited about Harley Quinn and her Mr. J! The back half of the season is going to SHAKE the entire forum up, and I cannot wait!
"People will die... starting tonight" -- (sighs) Let the tears begin... haha

I actually liked the Tenth doctor, just as much as the Eleventh. I think Matt Smith's doctor is much more cool, and funny in a "he cracks me up," kind of way. While David Tennant's Doctor was goofy, and playful and I couldn't help but grow to love him in his time as the Doctor. But, when it came to the companions, Ten definitely saw the best of them (Rose Tyler, Martha Jones, Donna Noble). I'm really not a fan of poor old Amy Pond, or Rory for that matter. But, I guess River Song makes up for it, quite a bit

I've never actually explored the movie format of scriptwriting. Doesn't mean it's not something I wish to get into one day, but I think I want to focus on tv writing for now. I'd be on board for more VS movies on the board though

No school today. I'm planning on writing, and maybe doing a bit of VPN promo editing in my spare time. In an artistic mood, atm. Hopefully it'll stick around.

Love the idea of the Help Center. Should be a great outlet for new and old writers alike. Also, it's good to see the forum opening up into more of a learning community. 2012 should be a great year for the network.

I for one am very excited for this, actually! I always love seeing people carrying on the characters and storylines someone else has established. That's always very interesting and I'm sure you'll go great! I'm so appreciative of everyone's support! I'm actually quite surprised, which just adds to the excitement! And where there is excitment, always comes inspiration for both writing, and making a stupid amount of new graphics for this show

WELL this is new.....GODD LUCK JASON Thank you Karl. I'll try my best I know when there's a shift of showrunners in the real world, there are usually some terrible, awful circumstances behind it, such as loss of inspiration or creative differences, but again, I'll do my best to keep the show as enjoyable as it is now.

As much as I love Trinity, I think its clear that Chris has a big future in the industry, and I truly believe that he will be a part of great projects in the future. I hope he goes well with everything he's busy with at the moment, and hope he doesn't feel bad for cutting down his showrunning duties for a while -- I know you'll do a great job in his absence, Jason! You both have my full support. I didn't really give Chris much of a choice in the matter. I kind of kicked him off, for his own good, of course. He's just been so worried about Trinity, he hasn't even started the projects that will get him a foothold in the industry. He really loves you guys, and this show, but I wouldn't allow it. I know, I'm bossy, but it's only temporary
