Tell us your favorite t.v. show in here, and tell why ya' like it! TOP 5 T.V SHOWS (RECENTLY WATCHED)1. Buffy the Vampire SlayerTo me, the best show that I have ever seen on television. Joss Whedon, the genius behind this series knew exactly what he was doing. With it's constant twists and turns, BtVS became my passion and is probably what inspired me to write. Season 1 was a bit of a disappointment for me, although it was just starting off, I expected more seeing as I came in on season 3 which was absolutely my favorite. All together, an amazing show. 2. Stargate: AtlantisI was quite surprised when I began watching this show because I have never been a big fan of sci-fi or space shows until I watched SGA. Which actually, was very recently. I stumbled across the show about 3 months ago and have already watched every episode Now, I'm watching all kinds of space series' including SGA's spinoff, Stargate: Universe and Battlestar Galactica which is equally amazing! 3. SmallvilleNow this show...is a good one. I stopped watching it for a while because I felt it was kind of falling of track, but I got back to it when I watched the 8th season. Now, I'm currently re watching the previous seasons. 4. One Tree HillDon't even get me started with this show! It's probably the first "high school" drama series I've ever actually liked. It started off as a good show for me when I was bored but soon became a favorite after season 2. 5. True BloodGOD is this an excellent show! Me, being an avid vampire fan loves this series with all my heart. I started reading the Sookie Stackhouse novels before even realizing there was a show based on them.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I think I can say this was the very first television show I ever watched, and paid attention too closely. I've learned all my writing, and creative energy from this show. Its influenced me to do so much, and its always good to sit down and watch it, again and again. I think the storylines are amazing, although I do believe the sixth season lacked a lot of stuff, but the show was changing, and it was a healthy shift to give us an amazing final season.
2. Smallville
I can not get enough. This is the next show that I can remember really paying attention. I've been with it every step of the way; through every timeslot shift, to ever cast member change. I am currently in love with the new, darker tone of the show, even though it is becoming batman-esque, though I am intrigued by two characters that seem to be losing screentime over the Lois/Clark story. That is Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack: best actress ever. Seems very down to earth) and Tess Mercer; reminds me of a better Faith Lehane (from Buffy).
3. Roseanne
I like a variety of different shows, and this is one of them. A comedy series. I am currently watching the series, and I haven't stopped laughing throughout. Its been a blast, and I only wish there were more than nine seasons, because I've almost finished!! Eek! I think this show is amazing. I can't really explain it, but its got believable characters, a sacrastic, hilarious mother with money issues, her sister: Jackie, who is by far the funniest of them all. We get to see the kids grow up, through their tough teenage years, to their "entering adult years" lifestyle. And its just great to see how they deal with everyday problems. I really can't say much else, because I haven't watched it all, but its been a great ride so far, and it keeps getting better. Best comedy around.
4. How I Met Your Mother
I first began to watch this, being a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer; hearing Alyson Hannigan would be in it. I knew she was in a lot of comedy movies before, and started watching this as sort of a "I wonder what the cast of BTVS are doing now". Its been hilarious! I'm so glad I found this show, lol. I love the style of it, how what we're seeing all comes together to form an important part of Ted's life, on how he met his kid's mother. The characters, also quite believable, and sort of resembles FRIENDS, in a much more "nowish" environment. I enjoy most of the storylines, I don't necessarily laugh throughout, as I do with the above show, but I think its a great find!!
5. Angel
Another Whedon Show. This is very hard to place. Sometimes I love it. Sometimes I'm annoyed with it. But most of the time I find it a pretty decent show, that lost the tracks towards the end of season three, and spiralled into something completely different towards the end. The character I enjoy watching the most is Wesley. He has got to be one of the most developed character in the history of television, or at least from what I've seen, which is not alot. I believe the first season, and the second were its most strongest points. The first season begun with Angel, Cordelia, and Doyle starting the whole thing, and I enjoyed that small cast little stories. It was very different from Btvs which is why I think it lasted its 5 year run. My favourite characters were Cordelia (the non-possessed kind), and Wesley.

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer The first Joss Whedon show I ever saw and I loved it! I loved the characters the most, But my favorite of all time was Anya. But the thing that brought me in was the writing, the way Joss made Supernatural Drama and making real life problems into supernatural ones! This is number one!!
2. Ghost Whisperer A show about a sexy woman who can see ghost who wouldn't love that! But the show is very creative and has many stories to tell, not just the ghosts but Melinda and her figuring out who she is! It just entered its 5th season and I am very excited for the rest of it!
3. Dollhouse Joss how do you do it! I love everything about this show, Eliza Dushku, amazing plot lines and Eliza Dushku. Its very original where people can become other people and play other persona's! Now in its second season we can see Summer GLAU! and many other Buffy/Angel alumni!
4. N.C.I.S This was not my favorite show when it started but I gave it a second chance in season six and it was beyond amazing!!! I love it! I love Tony and Gibbs the most. They seem to have many stories to tell and I cannot wait until they tell them!
5. Harper's Island Even though the series was only 13 episodes it was beyond amazing! A wedding party on a island with a dark past. Them being killed off one by one it seems very original!! I wish that they would make a season two like thing on a different place. But one death made me cry because I loved the character too much!
Off the Chart: The Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, Angel, Mad TV, C.S.I, Flashfoward, and Survivor.

1. Angel I've always loved Angel since I found out there was a spin off a few years ago. I still watch episodes on repeat and know basically every line to every episode in season 3! Love this show!
2. Buffy The Vampire Slayer This goes without saying. Amazing plot, amazing director and writer. A vampire slayer and her friends fighr demons and vampires. How could you not love it?
3. Charmed A series about sister witches known as the charmed ones, I used to think I hated this show but I decided to start watching it and I became hooked! Love this show.
4. Dollhouse An amazing series! I can't help but love it. As soon as the series came out I started watching, and I admit I was just as confused as everybody else, but I caught on. I think the reason this series has such low ratings is because people don't think it through, and realize what it's actually about.
5. True Blood Can't wait for the third season coming back in June! I love the characters Sookie, Bill, Eric, Sam, Tara and more. The acting is absolutely amazing and heartfelt. I've never read the books but I plan on it. Season 2 was the best!

1. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Buffy was one of those shows I couldnt understand why people liked it, and usually ended up making fun of them than one day when I was like 11ish and it was in its 4th season I sat down and actually watched an episode...than apologized to everyone I made fun of because it was an awesome show and will always be my favorite show.
2. ANGEL I actually remember liking Angel before I watched Buffy, I remember liking it because it was more of a guy show which only had Cordy and Fred as girls where as Buffy only had Xander and Giles, but after watching Buffy it quickly became my favorite leaving Angel in second place but a close tie.
3. Smallville Again not a show I orginally liked but a long surprising boring vaccation in Vegas when I was 14, lead to ablsolblty loving Smallville, I think its a brilliant show and I love Chloe!! and was really really mad when Jimmy left! Still am.
3. One Tree Hill One Tree Hill was a show I got into in its biggest and saddest episode afterwards I completly fell in love with it, my favorite characters are Mouth, Julian and Clay is starting to grow on me.
4.Supernatural Supernatual is one of the few shows I loved from the very begining Sam and Deans story is heartfelt and at times heartbreaking.
5.The OC The OC was a phenomon that swept through my school when the pilot afterwards everyone was hooked and anyone who was anyone watched the O.C, it was also symbolic that its last year ran along side our final year high school it made the show seem more special.

I guess i should do this aswell but I may have some different styles of interest from some of you but lets see anywhoo.
1. Charmed It is honestly in my eyes, the best television series to air. I thought it was fresh and engaging. Its concept was Sisters who happened to be witches which was great since it had a family oriented feel around it. The Supernatural essence of it and the drama intertwined made me obsessed with show. The actresses used on them were amazing and it was perfect. Its my main fuel for doing this continuation since I wanted to show my love growing even more with my ideas and imagination. Constance M. Burge is a legend.
2. Desperate Housewives
These bunch of mischievous ladies makes me laugh time after time. They are really amazing, the storylines are always refreshing and new. It is an all round great show that is proved by the ratings it receives every season. Just amazing, thank you Cherry Marc.
3. Heroes This is one series where you cannot be too safe because you might die. This is action packed with sci-fi thriller and amazing human pieces makes this amazing. I just love it, its genius and I can't believe its that amazing. Honestly, the twist and turns are really cool but the downside to it is that if you miss one episode, your lost.
4. Family Guy
Utterly hilarious. I love this show. Its so out there and so funny. I can't believe the thing they say sometimes and its family based which is cool. In my eyes, its the best animated comedy, way better than The Simpsons or Kings of Hill. Peter Griffin <3
5. One Tree Hill I really admire this series because it had the guts to do a time jump before other shows and it really got even better. I watched the high school years and now its like they grew up with me and it feels really great. I like the concept now, but its a little family oriented. Its a great show with great key points. Love it!

Smallville
The show that basically changed my life forever. This is where ALL my inspiration as a growing writer comes from. Plus, Its a hell of a awesome series. My favorite characters include, Tess Mercer, Chloe Sullivan, and Lois Lane. Maybe even Ollie.
Angel
I prefer Angel a lot more than the show it spun off from, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", though Buffy was amazing as well. I believe Angel had better stories, slightly more interesting characters and better action! Hands down and that's why it appealed to me more than Buffy ever did. That, and Amy Acker as Illyria.
Heroes
You're always surprised with this show. I think it's great how the show is made. Even though, in my opinion, the 2nd season was a bit of a disappointment. Aside from Kristen Bell as Elle. The show has really found itself and is "destined" for greatness.
One Tree Hill
Everybody likes a bit of drama, and this show just has it! Drama, all the time which is what I love. Can't really say much more about it.
Family Guy
It's the funniest animated comedy on television today! So, it's self explanatory why I love it so much! Go Stewie!
Other Shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Fallen, Skins, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, Battlestar Galactica, NCIS, Alias, Bones, House and many more.

1. Dollhouse My favourite show at the moment, so intellectually challenging, with even greater episodes weekly. Eliza has grown as an actress in this show and has grown my favourite character Echo in that process. And the rest of the cast is amazing, most notably Fran Kranz (Topher) for his hilarity, Tahmoh Penikett (Paul Ballard) and his ever growing love for Echo, and Alan Tudyk (Alpha) I mean, how can you not love how evil he is?
2. Veronica Mars The first of many to knock Buffy out as my favourite show. The complex mastermind writing, Kristen Bell's acting, the relationship between Wallace and Veronica, Veronica and Logan, and Veronica and her dad. Took a couple years before this got crossed out as my favourite. I love the details, the photography, and the investigating.
3. Joan of Arcadia I'm not one for religion, and I don't really assert myself in that department, but this show gave me a desire to think about faith and my beliefs. A lot of the philosophical intelligent scripts were superb, and it made me love Amber Tamblyn's acting as well as introducing me to my favourite actor of the show; Chris Marquette. I just love how this show never put one religion above the rest (except, I suppose, atheism, as God exists in this world) and it challenged everything. So down to earth and real in every element, and made me want to read up on Joan of Arc and ponder the idea that maybe she did see God and we classified it as a disorder for scientific reasons. This almost bumped off Dollhouse for first in my heart, but the last few episodes of the final season were in no way like the rest of the show.
4. Gilmore Girls I cannot count how many times this show made me laugh. The quirks and characters that aren't main but still have a special place in my heart. Didn't have a real final season in my opinion, because the creator left and everything went out wrong in such, but overall it was an amazing series. It didn't show that this was Alexis Bledel's first acting gig, and the mother-daughter bond between her character Rory and Lauren Graham's Lorelai will last in my heart forever. Aside from them, other notable character favourites are; Matt Czuchry's Logan Huntzberger, Milo Ventimiglia's Jess, Scott Patterson's Luke, and Sean Gunn's Kirk.
5. Supernatural How now that I know what I've learned this season can be connected all the way back to the pilot, is wonderful. The writer's seem to go above and beyond, and the brotherhood between Dean and Sam is beyond amazing. It's hard to believe this show will soon come to an end and I'll be saying goodbye to the Winchester's and their Impala, which is as much apart of the cast as they are. I love how all there is is the old rock metal kind of music and just how much I can connect with each of these characters and really see (for the most part) how my sister and I are like Sam and Dean in character traits. I love how connected they are and how every ripple from each season has affected everything.
Other Notable Favourite Shows that only just lost out to the top five; Roswell, The Vampire Diaries, How I Met Your Mother, Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tru Calling, Angel, and Heroes.

Apart from Supernatural, every series here is interchangeable.
1# Supernatural
The greatest TV series to grace my screen. I rock out to the music 24/7 (I'm a metalhead). The myth-arc is very well laid down, going all the way back to the pilot, with some of the most interesting bad guys and a very rare look at a sympathetic devil (he's still evil though). The brothers are the heart and soul of the series, and no matter what they can't catch a break. They make us laugh, cry and draw us in in some of the most well-developed TV characters ever made. This is a series NOT to miss.
2# Lost
This show cops alot of flak, and sometimes it deserves it. It has continuty errors, bad characterisations and just things that don't add up. Yet most of the characters are what draws me into the series every week. I hate the Jack/Kate/Sawyer love triangle, but I love some of the other couples (Charlie/Claire, Sawyer/Juliet, Shannon/Sayid.) The storyline can draw me in, especially if it contains Locke, Ben and Richard. It's flawed, yet the majority of the characters are what I look forward to each week.
3# Battlestar Gallactica
The GREATEST sci-fi series ever. It's based in space most of the time, yet the focus is on the characters. Everyone is characterised very well, even the Cylons. The story does get a little irratating at times due to lack of planning and so many questions not answered, but it makes up with the season 2 finale and Gaius Baltar. Out of all the sci-fi series out there, this one is THE best.
4# Angel
A show that was better than its parent in many ways. Season 4 was bad in places, and the whole Connor arc was a hit-and-miss, but the majority of the series was good, especially season 1,2 and 5. The series finale just showed how good the series can be. If you like vampire detectives, this is the series for you.
5# Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Joss Whedon created one of the most important series since the X-Files. Full of hidden metaphors and morals, plus taking the cliche blonde female and turning her into a kick-ass heroine. Along with her friends, all beautifully crafted, they saved the world one day at a time, all while trying to survive life. It had its flaws, season 4 and 6 poke out here, but the majority of it ruled. The Angelus arc of season 2 really shines here, with one of Buffy's hardest choices. Plus we got Angel from here, so what more do you want?
6# Veronica Mars
Yes, I'm breaking the typical 5# list with another awesome series. A female teenage detective. It could have easily failed, yet it didn't. With Veronicas sassiness, the mysteries and characters that we learned more about as we went along (Who didn't hate Logan in the pilot, but love him as the series went on?), the show was close to flawless. Season 2 and 3 did drop in quality a bit, but it was still an awesome series.
7# X-Files
This wouldn't be a true list without THE most important series of the last 20 years. A series about 2 FBI angents, one a believer in the paranormal, Fox Mulder, the other a sceptic, Dana Scully. It had a very deep mythology revolving around Aliens and the government conspiricy involved in it. The stand-alone episodes were also pretty good. Season 1 was weak in parts, but seasons 2-4 was where the real quality was. Especially with the episode Barry Duane. I have only seen the first 2 seasons and it is still FAR better than many TV series on today. All we need now is that X-Files 3 movie...
There are other series I watch, but just aren't up to the standard of the top 7:
Alias - Excellent first 2 seasons, then went downhill. It spawned the virtual spin-off The DSR on MZP which itself has 2 spin-offs, so thats good.
True Blood - A pretty good series, yet it just doesn't have that excellent quality about it. Plus Bill annoys me. Buffy must kill him.
Moonlight - A good series, cliched yes, but it worked. Decent characters and the possibility of a good mythology. Too bad it was cancelled.

1. Stargate Franchise
Been hooked on them ever since I was 15... love them to pieces and I do miss SG-1.
2. Alias
There is only one reason, Jennifer Garner.
3. Battlestar Galactica
An epic series, however I prefer the pre-New Caprica stories than the post.
4. Star Trek Franchise
It hit its peak with DS9, but still very watchable.
5. DR WHO
both old and new get me enthralled, though too many inconsistences let it down a little. and yet another return of the daleks, surely another enemy could be invented.

3: Kamen Rider Dragon Knight
A half-decent attempt to give Kamen Rider the Power Ranger treatment. Shame it was axed.

Wasn't a fan of NCIS until i caught epiusode 2 of season 2, been hooked ever since
1: Power Rangers
Loved the show from the first episode. May the power live on forever

1) Angel - Yep, I think it's better then Buffy. I just think Angel was more consisitently stronger then Buffy. When Buffy hit it's low points (e.g. Season 4 and 7) Angel was still going strong, well, maybe not Angel Season 4 but I still like it better then Buffy Season 7. It's the show which pretty much made me want to write.
2) Lost - Interesting to say the least! I love the characters, I love the mysteries and I love... everything. Although it got a little crazy towards the end, it was still fun. It feels like a bunch of geeks got together and just made the show that they felt every geek out their would just love and it worked.
3) Buffy the Vampire Slayer - First TV show I ever properly watched. Great characters and great stories made a great show. It does have it's fair share of weak points (we'll not mention Beer Bad) but it's still one of the best shows out there. This and Lost properly are tied for second place but I just put Buffy here for convenience.
4) Veronica Mars - I love Veronica. She's really funny but clever. Season 1 and 2 were spectacular and season 3 was still pretty good. I love the mysteries and trying to figure out who "dunnit" and I really l love Amanda Seyfried so I enjoyed her scenes the most.
5) Batman: The Animated Series - Very dark for a children's program. I used to watch this as a kid and my parents happened to catch the episode with Two-Face and forbid me to watch it after that! I got the DVDs recently and I actually love them.

Here's mine(in no particular order): -True Blood: You KNOW this show would never pass network muster, right? I mean, look at it...sexy as hell, a bit violent, plots that are outrageous if not off the wall, a couple to root for in Bill and Sookie. -Torchwood: It got away from the "monster of the week" stuff and became better. (Oh, yeah, forgot to say...it's back in 2011!) And may Capt. Jack continue to be the most interesting sci-fi character out there. -Battlestar Galactica(new): Frakking great series that just happens to be sci-fi...even if some of the plots near the end got to be too much. -BtVS/Angel: Two parts of the same whole which share a few attributes: good casting, great writing, etc. -Chappelle's Show: The skits are sharp and outrageous(especially if you get the uncensored ones!). Dave has no fear in parodying who needs to be parodied. It never fails to get some guffaws from me when I watch it. (side notes: Vex...I presume you've heard the Power Rangers are coming back? And I agree on Kamen Rider Dragon Knight...a bit more adult than PR, but at its core they're the same.)

Okay, I decided to do this again, this time with my favorite recent/airing shows. So here we go. (In no particular order)
1. True Blood Season 3 has been amazing so far and I mostly love the direction it seems to be going. I still stand by what I said before, True Blood is the best vampire series since the Buffy/Angel days.
2. Smallville It's finally almost over! I know, not the response someone would have if they loved this show, but I want it to end SOO badly. After season 10, if they'd go for a season 11, I'd stop watching. It would totally be overkill and I'd hate to see that happen. But anyways, the show still has me interested even though I get disappointed with it sometimes, I can't stop watching it 10 seasons in.
3. Legend of the Seeker I know...I know. It got canceled but I haven't lost hope. It's still a GREAT SHOW! With fantastic storylines, characters and AMAZING fight scenes/visual special effects. Ever episode, I find myself in awe.
4. Spartacus: Blood & Sand I mean...who wouldn't love this show, with the lines they put out?! "Once again the gods spread open cheeks and ram C**K in F*****G A**. Wow, that is unbelievable. The storyline/characters are awesome as well. hehe
5. The Gates Here's a new show that instantly caught my interest. It's got everything! Vampires, witches, werewolves, Sucubbi(?) lmao And probably a lot more. Even though I thought it would be kinda lame and it kinda is sometimes, I love the style of the show and I'll keep watching until ABC gets tired of it and cancels it.
What didn't make the top 5, but came pretty close?
Supernatural The Vampire Diaries Covert Affairs One Tree Hill??? Bring back Lucas & Peyton and we'll talk.

My list is ALWAYS changing. In no particular order.
1. Battlestar: Galactica I tried to get into this show a long time ago, but it was hard for me since I had just gotten into the sci fi genre and was watching Stargate: Atlantis at the time. Though both shows are in the same general genre, the two shows were almost complete opposites, as Stargate focuses more on the hardcore science fiction stuff and BSG has a lot of focus on the characters. I love this show because it almost seems real, LIKE...this could really happen! It's soo intense and just...wow! One of the best shows I've ever seen.
2. Being Human (US) I really didn't want to get into this show without watching the original version first but --- yeah, It finally got to me. The characters are soo interesting and different. They are what make the show amazing!
3. The Vampire Diaries The Vampire Diaries has done nothing but entertained right from the beginning! The character driven show has a huge cast with only a few I like but it doesn't change how interesting and entertaining the show is. Which is really hard to do!
4. Nikita Nikita is the ultimate BAMF! It started with Buffy, then Kahlan now...Nikita! She doesn't let anything stop her and she carries her show tremendously! Michael and Nikita are my favorite pairing and the whole series is just made of win! Anyone not watching this...you need to start ASAP!
5. V It started off pretty slow, but as the second season came around, V really started to kick off. The season 2 finale was AMAAZING and I'm hoping for a 3rd season. If it doesn't get one, I will be much disappointed because the cast, crew and fans truly deserve one.
