I doubt if Iron Man did make something to deter her it wouldn't last long. Remember the big ass machine Beast made in Endsong that lasted like 10 seconds? The Avengers just don't stand a chance.

It wouldn't last long at all. It might stop her for a few minutes, but it isn't going to last long and then she's just going to be MORE pissed off. In short, the Avengers are going to make this entire thing WORSE.

Exactly. Canon Avengers suck ass. Hopefully Age of Heroes Avengers will be better. AvX is gonna suck so bad even Sheldon is against it  |

I think the more recent comics and events give Captain America a bad rep...he is actually supposed to be a really sweet and loyal guy underneath this old soldier exterior...Maddie portrays him the way he used to be and SUPPOSED to be. I actually wonder when reading comics how much the writers actually like the characters they are writing for because sometimes with what they do it seems like they hate them. XD

There is no doubt that the Avengers in Age of Heroes are going to be better. And you won't see them getting into fights with the X-Men or Spidey for dumb reasons. In fact, they back each other up a lot.

@ Hayden: It isn't hopeful it is fact. This kinda of goes with my previous statement, but Maddie actually LOVE the Avengers (I do too by the way). Maddie will write them the way they are supposed to be and not the totally effed up versions I see sometimes.

Honestly, I've never liked Captain America, ever. I like Maddie's, so much so that one of the Outcasts' X-Men actually looks up to him (three guesses as to who XD). Maddie is also the one that convinced me that Iron Man isn't all that bad, either. I used to HATE Iron Man. Not anymore XD

I will admit...I used to hate the Avengers. It wasn't until a few years I got into them and now they're my favorite. Don't get me wrong...I adore the X-men SOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! But I just did a lot of research and read comics and I fell in love with them. I watch the cartoon too XD. I just see what they used to be and it makes me mad when people screw them up. Age of Heroes is going to be awesome because Maddie has a clear grasp of the characters and she stays true to them. There are somethings that are a little different like gender etc but...she really knows the characters inside and out....something I think more people are Marvel need to focus on.

I wouldn't mind the retcon but how they're supposedly going about it is stupid. Jean didn't Phoenix fry him because when Jean tried to hold his optic beams back, she accidentally let go from the power, sending him flying into the woods behind and knocking her out, unintentionally, with his optic beams? That's the worst idea since AvX
