Thanks so much for the read, David! I'm super glad (no pun intended XD) that you enjoyed this episode. It was totally one of my favorites to write so far. I really loved turning Sara into something she's not and how that would effect people around her. And I always love writing for Debbie. Thanks again!!

So, I finally sat down and read the rest of the pilot episode. And as I promised, here is a review...
1x01: Super Start (i) Super Premise, Super Writing, Super Start. I really like the idea of Bright Day, its something I've never seen/heard of before and unique to your story. The teaser drew me in straight away with the introduction to the mysterious Upsville killer, which i am dying to know who it is, but only time will tell.
The introduction to your characters and their powers, was nice. I liked how you show their conflict from the beginning, Janice and Sara don't get along and that's clear, so it'll be nice to seem them work together and build their relationship up as the season goes on. When they get home and they find out they have these "gifts" was pretty fun, the "it was my audition for the justice league" line cracked me up! And when Clark pulled the door off, I had a big smile on my face because i also thought "now thats cool" haha.
Sara is a character i'm not really liking so far, she seems to be too self centered and although she wants to resolve the arguments she has with Janice I feel that she is the cause of most of them. So i hope she becomes a nicer character as the series goes on other wise she'll just be annoying to me. However, i did like the scene where she blew the Thug away with her sonic blast scream, that was pretty cool. The mother Debbie is also someone i'm not fussed on, I hope this changes though because i have a feeling she could be so cool. Its just she seems like the worrying mum, which can get annoying after a while, so hopefully i'm wrong.
As for Janice and Clark I already love these characters. I usually tend to like the characters that are going through a hard time, as i feel sorry for them, and the fact that they usually have a more interesting story to tell. So the loss of her boyfriend Frank definitely makes Janice more interesting to me as i feel she's going to struggle letting go, but when she does get to that point when she's ready to move on, it'll be really great. Clark just seems like a load of fun! He is the Medium between Janice and Sara, which to be honest if I was him, I would just step back cause that is just too much drama:/ haha. But, i'm interested to see what Clark's story is throughout the season, i think he is a shoo in to be my favorite character.
Even though i feel like it helps towards Janice's story line, I feel franks death to have happened too soon, and the flash back, although effective, just begin to become a tad boring to read as we didn't really get to know Frank, so he wasn't important to us, nor did his death mean anything to us. But to see Janice's reaction does help those scenes move along.
The new villain introduced in Act 2? i think, Jonathan is a great addition. I feel like his power can cause some damage and is so cool xD reminds me of the video game infamous! Although, even though he is introduced as a villain i'm not quite sure he is, I don't know if he is going to be a threat to the siblings or a friend? So i'm interested to find out. Especially the way it ended between him and Janice, i'm not quite sure that he would hurt her. Speaking of the ending, nice cliff hanger, it really did make me want to check the next episode out right away! But unfortunately i'll have to keep that for another day.
Overall, I really liked the setup for this show, it was enjoyable to read, and in the end left me wanting more. I cant wait to see what you do with this Brady. I'm going to give it an 8/10.

RESPONSE: Jay Patteron's Review of 1.01 "Super Start Part 1"
First off, thank you SOOOO much for the review, Jay!! I'm so glad you were actually able to find the time to read this, and give me my first review. And the fact that you actually enjoyed it makes me even more thrilled. Ugh, I'm just so happy. XD
The idea of 'Bright Day' was a real struggle to come up with. It was just sort of difficult to come up with the whole concept on how the whole city would change. But once I figured out how I wanted it all to play out, it was easy! XD I'm so glad you enjoyed the teaser, and that it drew you in, because that's always what I'm going for. And, you're right, time will tell on the uncovering of the Upsville Killer, which is something I hope you really like as well.
The conflict between Janice and Sara really needed to shine in this episode, because it really continues on through the next episode. And really glad you liked the "justice league" line. XD I just had to throw in a little reference to my favorite super-team. Again with Clark yanking off the door, because, if I was him, I would totally be smiling the entire time. Haha!
Really sorry you're not too big of a fan of Sara and Debbie, I really hope that'll change, because they're two of my favorites to write for. XD Anyways, Sara does want to resolve her issues with Janice, but Sara has somewhat of an attitude, so maybe that's why she seems a little self-centered. Hopefully that characteristic will warm up to you, because Darrin seems to love her sass. XD And with Debbie, she will not be a strictly worrying mom. I love her storyline for this season, because it really tests what she'll do for her family, and to protect them.
Now I'm really excited you've got your favorites already picked out, especially Clark, because he's a hoot to write for, especially his role as "mediator". And with Janice, she's really at a low right and boxed up right now, even with the beginning of the series, and she will gradually recover. And, hahaha, you're not the drama type? XD Really hope Clark continues to be your favorite!
I've noticed this problem with a lot of people who have read the pilot, and, in the second draft, I attempted to fix it as best as I could, and this is how it came out. His death will play a part, towards the end, end of the season. But, yeah, going back, I totally see what you mean by his death.
Yay, you liked Jonathan! I always get nervous with introducing character, like, you have no idea. XD Ask Darrin. Anyways, he will definitely be the villain of the next episode. Jonathan is really psycho, to put it nicely. He's truly convinced that Bright Day was a conspiracy, and he's trying to recruit people to help him take down the Upsville Government... So, yeah. Psycho. XD
Thank you again, Jay!! Your review is so greatly appreciated, and it totally made my night. I probably won't get any sleep tonight, I'm just so excited. XD I really hope you continue to read episodes, whenever you get the time, and I also hope school is going good for you, because I know it can SUCK sometimes. XD But, yeah, THANK YOU!!!

^^ HAHA! We just had a conversation the other night where Brady was freaking out about another character he was introducing. Lol. And I definitely love both Debbie and Sara. I often discuss in great lengths that I would love to see Debbie have her own spin-off series. I love her that much Lol. And Sara has some of the snappiest, funniest, definitely sarcastic lines I have ever read. She lacks that little "tact button" most people have Lol.

Sorry, I know I said I was going to review last night but I feel asleep xD So here i go... 1x02: Super Start (ii)Right off the bat I was pulled into this episode. We got to see an intense and creepy side to Jonathan, which is really interesting and i'm hoping to see loads more of him. I noticed that you like your alleys, that's the second time that night they got attacked in one, i'm not sure i would like to live in Upsville lol. But yeah, Jonathan is a really interesting character, and its nice that the siblings want to help him, which make me want to know what he was like before bright day. Is that something that we'll see in future episodes? The teaser really got my heart racing, it was creepy. After the teaser I have to admit, I felt like the first act was a bit slow, and not much really happened as far as story progression. Maybe its just because i'm not the biggest fan of Debbie, I just felt her scene with Janice wasn't that interesting. Although I do understand why you thought a mother daughter moment was needed after all that's happened. The dreams/flashback's of Frank I feel the same about. I just don't think there's a need to go into detail about a character that's no longer with us, unless it majorly effects the overall story line. One thing i did like about this episode was Clark putting Janice in her place, man was she not half being a bitch. Act 2 picked up a bit with the introduction of Detective Ashlock, Jane Doe, and the Uucsio's. I have a good feeling about Ashlock, I can already feel a 'dark horse' favorite coming on. She is definitely not going to make the Knox's lives easy, is she? Which i'm sure is going to cause lots of drama! But i feel like she's not going to be a foe forever, i'd like to see them team up at some point. I felt like there were some funny moments from the teen's when they went to see Dr. Uucsio, which was great, i hope you add those we lines in there from time to time. "the front door reads: Dr. Uucsio’s Clinic for the Mentally and Physically Insane. CLARK Makes me feel right at home." That made me chuckle, as well as when Sara goes on to say "I'm not good at test's" just before the blood test, haha. In episode one i wasn't that keen on Sara but she was pretty funny this episode, so my opinion is slowly changing. Best line of the episode goes to Sara for, SARA (CONT’D) He pulled a Man of Steel. And I hit a high note Adele would beg for. I don't really have an opinion on the Uucsio's yet but i'm looking forward to seeing more of them in the future. Jane Doe seems like a cool character, so again i'm looking forward to seeing more of her. Act 3 and 4 is where this episode began to get really interesting/exciting. First things first, YELLOW BLOOD? say what now? I want to know why the hell they have yellow blood xD. After Sara has her "i don't wanna be a freak" moment she makes he way down stair to be greeted by the one and only, Jonathan. This fight scene was AWESOME! lots of chairs being flung and super powers being used. I really thought they would wind this fight and take him up to the Uucsio's but boy was i wrong. I LOVE being wrong (in this occasion only haha), because seeing Jonathan win that battle made me jump out my seat like a mad man. Is it bad if i was happy he won? #TeamJonathan In act 4 we open in an unknown location, creeepy! Where the sisters wake up, but where is Clark? Only tied up with electrical cables while being shocked like hell by Jonathan. This was my favorite scene of the series so far. I hope to see more fights like this, it really kept me on the edge of my seat. I'll admit there was one flashback I liked and it was the one where Frank told her she'd always be his queen, to which Janice said to Jonathan, "i was a queen". I thought that was nice. And to end Act 4 we have the sister making up, which works really well, now all is out in teh open and they can stop bickering and have some fun, or as much fun as they can get with Jonathan around. and to end Act 4, we were left with one unexpected twist. Now all I wanna know is WHO KILLED FRANK?! Act 5, Frank's funeral. This was a nice closure scene for Janice, now maybe she'll stop having those flashbacks? I'm not sure but it was a nice way to end the two part premiere. And just when you thought the twist where done, we find out that Dr River's is working with the 'Figure'. Maybe not 100% willingly but he is, I'm really looking forward to seeing whats to come of this. Good episode, Brady. Even though I felt like it started off quite slow, i feel like from Act 3 onward's made up for that. I enjoyed it just as much as the first episode which is why i'm giving the episode 8/10.

RESPONSE: Jay Patterson's Review of 1.02 "Super Super Start Part 2"
Thank you so much for the review, Jay! I love reading your thoughts, and I hope you find the time to read the other episodes, and enjoy those as well! ;D
Glad you really enjoyed the teaser, and thought it was creeeepy! XD It was a really intense scene, that really helped define Jonathan as psychotic. Also, I'm glad you're a fan of him, Darrin is as well. XD But I don't plan on bringing his back story in. Clark said that he used to always make up conspiracies, but if I can figure a way to incorporate it, then I'll totally go down that road!
I understand what you mean by the slowing of the pace. I guess I just pictured this as a huge two hour long episode, and thought some nice solid drama was needed, to contrast with all the intense moments going on. And again, hope Debbie warms up to you. To me, she gets better towards the middle of the season, when she gets her own special episode. XD The flashbacks for Frank were just to help Janice's storyline, but I can see that it would be sorta boring reading about a character you have no idea about. XD Also, Clark's frustration needed to be displayed, which is why he blew up on Janice, which made her realize that she was being really snotty. XD
I was really nervous about the introduction of Det. Ashlock, because, in the first draft, many said she was pointless, so I'm glad you liked her. She is definitely one of those "I want to find out the truth" characters, which is really what her stroyline is this season. Her obsession with the Knox's secret really begins to take over her life. She gets a little crazy. XD Also hope you end up liking the Uucsio's! One of them has a huge storyline towards the middle of the season. XD
I really loved writing those two pieces of dialogue. There were really fun! XD I hope you find more "chuckle worthy" lines later down the line, because that would always be a plus! And I'm glad Sara's growing on you. I love her so much. XD
Act 3 and 4 were totally my favorite to write for this episode. The reasoning for the yellow blood will be revealed in the season finale, so I'm sorry you have to wait. XD Glad you loved Sara and Jonathan's brawl as well! I always get nervous with action scenes, because I feel like I never do them right, but nonetheless, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Again, really glad you're a fan of Jonathan! But yeah, he had to win. He's crazy. He just had to. XD
I'm really glad you loved the whole "unknown location" scene, because that has been a highlight for me. I love keeping people on the edge of their seats, which I hope happens again! There's a fight scene in at least every episode, hopefully which live up to your expectations. XD Sara and Janice really needed to make up. XD I couldn't write a whole season of bickering, yet they do come to a crossroads again. Not gonna say when, just going to leave it at that. XD Also, the "who killed Frank question" will be revealed in the season finale! Gotta keep the secrets under wraps! XD
Frank's funeral was really personal to Janice, and I wanted to show that side of her, since we didn't get to see it all that much. And yes, there are no more flashback with Frank. I'm pretty sure. If she does, they aren't that many. Maybe one. I don't know. XD Yeah, Dr. Rivers is really torn on doing what is right, which is what his storyline focuses on this season. It'll come into play later! XD
Again, thank you so much for your review, Jay! It's nice to know that someone is reading and actually enjoying the series! I hope to hear more from you, and hope you enjoy the other episodes!

after much deliberation, I sat down and read part one of the Super Teens pilot. I went in with some trepidation, I will admit - the name of the series for one, while extremely to the point, sounded corny to me. Also, the whole 'town of Upsville' conjured up images of "Pleasantville", so I went in with this kind of image in my head. On the plus side though, I could completely see Cassidy Freeman as a hard nosed detective, and I enjoyed Britt in "Secret Circle", and am a big Logan fan after "Percy Jackson". Shanae Grimes though, I had no knowledge off, and Lori Loughlin I only know from a fuest spot on the "Birds of Prey" series, and her usage in MZP's "The Family Spell". I'm happy to say that I really enjoyed it - the "Pleasantville" image was dispensed with almost immediately, and I could really 'feel' the sibling tension from the first page, although I agree with some other reviewers that Janice simply feels like she's being a bitch for the sole purpose of being one - although this does allow Britt to be more 'Faye from Secret Circle' then her previous character of 'Cassie'. Also, the constant flashbacks seemed a little superfluous, just to spend more time on a character who died within the first few acts. Still, looking forward to getting round to finding out how the premiere ends, and just what else this 'Bright Day' phenomena and the Upsville Killer have in store for the inhabitants.

RESPONSE: Orbingmaster's Review of 1.01 "Super Start Part 1"
First off, thank you sooo much for taking the time to read and review the show! It seriously means so much, and it makes it even more awesome that you enjoyed it! Now, onto thy review!
The title of the show has been commented on before, and I have thought of changing it, but... then I thought, like you said, it basically sums the entire show up in a mere three words. But yes, I see what you mean of it being corny, but hope it will warm up to you. ;D I've never seen Pleasentville, nor as much as heard of it, so sorry there were some similarities.
I loved Cassidy Freeman in Smallville. She was forceful, and, basically, got what she wanted. I instantly thought she would be perfect for the part, and I'm super glad you think the same! Also, I'm glad you liked Britt and Logan as well- I've only seen Logan's work before, but Britt fit the part for Janice. XD
I want a major part of this show to be family, and with family, comes tension, so I'm glad you got the vibe within the first couple of pages. -checks off list- Janice was meant to be a bitch, but not because she is one normally, but because she's, literally, just saw her boyfriend's dead body. I can agree, though, that I think I went a little overboard with it, reading it back now. XD Also, the flashbacks I totally agree with. The reasoning for them are that I wanted to build up their relationship, just to show how big of a part Frank was in Janice's life.
Again, thank you so much for reading! I'm really glad you enjoyed it, and, if you get around to it, I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the rest of the series! ;D

Here's a little something I whipped up the other day, finally managed to GIF it, might make the whole opening if I can find decent footage of Shanae Grimes and Lori Loughlin without resorting to either buying or downloading a few seasons of 90210

I'm now REALLY tempted to download the first 3 seasons of 90210 just to finish this, probably will only include the Trips, Debbie and Ashlock in the opening though.
