Im already excited . Im also excited for Kyle's episode. I mean he only shows up in episode 2 and just reading those descriptions....he is literally in like all of these episodes Kyle has a huuuuge role this season. I'm really looking forward to peeling back all the layers of the character and establishing who he is in this Watchtower/Trinity/Smallville universe. He's definitely going to be labelled as a pivotal figure in Chloe's life, for sure, which means he'll be popping up quite a lot throughout the course of the season/series. Plus, one of the first original characters! *leap of joy* Well im glad that you decided to make an original character. I just have to ask, Why did you decide now to make an original character?

Well, there have been characters that are from DC Comics mythology that I've basically taken the name and just done what I wanted to do with the character. To name one of those, I'd say Guido Bertinelli. In terms of creating something from scratch, including the name, I just wanted to do something new. Coming into this season, the first thing that popped into my head was, "I want to build a character from scratch." And that's what's so exciting for me this season- I get to do that. Then I wanted to ingrain him a little more into the story by having him connected in some way to Chloe, and having this past between them that can throw him straight into the middle of the action as soon as we're introduced to him. Lastly, there's a lot of mystery behind this season- who is Hush? What has Selina been up to? What has happened in the year that we've missed? Where is Hope? Why is she so important? What is Chloe's purpose now? I felt like adding a new character only builds to the mystery. I can say, by the end of the season, he'll be one of the most pivotal characters in the series, and I reeeeeeally hope you guys enjoy his development, and don't, you know, despise him or anything, hahaha. XD

Because.....right now....her guy friend still thinks she's dead.hahaha And hopefully you realize that I mean Clark and Not Pete

I just realized, Bruce finally has Chloe to himself, abet as a friend, and yet another guy comes into the picture. Bruce doesn't have much luck when it comes to Chloe Sullivan.

Yeah, Chloe and Bruce have a bit of that "best friend" vibe going on this season. They're definitely closer, and been through a lot together so far. I mean, the guy spent an entire year trying to bring her back, kind of solidifies a close bond. Hahaha.
As for Kyle, he's not really the "bestie" for Chloe, but definitely a friend and someone she is going to be there for, and vice versa for him. I think, if I had to describe that relationship, its kind of something that I know has been what's been requested for a while and that is to see Chloe take someone under her wing. Kyle's quite inspired by what Chloe does, he has these abilities (which will remain a mystery until he's introduced) that can either be the greatest weapon for good, or evil, and he wants to be steered in the right direction. He looks up to Chloe, and she's going to try to guide him throughout the season. Its not really a student/mentor thing, because Chloe can't, you know, mirror his power, and show him how to use it specifically, but she can be there to protect him, save him, and make sure he can fulfill his desire to be good, and do good.

Dear god . Now im kind of concerned as to what this power is!!! I mean if Kyle could turn evil from this then.....Im worried for the Gotham Gang :/ Can you at least spoil something about Kyle's background?

If anyone was going to have a positive influence over someone, it would be her As for his background, I really don't want to give too much away. If I was to tease something I would say Chloe's already had some kind of influence over Kyle that she is unaware of, and it happened sometime in the past when they first met (somewhere between seasons 5 to 7 of Smallville). However, that won't be made clear until the mid-season finale, "Sacrifice". In his first episode, he's introduced to be involved with the League of Shadows, unwillingly, of course, and while we have Chloe on the side of good, guiding him in the right direction, there's Talia on the other side, trying to rope him into another. XD

ooooh!! so it's like Kyle is one of those cartoon characters with an angel on one shoulder (Chloe) and a devil on the over (Talia)... that will have some nice interplay between these two powerful female characters - here's hoping for a Chalia cat-fight!

^Hahahaha, well its more like Chloe wants to help Kyle do what he wants to do with his gift- to protect people, and be this force for good, just like Chloe, but Talia has other plans for him and can be a very manipulative genius when it comes to getting what she wants. You will DEFINITELY see a fight between Chloe and Talia. Absolutely! XD

I think creatively you have a nice set up for the third year as Chloe remains disconnected from her past life (Oliver, her mom, her dad, her daughter), similar to how your series began with Chloe disconnected from Lois and Clark. I do hope that we hear about Oliver from time to time, perhaps the return of his playboy ways, or even a relationship with Black Canary. I am for Arrow and Watchtower eventually getting back together, but it would be interesting to see Chloe's reaction to Oliver moving on without realizing it.
I also want to know if you ever plan on bringing in other GCPD officers and detectives?
How about Red X showing up at some point? Should I be suggesting this to your sister shows?

I also want to know if you ever plan on bringing in other GCPD officers and detectives? How about Red X showing up at some point? Should I be suggesting this to your sister shows? I'm really tackling this season, and the evolution of Chloe Sullivan's character, in a way that looks at the past, present, and the future for the character as we hit this mid-series point. So its quite reflective, and bittersweet in some areas, and does delve into what her path from here on out will involve. I'm hoping that this particular season will be the strongest for Chloe, and I'm definitely trying to write it as such- hopefully that translates. As for Oliver, we will be hearing about him in Star City. I can say there'll be those elements from the mythology involved, in terms of being a playboy, Dinah's role in his life, etc. In erasing Chloe Sullivan from his history, it kind of launches him in the direction of the comic books, which I'm going to make quite evident. For this season, he was a character that wasn't needed and in fact, his absence assists more for the story than him being a part of it. With that said, he will continue to develop offscreen throughout the course of the season, and hopefully, there'll be room for his eventual return. The question of who Chloe ends up with is something that won't be answered until the very, very, very last episode of the series, which could be anything from Oliver, to Bruce, to Kyle, to some other new character, and even to her not ending up with anyone at all. Those suggestions are something I haven't looked at. You could definitely run the idea by Chris and Karl over on Trinity and see what they have to say, and see if its something they can bring in earlier than I could (with Season Three pretty much mapped out at this point and locked in ready to write). So definitely bring that up for Trinity or Metropolis: Special Crimes Unit. Some of these suggestions I can take into account for later seasons, but I can safely say "no" for S3. As for John Blake, there will be a new officer introduced to us in the premiere, and he plays a bit of a significant role in the season. But he's not from the Nolan films, I don't believe, but is from comic book mythology. He'll be partnered alongside Gordon throughout this season. XD

Some new spoilers for the premiere-
UPDATED 20/5/2013 - Vicki is currently in a relationship when the series returns. The character in question has appeared in a small handful of episodes last season, and was expected to play a more recurring role in the season to develop a relationship by season's end. However, as we know, plans changed. "We're not too sure if the fans will remember him, but they had quite a lot of playful banter last season," Malone tells us. Apparently a lot of their scenes were removed due to time restraints, and while they couldn't tell the workplace romance story like they wanted to, "this time jump allows for a more interesting dynamic between the two." - One main/recurring character is arrested during the episode, while another main/recurring character escapes a possible arrest. - The wall of weird makes a surprise return. - Stana Katic will appear in the episode after all, as Talia Al Ghul. - A main character dies in this episode, and it will surprise everyone. Producers told VSGuide earlier that their presence in the opening credits was purely to misdirect the fans. - Another death is expected to occur in the episode, but will not serve as their last episode as the time jump allows the writers to go back and forth, and explore an entire year's worth of story with the character, who is described to be, "incredibly important to the story."

I would like to point out that Jack has said someone dies... but don't forgot Chloe, technically is dead at the moment, and has been so for a year by the time the third season begins - but we KNOW she is coming back from the dead. Just because someone else in the main cast has been labelled to be 'dying', it doesn't necessarily mean they will STAY dead if Bruce has this knowledge at his disposal...
