I would like to point out that Jack has said someone dies... but don't forgot Chloe, technically is dead at the moment, and has been so for a year by the time the third season begins - but we KNOW she is coming back from the dead. Just because someone else in the main cast has been labelled to be 'dying', it doesn't necessarily mean they will STAY dead if Bruce has this knowledge at his disposal... Alex is definitely onto something, guys EDIT: Plus, I promise there is quite a huge chunk of death-free episodes this season, thanks to Talia Al Ghul, who manages to bind everyone in life and death to one another. So you can thank her genius for that. XD

Pure EVIL. I will destroy you if you KILL off ANy of these characters.....Why do you even need to kill them?! I LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!!! I think you'll be surprised in what the outcome is. Its all for the purpose of the story. I swear! Hahahaha. II know . Im just stressing. Because I have become attached with these characters. Just like the ones on Trinity. The only members left from the original crew is Chloe, Bruce, Perry, and Helena. And I dont want to see any of them bit the big bullet just yet....Well Chloe is already dead but you know....i dont want the others dead

So, Jack. JACK. I'm probably eighty five years late to this, but I JUST SAW THESE NEW SPOILERS. I know, I'm like a turtle, BUT STILL. Anyways, it's really refreshing to know that there will be a number of death-free episodes this season! Helps my anxiety loads. And... -reads- Wait -- I -- what... "A main character dies in this episode, and it will surprise everyone. Producers told VSGuide earlier that their presence in the opening credits was purely to misdirect the fans."Breath, Brady. COME ON BREATH. Okay, anyways... -reads again- "Another death is expected to occur in the episode..."-takes thirty minutes to calm down- So, after reading that Talia binds everyone together for life, it makes me feel a little safer for these characters. But it also makes me think, "holy hell if anyone makes Jack mad he could go apeshit and kill everyone in one go," which doesn't help with the anxiety issue mentioned above. BUUUUUT. We have the Lazarus pit, so... But in all seriousness (pfft, like I wasn't being serious before), I'm super excited for this third season, and I can't wait to see how everything plays out! HOPE ALL GOES WELL EVEN IF YOU ARE IN A TOUGH YEAR OF HELL I MEAN SCHOOL.

-reads again- "Another death is expected to occur in the episode..."-takes thirty minutes to calm down- Hahaha, there are going to be a few death scares in the premiere, and some more permanent ones. The whole episode has that feeling in the atmosphere, and a lot of characters don't start the season in the best of places, which just adds to that. Gordon is in a coma, and they're preparing to pull the plug. Perry is off the rails again, back into his alcohol after so many years of being sober. Bruce is risking his life trying to bring back Chloe's. I think going into the episode aware that a few might not make it out alive really heightens the experience, and even without that knowledge, you're still going to get that vibe. HAHAHAHAHA. I'll just do four episodes this season, and as soon as they're bound together, just kill them all off. End of show, Hahaha. There's an idea! The most exciting thing about doing this "bound together" storyline is that it allows us to delve more into Talia's character. You know, in episode 7, Bruce's life is constantly in danger, and so Talia is forced to spend the whole episode with him, trying to keep him safe. It develops friendships, and humanity, and this own sense of mortality for her, that really adds to her development over the season, and how others may view her. But she's not black and white in any way, shape or form, so you never really know if she's changing, or if, you know, she just wants to stay alive long enough to do what she's set out to do. That, and it lets me think of other ways to get out of situations, and/or deal with situations, rather than "gets shot in shoulder, and is then saved by..." It also adds a lot of suspense. If Chloe is attacked by someone she is absolutely no match for, she's got to try her absolute hardest to not die, even if that means running/hiding, or what. I'm really excited about this element of the season. As for the Lazarus Pit- its something that, while it primarily appears solely in the premiere, it finds a way to pop up here and there throughout the season. Thanks, Brady! Right now I'm procrastinating this ancient history assignment, by lurking around theVPN. But can you blame me? I love this site soooooo much, hahaha. XD

Some new spoilers-
- Barbara Gordon is introduced in the episode, portrayed by Emma Stone. She will play a recurring role this season. In this episode, she spends most of her time in the reconstructed Gotham General, at her father, Gordon's, bedside. Gordon agreed to be on life support for a year, should he require it, and his time expires in the premiere. Barbara is faced with the difficult decision to let him go, or break the law. Producers suggest the latter as, "this introduces a lot of aspects of Barbara's character- passionate, emotional, sarcastic, witty, and bad-ass." She is said to share similar values of loyalty, love and family that Chloe upholds. Sensing a future sidekick in the making, perhaps? - Michael Caine told VSGuide in a short interview that Alfred is arrested for perjury in the season opener. "He's very much responsible for sending Bruce to Ra's, and after being away for a full year, he has to deal with the fact he killed the only family he had left," Caine revealed, ticking off one of our suspicions from earlier (a character is arrested). He went on to explain that when news breaks throughout the city of his involvement in Bruce's disappearance, Helena catches wind of it, and enlists herself as his saviour. "I think, in a lot of ways, they're two characters who get pulled into the worlds of those around them, and now they're making more bolder and more personal choices. They're a lot a like in that regard." - Helena's made a complete 360 degree spin from last season. Instead of craving a normal life, she accepts she was put in this world to make a difference, and won't let anyone stop her from saving those in need. Ewell tolds VSGuide its "the year of the Huntress" for her character, seeing how the vigilante life affects her relationships, and both her physical and emotional state. In the premiere, we'll see how this life drags in her new best friend, Lisa, as well as how it affects her new romantic relationship with- oh, that's right, producers are still very hush, hush on that (no pun intended). Although, they promise that we'll meet the new guy in Helena's life in the premiere, and the fans will be quite surprised at who it is. Any guesses? - Why has Selina been held hostage by Hush for a year? Where has she been? Why hasn't she been able to escape? All these questions will be answered in the premiere. Due to extreme rewrites, the character plays a much larger role in the premiere than previously teased. - Stana Katic will appear in the episode. She shares all her scenes with Allison Mack (Chloe), Christian Bale (Bruce), and guest star, Liam Neeson (Ra's Al Ghul).

GOOD GOD, SPOILERS. Okay... now I have some crackpot theories. Probably all of them are not true, but... WE'RE GONNA GO WITH IT. 1) I think Gordon will be the one to die in the premiere, and then when we jump back we'll see him, idk. That seems to obvious, but omg, idk. 2) I don't even know who Helena's relationship will be with. I was thinking Nightwing, and then I thought Lisa for some reason, again IDK, but then it says "guy" and I JUST DON'T KNOW BUT I WILL FIND OUT. 3) And I've heard... Selena's heart is cut out by Hush in the comics. Don't know if you're going down that route, BUT THE THOUGHT IS DRIVING ME MAD. And those are my crackpot theories for right now. Like, I'm super stoked for this season, AS YOU KNOW, but I thought I'd tell you again. Okay, that's it for me right now... BYE. OH. WAIT. I FIGURED OUT WHO'S HELENA'S RELATIONSHIP WILL BE WITH. Me.

Y aaaay, some speculation! The speculation on Gordon is interesting. There is going to be a character whose journey ends in the premiere, and we'll revisit them through flashbacks over the course of the season. The only giveaway that its not Gordon is that for the past year, he's been in a coma. Although, possibility of his death is still there. In the comic books, Bruce does adopt kids who have lost all their family and have become orphaned, and while Barbara isn't exactly a "kid" perhaps he takes her under his wing after the death of her father? I've really planned a lot for Helena this season, after having quite a bit of a slow-burner year with her last season. There's a line in the premiere where she basically says she can't pretend to be someone she isn't, and partly blames her desire to escape, essentially, her own identity to fit this role of a "normal" person lead to her father getting killed- she couldn't save him. So she's really focused on being Huntress now, and doing what she does best. That creates complications in her love life. On top of that, she'll have her own little "triangle" as well. So there's a lot of drama and a lot of action for her this season. In my head, I've already decided who she should end up with, should that fit into the conclusion of her story, and if not, we're going to at least see some good moments between them before her time is up on the show (whether that's at the end of this season, next season, or the series finale, etc). As for Selina, a huuuuuge part of her arc involves the mystery behind her ability to come back from death. That's probably the biggest hint I can give, and you've definitely got the right idea. And dammit! HOW DID YOU GUESS IT?! Brady + Helena = Brelena?

Awkward moment when your episode ends a lot happier than expected, with far less deaths, because its already pressed for time. Sadly, though, this means the following episode, "Echo", may involve one or two deaths. That said, I can officially say the season premiere has finally been finished, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. Whether or not it will air earlier than expected, or air November, as previously announced, is still up in the air. More news on that later. I just want to thank everyone for being patient with me this season. This year has been the hardest to juggle the amazing time I have on this board, writing Watchtower, and interacting with all of you amazing writers as well. I hope that the wait has been worth it when the show finally does return, and thanks for the all the support you've shown during that wait.

Dude, you're getting trigger happy again with the character deaths... HAHA. Totally kidding. xD But YAY for finishing the premiere of what looks to be a pretty freakin' awesome third season! You know, with tons of Helena. And hopefully you can balance your studies and writing soon because theVPN needs some AUSTRALIAN JACK MALONE. xD

You know, with tons of Helena. And hopefully you can balance your studies and writing soon because theVPN needs some AUSTRALIAN JACK MALONE. xD Hahaha, thanks Brady! This weekend is probably the only free time I have left before I have to start studying for my upcoming exams. School has become really slow this last term, and I had started to give up, but once I got my assessment marks back and they were actually really good, I'm kind of motivated to push through this last run and get good exam marks, so hopefully I can. Back onto Watchtower, I've started to break, "Echo" and figure out an outline for it. Its going to have a LOT of Chloe in it, so I think it'll be a lot easier to write. Part of the struggle with "Lazarus" was that Chloe was dead for a lot of it, so it didn't feel as natural, so out of that, following that, we've got a big Chloe episode. Some of the elements in the premiere had to be removed for time, in particular, Vicki's storyline of uncovering Bruce's secret. In the original draft, you'd have seen her put the pieces together, and then confront Bruce on it. Now, that's been removed (and she still plays a large role in the new premiere). I'm hoping to release a preview clip/trailer eventually. XD Thanks again, Brady! I can't wait for you to read this season

Awesome news, Jack! I'm really psyched for the premiere, and the rest of season 3. You've got a great story planned, and I really can't wait to see what people make of it. theVPN misses you and your writing, so I look forward to the day when you're able to get back on here more frequently. XD

XD Thanks Chris! I'm approaching the home stretch of high school, and only have about 15 weeks of it left. I don't think I've ever been so stressed in my life and I can't wait to be able to be on thevpn longer than 20 minutes, and get back to talking to you all, you especially man. As for Watchtower, I'm really excited to make this season the best out of the lot. You always here people label the third season as the best, or at least one of the most pivotal, so I'm trying to stay true to that TV tradition. This is my first go at creating an ongoing mystery that threads throughout the season (the identity of Hush) and I can't wait to break into that more and more as the season progresses. Although, I think I can already tell writing for talia al Ghul and how storyline this season will probably be my favourite thing

Spoilers for "Echo"
UPDATED 4/7/2013 - This episode is said to serve as a "part two" to the season premiere. Whether they will air separately or together is yet to be determined. Some mysteries and unanswered questions from the premiere are explored and answered in this episode. Producers told VSGuide, "both episodes effectively setup the season." - Chloe is sporting a new look this episode, with black hair, and glasses. Looks like she'll be taking a note from Clark Kent, as producers tell us, "Chloe is trying not to be selfish in her return from death, determined to keep it a secret from those she cares about." This episode deals with ghosts of her past, as she weighs up life as a reporter, as Watchtower, as a mother, against all the tragedy she's brought into people's lives. By the end of this episode, she will have decided what path to embark on. - The episode features a sub-story with Helena and Perry which involves a growing crime mob in Gotham City, referred to as "The Deadly Sins" (as there are seven members). This marks one of the few times their storylines have joined them together. - Chloe stumbles across Kyle at the League of Shadows base, where she discovers they've both been kidnapped as "instruments" against Ra's Al Ghul. However, when a mole is found within, Kyle is utilized sooner rather than later. - Gordon plays a large role in this episode, as he reopens the missing persons case on a quest to uncover Hush's agenda, and save the missing people of Gotham. - Alona Tal guest stars in this episode as "Holly Robinson." The character, who was kidnapped in the Season Two finale, is said to play a huge role in the quest to find Selina Kyle this season. The fan-favourite is confirmed to appear in both "Lazarus", and "Echo", and, understandably will appear throughout Eliza Dushku's returning arc. - Bruce and Vicki's friendship suffers a massive blow. - Two main characters share a kiss. - Despite recent speculation, Talia Al Ghul does appear in this episode as well. - Another character dies in this episode.

Awesome spoilers, Jack! After the one about Chloe and her new look (black hair and glasses) my mind drifted a bit, so I had to re-read the entire scoop. lmfao! But oh my god, you sure do like killing off characters. I wonder where you get that from... lmao! And Helena/Perry interaction sounds very interesting. "Echo" sounds awesome. Can't wait for it!! XD
