I like the idea of Lois becoming a recurring star. It would fit nicely. Plus it can really help the viewers see the Lois/Chloe dynamic that was so relevant in seasons 4,5,and 6 Yeah, I loved their dynamic on the show. Back when I was doing the first season of Watchtower, and was mapping out the seasons, I had planned to bring Lois in during the third season in a recurring role, but as I came to planning it now, the storyline changed quite a bit, and she was pushed out. Plus, back then I didn't know I'd bring Vicki in (like, at all), and in terms of "roles", Vicki has that reporter thing going so finding something that Lois could own herself on the show is quite difficult. But I'd definitely want to bring her in. XD

Nope, nope, nope. Will not happen, CANNOT HAPPEN. *cuddles Helena; threatens with Audition cancellation* Hahahaha, that is NOT fair! You can't take Audition from me. YOU SIGNED A VIRTUAL CONTRACT. But ohmygod. What if it all makes sense now? Who is Lisa? Could she be Huntress, taking over where Helena left off, because Helena has died in the premiere? WHAT IS HAPPENING. *evil laugh*

I'm really sad that you weren't able to do that episode in season two with Chloe going to see Clark!! He and Bruce will be butting heads a lot!!!

^I think almost every season so far there's been a failed attempt to bring Clark in. Season Two kind of established that he wasn't currently on Planet Earth anymore ("Alien"), but he did appear in the "War" two-parter. So he knows Chloe is alive, and she kind of felt like he was there in some weird way, so I have gotten to do something with him. There's just a believe-ability factor that goes out the window when you introduce the man of steel here- when Bruce and Chloe fail to save someone, or the city is being attacked, its that question of "why couldn't Superman show up to help them?" And I don't want that.
You'll see Clark a few times this season, though, just not necessarily the same Clark from 'Smallville'. We've got Earth-2 Clark returning, and there's an episode coming up, called "Countdown" that will have him, and that Chloe/Clark friendship, in it. My big idea to bring him in is to do an episode where somehow, either through Red/Silver Kryptonite, magic, mind control, you name it, Superman is out of control and you've got this Superman/Batman conflict. I think that's something I'd want to do- when, is the question. I think, having Batman be introduced to Superman in a way that makes him think, "yeah, its great he's a hero and all that, but look what can happen when someone turns him into a weapon, or he loses control- he's the world's greatest threat."
In the back of my mind though, I've always thought that for a while now, Superman has left the planet and left Lois on some kind of mission that takes him away for an extended period of time, and so Lois is feeling a great deal of isolation, and is craving for that familiarity with Chloe, with Oliver, and of course, Clark, but can't because they're all out of her life at the moment. That could lead her to Gotham for a number of episodes, building up to Superman's big return, where he's not the same man that left, and she wants to find out why, while the rest of the world is in this state of shock that Superman has kind of made some grand return in a much darker way. That ties into the "red/silver K" or mind control/magic story I wanted to do where he's being used as a weapon against mankind. So I think I'm going to go down that route this season, or next. But even writing Lois in "Lazarus", I had that mindset the entire time, that she's completely alone in Metropolis.

So you're basically confirming that Superman is off world still coming into season 3?! Good . Don't you love my questions?! Also....the Superman/Batman red K/silver L storyline would be a good one . Considering Clark going evil could bring the old gang back together. (ex:Chloe,Pete,Lana,Tess and Oliver) and also have Clark learn about Chloe and Lana's new lives, and also that certain people have new lives. Also something else I would love to see...Future Hope interacting with Helena, Bruce, and Lous and Clark

Not officially, but its definitely something I've always had in the back of my mind, especially writing "Lazarus" with Lois for the S3 premiere. I'm not sure its something that would work too well for a major crossover like that, purely because a lot of the focus would be on Chloe/Lois in trying to preserve the man they once knew, and Bruce being a lot more militant in his approach, learning about Superman, and establishing that iconic comic book relationship. Hope will be interacting with a lot of people, but I can probably say now that Lois and Clark don't factor into that at all. At least not for season three.

Well I'm okay with Chloe and Lois doing it . Would make for better drama that way! And also seeing Bruce try to stop Clark with the kryptonite would be fantastic!!! And I'm okay with Hope just interacting with the Gotham Gang . Which by the way, should totally be there team name Also...I'm a little bit curious would Lois or Chloe try calling in the troops to slow Clark down. Or would Bruce be trying to round up the troops?!hahaha Sorry for all the questions . I'm playing Injustice and all this talk of evil Clark is making me flash to this game

I've been having some of the same issues as I plan out M:SCU, trying to have crimes that warrant special attention, but aren't TOO big that someone would just ask "Where's Superman?" Now that it’s essentially been established Clark IS off-world, I think I might go back to the pilot and add a throwaway line that he is AWOL, just to cement the case Maggie makes about not relying on superheroes all the time. Have to add, LOVE the idea of Batman meeting Superman under those kind of conditions - it would cement the fact that this is the man who carries a piece of kryptonite around all the time JUST in case.

@karl: Hahaha, I don't know why but I'm always so opposed to the idea of giving them a "team name". So against it, hahaha. I think its because, in a way, none of them really fit in, and for the most part, they don't really have a team together, and what they used to be was small compared to the league, and now even that has disintegrated. But considering for what I've got planned for a possible fourth season, I'm probably going to have to start thinking of some cool team names... hmmm. Hahaha.
I saw Man of Steel recently, and I like seeing the police getting involved, the army, etc. So I think Superman, out of control + Gordon and his men trying to figure out what to do, calling off full-fledged attacks, while he's negotiating with Batman what his tactics are, what he thinks is the best approach, etc. I think that would be pretty cool. Primarily, though, I'm in it for the Bruce/Clark (Superman/Batman) aspect to really set up that iconic relationship, whilst dealing with the emotional aspect of that "not the man we've grown to love" side of things with Chloe and Lois who know him better than anyone. I like the whole moral struggle of not knowing if it's really the person who left coming back, or someone else entirely, whether or not its right to hold onto the past and try to find what's missing, and bring it back, at the risk of the entire city/world, or destroy it (killing/losing one to save the many). All of this is all very hypothetical at the moment- for this season, at least. I want to do this story soooo bad, just don't know when yet. It will happen. Maybe as a special, or like I said, season four (or it could even fit into S3) I don't really know.
@alex: Ooh, sweet- then its official, Superman is not on Earth anymore. I'm glad you understand me; on one hand, its hard because Chloe/Clark have had this huge friendship and I'd love to see that return, but at the same time, Superman is a card that can pretty much ruin any storyline- think about The Dark Knight; Harvey Dent in one place, Rachel in the other. Don't worry Batman, Superman saved your girlfriend before The Joker could even finish handing out the instructions of the game. Like, it just would be on the back of my mind, and if it came up in reviews, I'd be like "ahh, well true, Superman could have totally...just...saved everyone- End of series." HAHAHA.

I love all this Superman talk, and I love the fact that he's off-world. Having Superman around is just really bad for dramatic tension, is all I'm sayin'. lol
Also Jack, your idea for a Batman/Superman story on WT sounds really great. I hope you're able to go there eventually, because it'd be an epic plot point. I've always loved when they've pitted Superman and Batman against one another, and seeing that here would be amazing.

Thanks Chris! Yeah, maybe Batman can borrow Tess' kryptonite knuckles, hahaha. But yeah, ever since "Alien" where Bruce went up against Zod (which was meant to build up towards Superman coming in and doing a Superman/Batman episode that season), I've been wanting to do an episode like that. So, I'm about 80% sure it'll happen eventually.

Also Jack...you need to start figuring out a team name. I mean...considering you can't use Justice League. And also according to you, S4 is going to have a "BIG ASS HOME TEAM" I'm honestly excited for all of it. And wait....one question that eludes me....Hope. What exactly does she do in the future?! Will we get a look at that?!

Either I'll eventually have one especially for season four or I will just leave it how it is. I mean, speaking of the mythology here, this kind of team never even happened and there's teams within this like the birds of prey and stuff so, yeah I don't know. I'm pretty sure there will never be one and that's fine. But we'll see. We will see bits and pieces of the future hope comes from and especially figure out her journey to coming to the present; we won't be spending an entire episode in her world though.

Well honestly a lot of things aren't supposed to be canon but as you know...smallville has defied the odds before So work on those team names . Besides we have one for Lana and her crew Also...Hope is gunna be my favorite. Although Mia will always be my number one. . Which by the way...she needs to pop up!!!

Haha, I still don't see it happening. I'm 75% sure its never gonna happen. But on the off chance it does, I don't want to be like "I KNOW I'LL NEVER MAKE A TEAM NAME!" I'm just, well as I said like heaps of posts back, really against the idea of it. As for Hope, I'm excited to write for her. I hope she lives up to whatever your expectations of her have been. She may be a lot darker than you'd expect, though. So keep that in mind... Dark, in the "extremely determined, won't let anything get in my way" kind of dark. Hahaha. Mia, on the other hand, well... she could come back sooner rather than later
