I read 'Prototype' last night but couldn't review it then because I really needed to sleep if I was going to be able to get up on time for my 8am Uni class XD Anyway, since I'm waiting for my class to get started I figured I could review now. Firstly, I think I'm going to give the episode a 7 also. Realistically I think it's more of a 7.5 but you don't have a voting option for that so I'll just go with 7 I did like all the action in this episode, it made it very exciting. We were getting all these plot elements thrown at us that made it a very fun and fast-paced episode. Maybe a little to fast in some places (a couple of times I felt I wasn't quite keeping up with the story) but overall really good. The whole Bruce working for Checkmate? Did not see that coming at all. I think I may have literally gaped at my laptop screen when I read that. His storyline was good though and the interaction with Oliver really helped to open up his character a little. As you predicted I did like Helena a lot more in this episode. I love how she works with Chloe as they do their whole job as Huntress and Watchtower and her and Mia were also quite good together also. I have to agree with loving Chloe and Perry together. You can tell he really cares for her, especially since he defies Amanda to try and keep Chloe safe. He'll (hopefully) be a very good friend to her for a long time to come. The Chloe/Oliver interaction was spot on as usual. I love how you portray them together And Chloe herself was fantastic in this episode. I like it when she gets out in the field, even if I does end up badly for her, like it did this time XD Overall another fantastic episode and I look forward to reading episode 3 when it comes out next week

Thanks MJ! On the thread you can have 7.5 (and point other numbers too) just on the poll you have to pick a number that isn't a decimal. Thanks Thanks haha I really enjoyed writing this arc for Bruce. It was a fun twist and a good way to show his darker roots and his past -- more to come on his character in the next episode I'm sooo glad!! Thanks! Helena will slowly become Chloe's best friend (you know, other than Oliver) and the two really connect and are there for each other as the season progresses. Yeah, I'm pleased that came across -- Perry really does care for Chloe and doesn't want to see her get caught in the crossfire of Waller's wrath. Although he didn't have a big place in this episode, it was still very crutial. Haha, thanks again MJ. I loved reading your review and thanks for rating it! Overall another fantastic episode and I look forward to reading episode 3 when it comes out next week [/quote]

I'm going to give it a 7 as well. My favorite parts were Helena actually. I really like this character, though I was surprised by how buddy buddy she is with Chloe. I thought there would be more of a progress from her 'everyone's against me' attitude, to this. I loved the Mia/Helena scenes. Added some humor there. I understand why Mia wasn't all kickass because...hello!, Just got the crap beat out of her. I was actually surprised she was up to going out as is LOL! Poor Mia, but she sure put up a heck of a fight in the teaser. That was another of my favorite parts. As much as I loved the Chlollie, I felt it was misplaced at times. I don't know. I just didn't feel Oliver's urgency to find Mia. She called said 'Help me' and was cut off. I was expecting more of a reaction. And then at Watchtower with the sexual tension (which I always love) but seemed to lighten a moment that should be more urgent. I did so love that passionate kiss. No complaints there When Perry fired Chloe I thought 'What? She's just gonna walk away' but then you had her spying and finding out the truth, so that was nicely done. That's the Chloe I love! I would still like to learn more about that Perry/Waller connection. ok I really had to LOL at the Waller/Emil stuff and how he just 'forgives' her for shooting him and they go on working together. I love the way that frames their partnership, but the whole time I was thinking...um, isn't he shot in the gut? What am I missing? My jaw dropped when it was revealed that Bruce was working with Checkmate. That was a really good surprise and I liked the whole background on that. He's on his way! I loved the end with Chloe breaking down realizing she can't do it alone. And how she felt Huntress and Mia did all the saving. And then YAY! Chlollie! Overall, another great episode, but I definitely liked Legend more.

Haha, thanks! I wouldn't exactly call them the best of friends yet, there's still stuff to expand on before season's end, but in saying that, with 13 episodes only in this first season, some things needed to move along faster and if you read the last scene Helena is in on the pilot, you'll see she's that way in this episode. So Helena made that progress in the first episode, from being a solo 'me against the world' attitude to where she finally became apart of the team in that "Watchtower is officially online" scene. LOL. "I'm not a superhero, I'm a sidekick!" -- I really wanted to get that across with Mia. She has a long way to come before she dones her 'Speedy' identity and becomes a hero. I'm glad you liked her in this episode, Helena/Mia made good for the comedic side of the situation, and I hope you'll continue to like Mia, especially in the fourth episode The thing was Oliver didn't really know what happened to Mia, and sort of jumped to conclusions. There wasn't as much urgency there as probably wanted, but with all the other overlapping plots about the Chlollie relationship, Amanda Waller and Emil Hamilton, I really had to keep things moving. Too much of Oliver worrying wouldn't moved the plot along, when divulging in the Chlollie relationship would at this point of the episode (especially after that teaser). Haha, thanks! Thats what I was thinking when I was writing the scene and thats how I came to the conclusion of Chloe finding out whose really behind this. Because it wouldn't be in Chloe's character to just walk off, especially after the quick firing Perry gave her No you didn't miss anything haha. I wouldn't say he forgives her, but once Waller had grabbed Chloe she knew Emil would have to be apart of it. So instead of working together it was more working on the same thing. And yeah, he still was walking around with a wound, but lets just say it wasn't so severe The Checkmate story really helped shed more light on Bruce's past. And you're right, Bruce is definately on his way to becoming Batman. This episode we learned that he needs a purpose in his life. Something to live for. A lot is coming up with Bruce (his dark patch really explodes next week), but in the last two episodes of this first half you'll begin to see him find a purpose. I wouldn't say its the purpose he needs, but its a start. Thanks! I loved writing Chloe's breakdown -- it was building up for a while haha. Thanks again!! I loved reading and responding to your review, and thanks for rating the episode for the network!

Okay...I just finished reading "Prototype" and I have to give it an 8. The episode had a lot action and answered some of my questions . So here is what I thought of each character in this episode. The ending was very good . I have to know...Will we know if they kissed in the next episode? Chloe: Well Ms. Sullivan sure does love getting in trouble. I mean first she tries to help Oliver find Mia, and then gets attacked by an assassin sent by Emil and Amanda and then she is strapped to a table where she is going to be dissected. I love how her character is going through these obstacles along with dealing with her repressed feelings for Oliver. I also love her little speech to Amanda about how she is Watchtower and the building isnt anything. Chloe is my favorite. I also love how she is fighting alot more Oliver: His storyline in this episode was pretty amazing. I mean first him and Chloe's relationship, and then Ollie and Bruce go at it about his betrayal. All in all i think Oliver is having the same harder time that Chloe is having. . I also like how he left Mia at the Bus stop and sort of almost got her killed. Bruce: Okay this one as a bigger shocker for me. I cant believe that he is apart of checkmate. I at first thought it was suspicious that he knew about WT but now it makes sense. I felt bad about how Bruce is. I mean Waller does have a habit for it. I have a question: Is Bruce still with Checkmate even though he knows there not on the up and up? I also think that its bad that he didnt know about any of this. This will really help his resolve into becoming Batman Helena: I LOVE HER . I mean she saved the freaking day and she doesnt even have powers . Her and Mia squabbling was the best thing in the world. Are the two of them going to become friends? I also loved the scene between Chloe and Helena. It was very special of Helena to give Chloe advice. Are they going to be like besties? All in All I love her Mia: I love her. I also loved how she put up a good fight. Thats all i have to say about her. Although i have to ask...Why did she come to Gotham? Perry: Him firing Chloe pissed me off. Although I knew that was for her own good. When will Perry find out her secret? And will Perry still be hunted by assassins? Amanda Waller: Love this Lady . Now she is a beast. Is she still going after heroes? Also I loved how she got the text about Odyssey. It works out so well to bring in Trinity Now here is my other questions: When is Mia throwing on the gear? Is Chloe going to get her powers back? Will Bruce and Waller become allies like in the cartoon? Also will Bruce join the league? Will we get a sneak peek at the Teen Titans? Since Mia is one of them? ALL IN ALL I LOVE WT CANT WAIT FOR EPISODE 3

That final scene is what brought Chloe and Oliver back into their relationship. So its official now, Chlollie is an item. And thanks Karl!
Haha, I really wanted to get that across. "Watchtower isn't just a building or a hard drive for you to drain. Its me. I am Watchtower," because its true. She holds more information than any computer - she's experienced more than any computer. And in the end, she's the hero. Not a computer or a building. So I really wanted to get that across.
Yeah, Oliver and Chloe are going through similar things which leads them towards one another. I'm glad you enjoyed his story this episode!
Haha, I just cleared up a storyline by accident. I never intended Checkmate to clear up why Bruce knows Chloe, but seeing as I never planned one, lets make that official. Bruce is on his way to becoming Batman. You'll definately need to check out the mid season finale to see it culminate in his first big step to becoming the Caped Crusader.
Yep! Helena will slowly become Chloe's BFF.
The whole concept of this season is war, at the moment. A war between two characters, two teams, Chloe and Emil. And Mia gets brought in by Oliver because he wants to ready. They're recruiting. He wants Mia to be apart of this.
I can't say if Perry will find out, but Perry has a huge arc in the second half of the season that does come to a head towards the finale, and I think you'll all like it. Its a huge Chloe/Perry arc that I've enjoyed mapping out and will love writing, so I hope you guys enjoy it too. And no, Perry is no longer being hunted by assassins, but Checkmate seeps its way back into his life in episode 4 "Deadshot".
Check out Trinity, is all I can say. The ending with Waller in this episode was to push her back into Trinity. Chris thankfully allowed me to do this story in these two episodes, and I'm so appreciative for it, but I had to bring Waller back to where she belongs at the end of it. So check out Trinity to see Waller's story from here on in.
Hmm. Sooner than you think.
Healing powers, no? But someone will be getting powers in the mid season finale, so you might enjoy that story as it plays out when the show returns from its hiatus.
No. Waller's story has ended on Watchtower. Except for any crossovers Chris wants to use her in.
At the moment, no. And I haven't planned any Batman/League stories for season 2 yet, but don't give up hope.
Never say never -- quoted by the Smallville writers. Short response, but I don't want you to give up hope on that. Mia's story is a tragic one as this season progresses, and you'll have to see how that plays out.

You tease! What a great read! I love what you've done here. I love how dark Bruce really is, and that Ollie is right there on his back, taking him to task for his actions. Waller and Emil, well, they're just beautifully evil, aren't they? The Huntress and Mia were a laugh. The whole interaction between Ollie and Chloe was nicely done, as was the ending. Thank you.

This series looks really interesting and as Batman is my favourite "super"hero I was greatly intrigued by this series. However, I never watched Smallville and I was wondering if I would still get this series even though I haven't seen Smallville?

However, I never watched Smallville and I was wondering if I would still get this series even though I haven't seen Smallville? Absolutely. The show has been set up so you don't have to know background details. There are references but no big plots that pop up that make you go "I don't know who that is or whats going on?" So yeah, I'd say check the pilot out and see if you like it haha, and welcome to VPN

"Wonder" was great. I give it a 8. It was so good to see Jayna and Zane again, they didn't change a bit. I adore their relationship with Chloe and how even if they they're fans of The Blur, they also recognize the true hero that is Chloe. I was sad that they didn't stay to be a part of Chloe's league but their goodbye scene was made of win with Chloe telling them that they'll become hearoes when their turns come. She had that mother attitute with them and it reminded me of how Perry acts around Chloe.
Oliver was great as usual and I just realized that Bruce don't know that Oliver is the Green Arrow. Their scenes were very intense and I feel like Bruce is loosing himself even more than when we first met him the premiere. His inner demons are killing him each day even more. I found it interesting that all the memories that he was trying to forget somehow came back by the time he met Chloe. I can't wait to see more of that. I love how Oliver is trying to help Bruce and won't let him down. Gotta love Oliver Queen!LOL
I knew Emil still had something good in him and I wasn't surprised that Chloe was the one to see it. She knows him, she knows how he was before, the good he did and her choosing to go his way and try to bring that good man back again is awsome.
Oliver and Chloe were so cute until them disagreeing at the end. Is Oliver jealous of Chloe's past relationship with Clark? Chloe seems to be hurt badly by something that happened back in Smallville involving Clark. The way she reacted when she told the twins that the Blur wasn't part of their league here in Gotham. So sad. Oliver should give her the benefice of the doubt and let her try with her plans with Emil. He knows her better than anyone and should be able to understand where she's coming from and that what she saw in Emil is real. But I also understand his reactions because even though there might still be some good in Emil, he did some bad things, killed people and his creating an army to what I believe could lead to the destruction of the world and not protect it.
Can't wait for nex week episode.

I just finished 'Wonder', and I thought it was great! You cover so much ground, emotionally. From hints of a painful past with the 'Blur' on Chloe's part, to Bruce's memories of the murder of his parents, also with Ollie watching his friends back, (and how the three of them deal with such issues), I was more then satisfied. Very well done. Thank you.
I can't wait to see what you give us next!

I was a huge fan of "Idol". I didn't like the A-Plot with Clois, but the Wondertwins and Chloe saved the episode for me, and I really wanted them on the first season of Watchtower. I don't know if they'll ever return, but they're so fun haha. Thanks. And yes, Chloe got to officially name the heroes as the 'Wondertwins'. And Chloe's mother-like treatment to heroes and the innocent in Smallville was definately incorporated here so I'm glad you liked that too I hope it wasn't too obvious that when Alfred asked 'Why is all this happening now' then we cut to Chloe. Although there's not much of a connection, he recognises her as a hero, and she and both Oliver are trying to teach him about Vengeance and Justice, and its sort of catching on. But being taught that lesson has brought back some painful memories. And yeah, I didn't want Bruce to know Oliver's identity. I have a pretty nifty idea to pull off in season two between the two, so hopefully that'll come to pass. I glad you liked this story too, because I wasn't sure how many people would like the conflict for both characters this episode being each other, but I liked it, and I was hoping someone else would too haha, so thanks Maria! This episode really established that, and I wanted to show a bit of the old Emil. Unfortunately next week's episode is going to blow up in Chloe's face with her 'Emil is not the bad guy' revelation, and it drives her into a huge moment at the end of the episode. But, again, this story was shown because I think the audience really needs to connect with Emil without just seeing him as 'the villain' and I was hoping this episode established that. Always a little angst and drama. haha. No, he's not jealous. Oliver was referencing to the Zod/Davis drama of season's 8 and 9 of Smallville without just saying it out loud because he knew Chloe would know what he was talking about. He meant when Clark thought he had to save Zod from himself, now Chloe is singing a familiar tune by seeing the good in him, and now she wants to save him from himself. Much like the reference "He's killed people" where Chloe responds "And so have we". More references. Both characters understand each other so well, and have lived through similar stuff, and it came together in this conversation about whether or not who was right. So perfectly said, Maria. Haha, you understand a lot about these characters and I love reading your thoughts on everything. With the Blur, Chloe's really struggling. She truly does miss Clark, especially being apart of his life for so many years, but being a character that sacrifices a lot for the world, she knows they can't see each other again because he needs to move on and become the hero soon to be "Superman". With the situation between Oliver and Chloe's argument, we'll see more in the next episode. I think you'll like it. Thanks again for rating and reviewing! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on next week's episode!

I've just finished Wonder.... I'm really fascinated...i like how you report to Smallville... regarding Oliver's look to Chloe, i don't think he is jealous, but i think that he just realized how much she still miss Clark...and when he said "Clark's influenced you more than i thought" i think he was thinking about all the story with Davis, when they had the same exact discussion of killing him ... her words reminded him (and me also ) Clark... But i don't' agree with Chloe and I'm sure that Emil is still the bad guy..i agree once again with Ollie Regarding the twins you have done a great job...i liked their dialogs...they are really fun and i was also surprised to discover that Bruce doesn't know that Oliver is the green arrow...good point!! and for the Chlollie..only a word...wow :-) I really can't wait for the next episode.... thanks!!

Sorry I took so long reviewing, been having a busy week. Anyway, on to what I thought of 'Wonder'.
Overall I really liked this episode. The addition of the Wondertwins is what really made it a great episode for me. They just added an extra something to the episode that made it really fun whenever they were on screen. It's a pity we didn't see more of them though, I'd love to see them on Watchtower again.
Poor Bruce is really struggling isn't he? The confrontations between him and Oliver as 'The Green Arrow' were really interesting. Like a few other people who reviewed I kinda assumed for some reason that Bruce knew Oliver was The Green Arrow so it was good to be reminded that he doesn't. It adds that whole extra dynamic between the two when we see how Bruce reacts to Oliver and then how he reacts to 'The Green Arrow'.
I loved the little throw back to Smallville with the whole- Chloe: You know, cause some strife, grab their attention, and bring them to us. Oliver: Is it safe to assume you’ve done this sort of thing before? I believe I laughed out loud when I read that.
Nice to see Chloe in the thick of it again, always managing to get herself into crazy situations. You got to love her for it though :P Emil saving her at the end has really changed Chloe's opinion of him but I'm not sure if that's a good thing. I think I'm more on Oliver's side with this one, especially with what Emil was doing at the end of the episode, very ominous.
So my rating for this episode is 8.5/10. I really like this one, it was a pleasure to read and I'm looking forward to next weeks episode :)

Totally fine haha, busy-ness got in the way of me reviewing your pilot, but we both got to it in the end haha. So thanks!
Thanks! I've never really seen any other Wondertwins adaptions other than Smallville's, so comic knowledge and their animated show with the Superfriends is not something I am familiar with. So I'm not sure if there's many stories I have left with them, but I think they definately add a lighter side to the show, so maybe when Chloe's knee deep in the corruption of Gotham they can her light guiding her out of her darkness. I don't know haha.
But I would love to have them back :)
I really felt I already have Bruce know about Chloe's identity, and that plays the biggest arc for Bruce in this first half, mainly in the fifth and sixth episode of the season. So forcing the Green Arrow's identity would, to me, feel sorta forced -- especially when there's so much story I can pull off with these two friends.
I'm glad you liked the dynamic, it'll heat up hopefully if I get a second season with a Batman/Green Arrow confrontation :)
Hahaha! When I was writing the scene I realized its very similar to what happened on Smallville so I decided to do a little throwback in case someone spotted it out and was all "wait a second..." haha. Completely accidental, but I'm happy it turned into a good scene between Chloe and Oliver.
Chloe has a big heart, something I didn't want to rob of her. But as we know her heat sometimes gets in the way of her thinking clearly, and that'll definately be addressed in next week's episode. (P.S// I agree with Oliver too haha).
Thanks MJ! :)

JACK . I just have to say unlike other people. I will give you a 10 on your work Wonder was a good episode. It was good that the Wonder Twins reappeared again . I also love how she gave them there superhero names . Now here is what I thought of each character: Chloe: She seemed like a good girl . She was on top of everything in this episode. I liked how she was taking care of business and she took on Lucia without powers. I also like that she once again uses her Gun . I love that she is more pro-active in WT than Smallville. I also like how she is bringing the league back together again and that she is starting to make things work. I also liked how her and Oliver are having there first disagreement about Emil. Oliver: He is just getting better and better. I like that he is helping Bruce...or at least trying. I also like that he is acting like an older brother/father for Mia. I also like that he and Chloe arent agreeing on the Emil thing. Bruce: Now this dark road you are putting him on is pretty amazing . I like that he is having nightmares of his parents, drinking, and trying to kill thugs. It just shows that Bruce is just as mortal as anybody on this show. I really like how he and GA are arguing alot. Bruce is slowly becoming my favorite. Mia: Even though she was in the Teaser and the first part of Act 1 i still love her. I cant wait to see if she will stick around Gotham. She is one of the cooler members of Chloe's league. Although she kind of sucks at the espionage thing Wonder Twins: They are really amazing . I love these characters and I am sooooo glad that we all get to see them again. I love how you made them cause another accident that inadvertently put people in trouble. They are amazing . I also love how they brought up Clark Perry: I love that he is pro-active and that he is sort of getting closer to figuring out Chloes secret. Emil: He keeps surprising me. First he wants to kill Chloe and then he ends up saving her. You have written Emil well. I always thought he would end up saving Chloe one of these episodes I missed Huntress in this episode but hopefully she is caught up to speed on what has happened in this episode. Now here are myt questions: 1. What happened in Smallville that makes Chloe uncomfortable besides the whole Fake her death thing? 2. Why did you bring up Clark? 3. How come you didnt have Mia throughout the entire episode? 4. Is Perry always going to be getting into trouble? 5. Is Bruce going to figure out that GA is Oliver? 6. Why isnt Watchtower known to the world? ALL IN ALL I LOVED IT 10 for you

I must say when i usually read up on suc things it's so easy to vizualize this. this is amazing i've never imagined it would be put to action. one day i hope it becomes more than a script. the ones who vizualized this are brilliant. but i do have a few questions...will there be appearances of other familiar characters? Could there ever be another future trip for any of the characters? well that's my curiousity. there'll probably be more.
