This season really needs something big to get my interest back. It's only had a few good episodes, the rest were mediocre. The civil war in Heaven is more interesting than this whole Purgatory and Mother crap. Why isn't Ben Edlund showrunner again?
Really disappointed in TV this year, besides Vampire Diaries.

Couldn't have said it better. I haven't seen every episode this season. But the ones I did catch were either on the edge of pointless or just pure garbage. I get that you can't progress the main plot in every single episode a season but what they've been doing is becoming a bit much. I don't know if I'll be following the rest of the season if it keeps this up. Vampire Diaries is great this year. There are a few other shows that I've been impressed with, like Nikita But other than those two, I've been feeling a bit let down by most of my favorite shows.

I'm just hoping that the last few episodes of this season are at least enjoyable. And they don't try and stretch it into next season. They don't even have enough material for this season, and the stand-alones aren't strong enough to disguise this fact like in season 1 and 2.
And Vampire Diaires is great this year. One of the best seasons of TV I've seen in ages.

I gave up on Supernatural after that Fairy episode.
In my mind, the series ended with Dean have a happy ending with Lisa & Ben, Sam never came back, and all was right in the world.
*Love to dream*

Instead of season six, they should have made a spinoff about Castiel. Now THAT, I would watch.

That would actually be incredibly interesting. We must fund it!

I got on the supernatural train a little late, and only lasted two seasons before I stopped watching. I just got bored about a quarter way through the third season. Season Five looked really good, and then I saw "Swan Song" and thought it was a perfect way to end the series - had they kept Sam dead and left Dean to lead a normal life. But they decided to do a sixth season, which sounds pretty terrible.
But yes, I definately recommend the first two seasons to anyone, and just see if you can continue the series. And I really want to keep watching, to get to when Castiel is introduced, but I just can't get passed the third season for some reason.
Oh and this show is in desperate need of some female characters! LOL.

I've pretty much given up on Supernatural too. And Jack, you're absolutely. I couldn't get past the 3rd season either. I think I just saw like....5 episodes. Then I skipped to season 4! I thought that Katie Cassidy as Ruby would be a good reason for me to watch season 3 but...no it was just soo boring. I'd say watch seasons 1, 2, 4 and 5. Then call it quits just before the final few seconds of season 5.

It seems like I am the only one who liked season 3. It does start out slow, but the middle few episodes are all great.
I'll continue watching the show for probably another season and if it doesn't improve I'll just give it up. And we have something like 2 female characters left, Meg and Lisa. That's not good. Especially since I despise Lisa. Meg's awesome though.

I wish there was a new female character that took up more of a leading role with Sam and Dean. A new demon hunter maybe -- portrayed by Allison Mack maybe? lol
But seriously, that's would make me sooo happy. I'll probably watch the rest of this season after its over and if they have another one...i'll check it out only to see where they're going with it.

Allison Mack needs to play a hunter that has lost her humanity in the journey of getting revenge on these demons after her family was torn away from her because of them. And she'll be in like a 6-8 episode arc where she'll team up with the boys, fall in love with one of them, and rediscover her humanity. That or play a really hot BAMF demon.

I would sooo rather her have a relationship with Dean because Sam is just...yucko to me. I really don't like him at all. He has ups and down but it seems like all of his storylines in the entire show are just the same things thrown at us over and over again, in slightly different ways.

Plus, Sam lost his edge in season three. Imagine it! Allison Mack and Jensen Ackles. Bloody golden!

Do you really wanna put up with the Fangirl back lash? It was bad enough in season 2 and 3 with Jo and Ruby and that. Put one of the boys in an actual relationship and... I don't even wanna think about it. Still like the idea.

Actually, they should do something like introduce a love interest, or something radical. Something to get my interest back in the series and hopefully pissing off the fan-girls in the process.

Supernatural - Season 6
Compared to the previous 5 seasons, it wasn't that great. Better than most of the crap on TV, but it didn't have the awesomeness and the humor that Kripke brought to the series. There were several funny episodes sure, but there was also alot of emo or rooding going on as well.
A big problem for this season was the amount of storylines they tried to fit in. On a show like "Vampire Diaries" they could do it because its a show thats focused completey on the story arc. Supernatural on the other hand, is a far more stand-alone based show that has the occasional "arc" episode. With this season they tried to fit in so many storylines and it just became a big mess. Because of this alot of storylines came to a close far sooner than they should have, like the Mother of All.
On the subject of Dean, he became incredibly bland. Very few quotes, very few humorous moments and a ton of blandness. His relationship with Lisa really dragged his character down.
Sam, he was alright. Without a soul, he was awesome. No morals, no holding back. It gave the show some seriously good material. He was the star of the first half of the season. Then he got his soul back, and I really don't remember too much about him.
Castiel and Crowley were the true stars of the season however. Castiels downfall to the dark side and Crowley being Crowley. Whenever there was an episode with them in it, it really felt like Kripke's quality. Balthazar was great, hell, even Meg was more interesting than Dean or Soul-Sam.
That cliff-hanger however, was awesome. The show has just proven that it could possibly top even the Apocalypse and that's awesome.
This season wasn't particarly great. It had a ton of wasted potential and WAY TOO MUCH Brooding and dullness. It had its moments, like that Alternate TV world episode and anything with Castiel and Crowley. Plus a killer Cliffhanger, not the same level of awesome as Season 4's but big enough to be great.
Overall, I give this a 7/10
